I’ve always understood not to submit matches who both have DNA tests completed in namus and have been told as much by Dustin Driscoll. You’re saying that’s not the case?
Supposedly the new system deals with the sorts of issues we had run into in the past. It goes out to check many databases that weren't previously checked, and I think they also tightened the requirements for when a profile can say that DNA is available. I suppose there will always be the possibility of mistakes but hopefully they'll be much less common.
In this particular case, where we have a family member's statement that the dentals didn't mach either, I'd say it's not worth pursuing without much stronger evidence that a mistake might have been made.
