Are y'all able to view the entire PDF? I can't get all the pages to load, like page numbers 9, 10, 11, 12 of the search warrant affidavit. Although I can see some black lines which looks like areas where text may have been redacted.

Just me?

I'm on pg 22 and so far nothing is missing that I can tell

same here. I downloaded from that oregonlive link. Perhaps I need to download a different one.

well I just read the whole thing (http://media.oregonlive.com/gresham_impact/other/holt1.pdf) and had to take a few breaks.

There's so much to comment on/speculate/etc. UGH so SO glad there's solid evidence in this whole thing. A LOT of the lingering questions people had seem to have answers in that affidavit too. Good night WS'ers :( I need to step away from this for the evening :/

I just suddenly realized that if friends/family found the SUV and the window was broken wide open, then they must have seen the inside as described. How utterly devastating! No wonder the family appeared to "already know" by the Thur press confr.

Yeah.. I had the same sickening reaction earlier. I think they knew. I can't even imagine.

What do you think the "sound department" stuff is about? (From the pdf, page 6).

Well my husband is in the "sound department" in our local cong and works the controls for the sound on occasion, the speakers, there are various aspects of it (mic adjusters for the stage, roving mics for audience participation , music controls, Etc etc) and are delegated out. My husband also gets a "list" of what day he is assigned to help. Of course it is a list with about 20 other names, not just 2 as in the affidavit here...so that is the Only insight I can offer. Perhaps the report doesn't clarify that there were more than those two names?

Does anyone know if Holt was charged with first or second degree Abuse of Corpse? (Below bolded by me -- I think this may be the charge)

Source: http://www.leg.state.or.us/ors/166.html
Oregon Revised Statutes: Abuse of Corpse

166.085 Abuse of corpse in the second degree. (1) A person commits the crime of abuse of corpse in the second degree if, except as otherwise authorized by law, the person intentionally:
(a) Abuses a corpse; or
(b) Disinters, removes or carries away a corpse.
(2) Abuse of corpse in the second degree is a Class C felony.
(3) As used in this section and ORS 166.087, “abuse of corpse” includes treatment of a corpse by any person in a manner not recognized by generally accepted standards of the community or treatment by a professional person in a manner not generally accepted as suitable practice by other members of the profession, as may be defined by rules applicable to the profession. [1971 c.743 §225; 1985 c.207 §2; 1993 c.294 §1]

166.087 Abuse of corpse in the first degree. (1) A person commits the crime of abuse of corpse in the first degree if the person:
(a) Engages in sexual activity with a corpse or involving a corpse; or
(b) Dismembers, mutilates, cuts or strikes a corpse.
(2) Abuse of corpse in the first degree is a Class B felony. [1993 c.294 §2]

I think they might figure that abuse of a corpse would be the act of disposing the body in a manner not befitting someone...in other words, dumping in a wooded area would be "abusing" the corpse.

WARNING GRAPHIC

I am talking to my husband, who is a nurse, and he is saying the "white and red matter on the windshield, and the clumps of hair found around the vehicle" point to a gunshot to the head.

I'm a nurse also and those were my first thoughts, too.

Just finished reading the search warrant.

Interesting that the only phone call made from Holt's phone that Tuesday: A call to the Starbucks where Whitney worked at 6:00 AM. Was he checking to see if she was at work already?

So...I always thought that it was found at WalMart in Wood Village...but KATU reports it wasn't...:

"One of Whitney’s friends was the first person to find her Ford Explorer at a Shell gas station in Troutdale in the afternoon of the day she disappeared."

Gotta be a mistake in reporting. I have video frames of them towing the car away and you can clearly see Walmart (sign and all) in the background. In fact, that's the photo I have that shows the rear license plate.

I used to writ for TheOregonian....Amy is very credible and accurate as a reporter.

If he'd stolen her iPhone, then why were Clint and all her friends/family trying to text her? Clint would've heard about it if her phone went missing. I know I'd have torn the house apart.

Unless I'm reading it wrong I think he stole Clint's phone, not Whitney's. Clint probably got a new phone by the time this horror happened.

Gunshots possibly? Thank you for the page reference! Unfortunately I still couldn't find the "sound department" stuff you mentioned but that was my first thought.

Wow...answers to lots of our questions in those docs. Very interesting read. They had videos from Walmart and Shell very early on.

Whitney's car was found at Walmart, not Shell.

Yes, sounds like it was an old phone that wasn't being used. Clint didn't even know it was missing until the detectives mentioned it to him.

This was along the lines of what I was thinking too.

I had missing pages too, although not the same missing pages...weird.
