It looks like he is looking at the receipt. And it looks like he is quite pleased with himself. Thats my take, at least! Someone is going to know him/ his car/ his jacket. His DNA on the glove, prints on the knife, his time is coming near. Some camera saw the front/ back of the car more clearly. They prob know who he is but not where he is. I wonder if she wasn't screaming "Who are you? What do you wamt?" kind of thing that they know she didnt know him.

The older pic is from her parent(s) and is really old. In high school, she lived with her grandma and moved back to Philly 2 years ago. The first pics released was from a parent. Thus the very old pics. She just moved out of her grandpa's house. Now newer pics are being released from other family members. The 2 pics look drastically different. Come home safe, Carlesha!
 
Any camera from the area of the ATM? I wonder if it's possible to know if he was alone.

I'm so worried for Carlesha. If this was money motivated why take her? Just grab her wallet and GO. Most bank ATMs have withdrawal limits, typically between 300$-500$. Not with a life or spending forever in jail.
 
Finally caught up, and most of what I originally planned to say has been said. I'm just going to throw out a jumbled mess of questions, observations and/or thoughts that came to me while I was reading.

From the first time I watched the video, it looked to me like the bus was stopping for a red light (not a bus stop) which turned green right away. It looked to me like the lights for the cross street turned yellow just as the bus appeared and red before it completely stopped. It also looked to me like she walked to the corner, waited for the light to change and then crossed, but she may have been waiting for the light until he showed up there and crossed on the red. I'm just not sure there was enough time between the bus going through the intersection and her reaching it for the light to change again, and I'm too lazy to look again right now.

If she was on a bus, I can't see him following it any distance without looking suspicious; not many people pull up behind city buses at each stop and continue to follow. They can also make more turns than most traffic, etc. I think it's more likely that he saw her get off the bus and start walking, drove past her, turned the corner to wait for her and then made his move. OR

She never got on a bus, and he was someone she was somewhat familiar with. I'm curious to know if she posted on FB or somewhere else about the party she was going to, and he "just happened" to drive by as she was headed to the bus stop. If she knew him from work, or somewhere else, she might not know the side of him we saw in the video and assumed it was safe to accept a ride with him. If that were the case, she might have gotten out at a red light/stop sign because he was acting/talking weird, and he tried talking her into getting back into the car. When it didn't work, he could have driven to the next street, parked, etc... If she wasn't expecting to be walking home before that, she wouldn't really need to call her bf. She could have been getting ready to call him when X showed up at the corner (which is why he got so close the first time.) When she appeared to talk to him after crossing the street, she could have just been telling him there was no way she'd get back in the car and she'd rather walk.

A couple things struck me about his looks, too. For some reason, I got the impression that he wasn't as big as he appeared. I'm not sure why, but he looked to me like he was wearing extra layers of clothes to look heavier than he was (which could be part of the reason he had such a hard time handling her - her self-defense moves was another!), and in the full body picture at the ATM, he looked like he had very small feet for a man. I'm not saying he's a female, since they could probably tell, but he just struck me as a fairly small man.

I guess I'll stop now, this is already becoming another novel. Maybe I'll post questions later. As usual, all MOO.

I too think the item on the dash is an inspection sticker. There are a few states including VA that put the sticker in the middle of the windshield. Given that she has ties to Maryland and an ex-boyfriend who wouldn't leave her alone....I agree with her family that it appears she knew the guy. Maybe recognized him but not someone she knew well. She puts her hand out to him like they were going to shake hands. Plus she stops across the street and waits for him to catch up. I also think it is suspect that he arrives almost at the exact time the bus pulls up and she gets off. Then he gets out of the car and casually walks to the corner. Nothing about their interaction feels like complete strangers to me. It's been over 36 hours at this point and the guy used her ATM card alone. If he is at the ATM then where is she that she isn't being watched? I just don't have a good feeling about it.
 
Do we know if he was able to get money out? It looks like he is holding a bunch of slips in his hand, like he was guessing at the pin number?! It also looks like he is half smiling....he has to know he is on camera at an ATM?? Something is just off with this whole thing. I'm just not sure what it is that is making me feel like there is a big part of the puzzle missing.

Maybe a cultural thing? Upthread (post #241) Kaliste posted that Grandma was speaking Spanish at the press conference. Wonder if B is Hispanic and this was a sign of respect?

He's probably smiling because he got a good look at her remaining balance.
 
I just came here from seeing this video.God, i was crying. Like others have said, seeing an abduction is so,so horrific. We imagine most but seeing it and seeing her fight so hard for her life was so hard to see.

I hope they catch this horrid perp and please let her be found safe.

It seemed to me that the FBI was called in very quickly for this....even before the crossing state lines was confirmed. I feel like there is something big being kept under wraps. Her behavior wasn't her normal behavior....she allegedly got off the bus 3 stops early (someone living in this part of Germantown, esp someone who has had problems with stalkers, would never have done that) She had her phone but didn't call her BF as planned and her abductor seems incredibly calm for a man who is about to abduct a woman. His behavior is just as suspect....he never even looks around when he crosses the street. He is very casual with his movements until he actually grabs her. Someone who is about to do something like this would more than likely glance around once or twice., He doesn't do that....why??
 
One of the questions I had was about the family saying the guy didn't look familiar to them when shown his picture. Was the grandmother there when they looked at it, or didn't they say? It seems that she'd recognize him if it were the guy she's been naming. MOO TIA ETC
