I’ve always understood not to submit matches who both have DNA tests completed in namus and have been told as much by Dustin Driscoll. You’re saying that’s not the case?

Supposedly the new system deals with the sorts of issues we had run into in the past. It goes out to check many databases that weren't previously checked, and I think they also tightened the requirements for when a profile can say that DNA is available. I suppose there will always be the possibility of mistakes but hopefully they'll be much less common.

In this particular case, where we have a family member's statement that the dentals didn't mach either, I'd say it's not worth pursuing without much stronger evidence that a mistake might have been made.

I'm going to take a wild leap and say investigators are onto a great possibility. Just added to NamUs today. No Investigating Agency but Tpr Andrew Martin is Case Manager for both. C on the ring - for Cynthia?

Was last seen by family in 2006.
Known to frequent Ridley Creek State Park, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

I'm hoping our WhtFem may soon have a name so she can be laid to rest.

That looks promising, except for her age, but it's just an estimate.
The signet ring and the circumstances mesh.

45 to 50 is not much of a difference. Everything seems to match and her look is pretty similar too.

Updated ruleouts now includes Toni Sharpless, so that's definitely official.

Yea, I wasn't to hung up on the age, they've been wrong before.

Just about to ask the same thing...
CCJD you said "I'm going to take a wild leap and say investigators are onto a great possibility. Just added to NamUs today. No Investigating Agency but Tpr Andrew Martin is Case Manager for both. C on the ring - for Cynthia?"

Do you know investigators are looking into this?

Just clarifying, did you submit her, or are they already looking at the match? Looks like an excellent match.

No, I'm not submitting. Don't see the need to. Same LE for both but no Investigating Agency for Cynthia. And the detail that Cynthia frequented Ridley State Park. I'd bet dollars to donuts that Cynthia has been added to NamUs as part of the DNA process.

This is much like when Lucille Frye was entered into NamUs and then ID'd as the Rice Twp Jane Doe. Or Teala Thompson and the Salem Twp girl. And the current Mary Arcuri and the remains found in Garfield. In each case, the ID is/was almost a given but with LE is going through NamUs/UNT for DNA the cases get added to the NamUs site.

I can find no info on Ms Jenkins on an internet search. Anyone else?
How did you come across her?
Anyone willing to call and submit? Makes me nervous not to.

As I put in my original post, Cynthia was just added to NamUs. I check cases for PA every day and that's how I came across her.

I will email Amy at NamUs to check and make sure it's being looked at.

Thank you. I was just looking up the info.

Anyone with information can call Trooper Andrew Martin at 215-452-5251 or the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers’ toll-free hotline at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (1-800-472-8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

Your theory about her being added to namus so they can DNA match makes sense. So great to see cases being resolved like this with DNA technology!
