I'm still looking over this little boys story. His case can go many ways.I read this,I believe it was written in 1957?I thought they said much later the shirt was a size 4 and did fit the boy in the box but the shoes were too big for him.Was that size 4 shirt the same clothes mentioned here?

Quote
Two hundred feet from the body, along Verree Road, police searchers found a cache of clothing for a woman and child - but the smaller clothing was not the dead boy's size.

A story told by an informant who later contacted police seemed to cast some light on this clothing, but created a new mystery.

Two days before the body was found, said the man to Lieutenant William Lovejoy of the northeast detective division, he had been driving along Verree Road when he saw a middle-aged woman and a boy, 12 to 14, unloading something from the trunk of a car.

I have a new theroy I'm looking at.Can they draw a picture of what the little boy in the box mother may looked like.I'm thinking the boy in the box and his mother may have been missing together?

So, I'm not sure if anyone has thrown this out there, but the time frame would be about right. And Pennsylvania isn't incredibly far from Canada and the father of Larry did try to kidnap him once before. The tip of this child's middle finger is missing though. The story of Larry just doesn't add up to me. But I guess anything is worth a shot right?

I'm curious if any one can make a sketch of what this little boy in the box mother would have looked like.

I wouldn't want to attempt it. There is no way to predict how much (if at all) one's appearance is taken from the father, or from the mother. I resemble my father, while my older brother more resembles my mother. The younger of my two sisters resembles neither our Father nor our Mother.

I know.I have a couple of children I don't think look like me and a couple children do look like me.But I know they are mine.I remember very clearly giving birth to them.I know Frank Bender did a bust of what the father would have looked like.I thought why not try to see what the mother would like too.

Here's the bust of what Frank Bender said the little boy in the box father would like.Frank Bender is very good. It's at the bottom of the page.I'm just wondering why they did the father and not the mother and why no hair on the father. It's the mother people might remember with her son.

Thank you.I wish I knew how to do that.

Here is a very quick attempt to change her hairstyle. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z99/Zanko123/MomboyinboxattemptCblondJPEG.jpg

There are some amazing digital artists out there, and would love some to join in here at websleuths. My attempts are crude but well intended. If you squint really hard, I think you can get an idea. Maybe it will spur on someone with more talent and better software! This little boy is always on my mind and I'd love to see this case solved. Thanks Ms Suzanne for keeping the thread going!

Thank you so much.I hope some other people can do some pictures of what this little boys mother might have looked like too.

I'm still looking into this little boy.I asked a few years back if he could possibly be connected to a Unidentified Man found October 9 1958 in Bedford Pennsylvania.I was reading on NamUs.They did tests and said he was from European Ancestry just like this little boy in the box. From the Americas unknown boy website it says.Dr. Krogman estimated that the boy had been in chronic ill health - with accompanying malnutrition - for about a year. He described the boy as having "a long narrow head, a high narrow face, and a high narrow nose." That, to him, was enough to speculate on Northwest European ancestry - Scandinavia, West Germany, or England or Scotland.

On NamUs It goes on to say they saw a man in September that said he was going from Kentucky to Canada.I just found that interesting.

NamUs

https://identifyus.org/cases/full_report/8011

Alot of more information on this man found on the NamUs report.

Anthropologic examinations conducted in 1959 and again in 2003 revealed the victim to have been an adult male of European ancestry, likely between the ages of 30-35 with a living stature of about 6'4" (+/- 2").

Thank you Zanko.I'm just trying to keep this little boys story and picture out there to help find out who he is.I care very much for this little boy.I pray someone recognizes him and knows something and he is Identified very soon.He deserves his name.

Is LE or anyone going to have a vigil in February for this little boy to remember him?

I don't know.. But I would go. I am not far from there. This case has bothered me for years. I just don't understand the depravity of some people.. I have a little boy about this boys age and size.. I can not imagine.. I just can't.

I have been looking at the links provided and am hoping in my lifetime, This child gets a name.
