If Kortne was stomping after the fiest encounter with the neighbor, wouldnt it have been the downstairs neighbor who would have heard her? Is it possible the next door neighbor would hear that? I can see loud noise and partying, but stomping im not so sure....

I would think too that the downstairs neighbor would be more likely than the next door neighbor to be bothered by the stomping but this whole case is causing me to reconsider all my presuppositions.

Phone Calls to Police:

1. Saturday, July 28: Before Midnight

Call would have been noise re the partying in K's apartment which led to K's BF's arrest:

Snipped

She became angry at her neighbors [JR & RS], who she thought called police about the party.

2. Sunday, July 29

Call was from JR & RS (neighbors who live below K's apt) to report K's altercation with Saksek (TS):

Snipped

...they [JR & RS] saw Kortne kick and swing at Todd Saksek, who lives in the other half of the duplex.

They said Kortne’s friend [CP] stepped between them.

3. Sunday, July 29

Call was from Saksek who reported stomping & banging sounds from K's apt:

Snipped

According to Kortne’s father and neighbors, Saksek called police after Kortne stomped on her apartment floor in anger.

Police said they knocked on both doors but made no contact with Kortne or Saksek, according to Matthew Scott, a Stouffer family friend.

The first call about the partying going on Saturday before Midnight, IMO, may have been from Saksek which led to K's BF's arrest.

The last call to LE was from Saksek who did not answer his door when police responded.

The second call was from the downstairs neighbors reporting an altercation between Kortne and Saksek.

If she was angry with the downstairs neighbor, why would she have an altercation with Saksek?

The last call was from Saksek who did not answer the door. Why did LE leave? That's patently absurd - and not just in my opinion.

Many of us have had questions about the second caller answering the door, a lot of us found it curious at best, suspicious at worst.

I'm not planning on walking that back anytime soon. It's strange, possibly alarming behavior, most especially following a physical confrontation.

I call b*ll$h!t on the heard nothing, door ignoring neighbor.

At this point - FOUR WEEKS LATER - he needs to account for his previous statements and provide a reason why he did not answer the door.

I live within a few miles, have stood in front of his house, taking pictures, leaving flowers...with an 18 year old girl, had dinner at an outside table across the street with the same girl. Yes, I want to know. I don't mind at all if his lawyer speaks for him. Yippee! Somebody'd bloody well better speak. It's personal.

LE needs to account for why they WALKED AWAY from what we now understand to be the THIRD CALL in 6 - 8 hours to the residence of a young woman involved in a PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION with the THIRD CALLER. WALKED AWAY.

Whatthehell is that about?! Where does that happen? Where is that OK? Not in my neighborhood.

I'm disgusted and extremely angry. So much slithery obfuscation it's nauseating.

Who's accountable for *anything* in this whole stinking morass? No one thus far. No one!

WHERE IS KORTNE?!

Good morning Sleeping Beauty!

Ha! Thanks. It looks like I've had too much coffee.

I might be off on a tear, possibly a full on rampage.

What I need is one of those scrolling script boxes I can put in my rear car window that keeps looping what I typed in my previous post. Then I should drive around and around the police station. Or just back into a parking space and read for a while.

Interesting that it has been reported that CP explains that Kortne was stomping because she was still steaming about----Saksek (TS), and not the neighbors who live below her:

Snipped

They said Kortne’s friend stepped between them.

And the last call to the police is from TS who complained about stomping and banging noises.

So CP's explanation of the stomping and banging coming from the apartment matches
what the last call in to the police was about and is being reported today as coming from TS, not the downstairs neighbors.

Considering she weighs 115 lbs and was probably barefoot or wearing sandals, how stompy could she be? I guess she could jump off furniture or something. Maybe CP was also stomping.

Right. In my opinion, a very odd circumstance, knowing that the stomper disappeared very shortly thereafter.

Best post in WS history?

I understand why Kortne's mother has withdrawn. I'd have to be sedated.

God bless Kortne's father. What an indefatigable champion she has in him.

I've no dount that Scott Stouffer will follow anybody and everybody to the gates of Hell for Kortne.

And the respect, support and compassion he has displayed towards his ex-wife, the Mother of his children, has been clearly visible. I commend him for that as well.

This case reminds me of the Brianna Maitland (VT — March, 2004) disappearance when people called her parents saying they’d seen Brianna tied up in the woods...

"Scott Stouffer has received dozens of calls from people claiming to have information about his daughter. One told of seeing her alive. In a cage. The person described a spot along Swatara Creek. It was near where another person described seeing her walking along the road.” http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2012/08/kortne_stouffer_disappeared_am.html

Ah-ha! She could have left her car at *a gas station* across the street from *The Gas Station*. We previously discussed how bad the parking is and that Kortne may have parked across the street.

Nice catch, PalmyraDad!

My idea of a gas station is the pump canopy at Sheetz.

Thanks but that wasn't me that caught that. I just agreed and posted the Google Earth image. (I deleted the post with the image because it was wrong since the gas station is now a Subway.)

EDIT: Thanks goes to Unscripted.

IF there was a call to LE or to Kortne's BF's probation officer, I'm speculating that it came from Saksek. Perhaps, TS had some connection (since there appears to have been problems between them), and had previously discovered who his probation officer was. TS may have triggered the visit by the probation officer on Saturday night before Kortne went out.

Speculating that during the confrontation that led to the police instructing all to return to their respective apartments, the downstairs neighbors may have insisted to Kortne that they did not call the police nor probation officer which led to her BF's arrest. Kortne then may have either believed it was Saksek, or places the blame on him and confronts him.

Don't people get in legal trouble for supplying alcohol to minors, assuming minors actually drink the alcohol?

Seems to be a creepy recurring theme. I don't understand why anyone feels the need to torture someone already living a nightmare. It's sick.

Intetesting article. The only person Im questioning at this is the person her dad mentions she owes money to. I wondet if he knowd who that person is......

Bumping this up regarding the possibility of KS owing money:

"Stouffer said he has spoken with everyone involved in the early morning disturbance. He said he’s also learned of potentially dangerous circumstances beyond his daughter’s immediate neighborhood.

"On that night in Harrisburg, for example, when Kortne argued with a young man and his girlfriend, she was thrown out of the bar. Stouffer said Kortne knew the man, but he doesn’t know the source of the dispute.

"He said another man had been angry with Kortne because she owed him money.”

Even if he didn't take one sip, he was breaking the terms of his probation anyway. I think every probation agreement includes a clause that the probationer is not to be around drugs/alcohol period, and this would be especially true for a DUI charge.
