The video of him at the supermarket is a Philly store, according to the article. So we know he was in the general area at least 8 hours before he took Carlesha.

Do we know where in Philly this supermarket is? Unless he's just spent the day pootling about the general area in his motor, this could be great evidence that he's more local than we're assuming from the Maryland footage.

I'm behind on this one. I saw an interview with the father. The interviewer stated the father was a former prosecutor. Perhaps this is a revenge kidnapping against the father. Maybe it's payback for putting someone in jail.

They may have asked shop owners to review footage or a citizen may have called in a tip that they saw the guy in such and such store earlier that day.

That is the clearest footage I've seen if him yet!! Someone knows him. He will be caught soon, he has to be.

If he was in that grocery store 8 or so hours before the abduction, my opinion is he lives in the area, and not in Maryland.

I do see a similarity when looking at the photos, BUT I watched the presser live yesterday, I don't know who he is, but IMO he is considerably taller than the POI, he was more or less the tallest person in the room at the presser. The POI doesn't seem to be that much taller than Carlesha. Facially I do see a similarity though.

Maybe they are related, thus look alike?

Facebook comments say it's an Acme, but it's unknown where.

ETA, the closest Acme to Germantown is:

Philadelphia - Roxborough
5927-59 Ridge Avenue
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19128

How would the FBI know where to look for surveillance video of the POI *before* the abduction even took place unless they knew who he was?

Excellent question. It's not as if they've scanned every security tape from every business in Philly and just *happened* to find this guy. It's possible that could happen, but not in the last 24 hours unless they had 100 people doing nothing but scanning videos.

I just watched the "handshake" video and she definitely puts her hand out first. I'm not implying anything by that, just noticing.

Would you mind pointing me to the post # that has a link to this video? I haven't seen this one yet. TIA!

I'm catching up and this may have been addressed but after watching that video last night I thought maybe he shouted "hey you dropped this" he puts his hand out first, only just but then Carlesha puts her hand out, it does look like they are shaking hands but I was thinking he may have tricked her into thinking she dropped something. Think about it, you are walking along and someone calls you dropped something, you turn, they put their hand out, you see that and instinctively do too, before you have time to even think what did you drop.

Someone on this thread suggested CF-G may have been putting hand to to signal "back off" to perp because he was getting too close and she clearly seemed threatened. That sounds likely to me. After all, the dude nearly ambushes her before she crossed the street, as shown by the way she veers left and then right while crossing the street.

Does this case have a media link thread yet? It would helpful, I feel like people are starting to get all the videos confused. There are 5 now correct?
Abduction
"handshake"
ATM (or just pics I believe)
Gas station in MD
Grocery store in PA

Is that correct?

I'm on my phone and trying to juggle a fussy infant at the moment or I would link the videos. Mods, can we get a media thread or sticky the videos somewhere?

ETA: thanks to Miziree for a link to 4 videos released by LE

He picked up sour cream and onions chips in both video, I think HeRRs brand or Toms. Maybe they came to them with the information of the video not the other way around.. What it shows is he planned it

This guy obviously isn't a complete fool, he is able to use the self-checkout counter at the supermarket. A bunch of people I know wouldn't even know how to use one of those machines. I take it he must be using yet another stolen debit card, or they would have tracked the transaction right to his bank account.

Yes, that is correct, and only the grocery store in PA is BEFORE the abduction.

Yeah, I noticed in the abduction video he's on the sidewalk after he crosses the street (right after he gets out of his car) but then cuts across into the grass before he gets to the sidewalk she's on. Being as it was dark in that area and he was wearing dark clothes he probably just suddenly popped out of nowhere from her perspective.
