Okay - thanks for all that other info though!

Maybe Lane - like her daughter's middle name? Just guessing! :)

Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts. Not sure why it's just on those two though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ MOO

This is pure speculation, but my guess is there had to be an administrative override due to the three defendants having the same criminal complaint number and that's how it's differentiated for the docket.

Assuming there’s no underlying physical/cognitive explanation for not being toilet-trained, wearing diapers at 7 suggests he never got pressured by his peers to wear big kid underwear because he had no peers. No friends. Poor little guy. JMO.
There were no peers. He was never enrolled in school. He was neglected at a minimum. Probably was not taken to a physician in years or he would have been taken away sooner. She hid all this for years. Mom knew what she was doing.

I wonder if she was getting child support, welfare or the new child care plan for all the children?

Wednesday, November 17th:
*Preliminary Hearings for all (@ 1:39pm ET) – PA - *Jasman Jean (4) & Nicole Elizabeth (6) Snyder (missing/last seen since Sept. 2015 & found Nov. 6 & 7, 2021 buried in Williamsport City, Lycoming County; Jasman: died/was killed & subsequently buried in 2017 & Nicole: died/was killed & subsequently buried in 2016, both in the back yard on Livermore Rd.) - *Marie Sue Snyder (27 @ time of first crime/32) arrested & charged (11/5/21) with endangering the welfare of children & obstruction in child abuse cases. No bond.
*Echo Lane Butler (21 @ time of first crime/26) arrested & charged (11/5/21) with endangering the welfare of children & obstruction in child abuse cases. No bond.
*Michele L. Butler (43 @ time of first crime/48) (mother of Echo) arrested & charged (11/9/21) with 2 counts of felony endangering the welfare of children & 1 count of misdemeanor obstruction in child abuse cases. No bond.
When questioned Sept. 15, 2015 about daughters Jasman & Nicole their mother claimed they were living with a friend and being homeschooled. She would not provide the friend’s name but said she would contact her. Snyder has never provided that name. Echo Butler, when questioned Sept. 25, 2015 about the two girls, claimed they were with a friend but would not provide a name or location. Ronald Butler, the owner of the Livermore Road property, told Children & Youth on Sept. 26 his daughter Echo, Snyder & her son had packed their belongings & left. Joshua Snyder, the girls’ father, told the agency he had not seen his children since 2015 because of custody & protection from abuse orders. Children & Youth confirmed Jasman & Nicole had not been enrolled in school & the last contact for medical or court purposes was 2015.
The agency on Sept. 7, 2021 began an investigation into Jesse’s welfare after it learned from a medical provider the boy was not enrolled in school, had limited knowledge of basic numbers & the alphabet & was not toilet trained. It was during that investigation that questions were raised about Jasman & Nicole, who today would be 8 and 11, respectively.

11/6/21: The remains of a small child were recovered from a property north of Williamsport Saturday where police were searching for the bodies of two sisters missing since 2015. 11/7/21: Remains of what appears to be a second young child have been unearthed in Lycoming County and police say the case is now considered a homicide. Old Lycoming Twp. Police Chief Christopher Kriner said the remains found along Livermore Road will be sent to a pathologist for further analysis. Snyder was arrested 11/5/21 Friday morning at her place of employment in Clinton County & jailed without bail on charges of endangering the welfare of children & obstruction in child abuse cases. She is accused of violating her duty of care for her daughters & impeding the investigation. Also charged was Echo Butler, 26, described by police at Snyder’s girlfriend. She is facing the same charges & is also jailed without bail. Snyder's son has been placed in the custody of Lycoming Children and Youth Services. A decision on additional charges will be made after consultation with Lycoming County District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner. Michele Butler was arrested Tues, 11/9/21 at a home in Williamsport City. She is Echo Butler's mother & resided in the 653 Livermore Rd. residence with Echo, Marie Snyder & the Snyder Children. Preliminary hearings for all 3 on 11/17/21.

Dental X-rays being used to try to confirm identity of children’s remains found in rural Pa.

Nov., 17, 2021
WILLIAMSPORT – Dental X-rays are being used in an attempt to confirm the remains of children found in Lycoming County earlier this month are those of Nicole Elizabeth and Jasmine Jean Snyder.

That was the report Wednesday from Dennis Dirkmaat, chair of the Department of Applied Forensic Sciences at Mercyhurst University.
[.....]
District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner has not provided any recent updates on the investigation. Search warrant affidavits have been sealed.

No one has been charged with the deaths but the girls’ mother, Marie Sue Snyder, 32, and two others are jailed without bail charged with endangering the welfare of children and obstruction in child abuse cases.

Michele L. Butler, 48, and her daughter Echo Lane Butler, 26, are facing the same charges.

Have not found any more current articles regarding the hearing - anyone in the U.S. find anything? TIA!

I’m surprised the children had visited a dentist.

Add this to the mountain stack of cases where the parents use "homeschooling" to keep their kids isolated and abused. There really should be some sort of system to get homeschooled kids registered and regularly visited, if only to make sure they are ALIVE and clean and fed properly.

I did notice that the articles spelled Jasman's name as Jasmine - do we have the correct spelling?
TIA! :)

Good question. For the most part, her name has been spelled "Jasman" but it is spelled "Jasmine" in the photo of a custody agreement below.

So.... do you think we should have her name changed on the Title of this thread? If it's like that in Legal documents - that must be how it is spelled....
