This has hit close to home. It's terrible. And I hope justice is served. And I think we all know who is to blame. That was a no brainer as soon as the reports started coming out.

It upsets me to see some of the comments posted under the news articles about how she should have left, she knew how he was, so this is her fault. Women in this situation tend to be more afraid of what may happen to them or a family member if they try to leave than they are of the beatings. People who post things can be so ignorant. Her family, friends and young students are reading these things. It's horrible.

She was such a wonderful teacher, her students keep posting about her. Her family loved her and she them. It's just so terribly sad she couldn't find the strength to break away from this abuser.
It seems he tried to commit suicide. I for one am glad he didn't succeed. I believe he killed her and he should suffer for the rest of his life.
Those poor kids, so sad

IMO

So I wonder who took him to the hospital if the police seemed to not know where he was??

Any word on why he is in the hospital?

The only thing I've found is that he has an unspecified ailment and is being admitted.

"Ms. Stahl's husband, David Stahl, was being treated this afternoon in the emergency room of Excela Westmoreland Hospital, said Jennifer Miele, a spokeswoman for Excela Health. His condition was not immediately available, but Ms. Miele said Mr. Stahl was to be admitted."

"Shortly after investigators found Stahl’s body, they began searching for her husband, David, who has not been named a suspect at this time. Channel 11 News later learned David Stahl was hospitalized in Greensburg. However, authorities did not say how he was injured or how seriously."

They really aren't releasing much info about the events of the day involving him. Hopefully they'll release the details after he's charged.

It may be a teaser but on WTAE it said he would be admitted to hospital and charges are being filed on him.

IMO, I wonder if he did try suicide 'attempt' (pills?) or fake heart attack thinking LE couldn't get him inside a hospital?

IMO, that attempt whatever.......is a 'confession'

nice and these guys walk among us.........

wtae has a recent video reporting that he did attempt suicide. Sorry, I would paste the video link, but I'm pretty new to the site and haven't tried to figure that out yet

nice and these guys walk among us.........

It would be nice if they wouldn't date or marry us until they learned how to treat us respectfully. So much for "love and cherish", huh? I'd hate to see what they'd do if they hated us.

according to this video, Ms. Stahl was strangled.
How sad, I bet she fought for her life with all the evidence brought out of house.
and we found out he drank..........

The video also quoted the police as saying, "Justice will come through the victim's husband."

Maybe. Sure, he'll go to prison, but there is no such thing as real justice in these cases. Never will be.

It makes me sick to my stomach. I had a hyster, and yes, it is a very difficult recovery. She was a great stepmom to his kids, and had no kids of her own, and yet a very loved teacher.

Sometimes life is so cruel. I hope that he gets the proverbial book thrown at his you-know-what. :(
