Great post!! That sums up my impression of him, too. I also find odd the description of Jodi "changing" around the time she joined PPL & the Mormon Church--he describes it as completely unemotional and dry.

They lived together as a couple "in love" (his characterization) and one day she stops paying her share of the bills and forces the house into foreclosure, decides that she must become 'chaste' and he must move into a separate bedroom, etc. and it's just no big deal. That's a little strange.

I also found it odd that DB fails to admit: The real reason Jodi dumbed him - moving him into another bedroom and demanding they become chaste - was because she'd met Travis and was dating him. DB knows this; yet he avoids admitting the TRUTH. This makes no sense at this point. MOO

Am wondering if it was a tactic by the defense to set up appeals by not allowing Darryl to testify? This is just crazy, this was a witness for the defense. In Darryl's interview he said he was stalled and then learned that he was not going to testify with no reason given. Something stinks here!

That was my first thought and I can't seem to get off of it. By not letting anyone testify, they are setting up a scenario for appeals where they can claim there wasn't a fair trial and it was so bad they couldn't even bring any witnesses to the stand during the mitigation phase.

Nothing else makes any sense. Not that that does.... but it makes a tiny bit of sense.

Maria Delarosa (mitigation specialist for JA) has billed AZ for 100 hrs @ $100 per hour = $10,000. :facepalm:

$10,000 for 5 months work does not sound like THAT much! Of course...it's about 4 months too looooooong, though!

I would be curious to know if Jodi was in agreement that there would be no witness testifying for her during this phase or did Nurmi decide this on his own today because motions were denied. Did he do this as a temper tantrum? I wouldn't think so. I think it is for appeals.

Travis was her "Christian Grey" and thats ALL she wanted! She shoulda pulled an Anastasia and left him rather than slaughter him...Maybe she only read 50 Shades of Grey and not 50 Shades Darker...idk...she is a sick chick.

I agree. The DT has some devious plan with all this. JVM earlier said he was in the hotel next door waiting to go and the DT did not call him. So, from what I heard he was ready and willing. The DT probably purposely did not call him, and then later they are going to say that there was some kind of confusion and that is what they are going to base their appeals on.

It is all a DT tactic and I sure hope the judge has asked for help in her rulings to be sure things are done right. The DT is trying something and this DB thing and the mom not testifying are all part of it IMO.

I don't think their "some kind of confusion" is gonna fly, especially since Nurmi specifically said, in court, there were no witnesses that would testify. Can an attorney purger themselves?

EtA: Gonna have to run this by DH and see what he think.

Don't you think it has to be more than that ? She has sat in that courtroom everyday, I doubt she did it for free.

ITA. I was dumped numerous times in my life and I felt angry and horribly hurt. I even filled my ex husband's finest shoes with superglue when I caught him cheating. But I never once even thought about causing him bodily harm or worse. Getting hurt in relationships is part of life. We have all experienced hurt, it makes us stronger.

Apparently for some women hurt makes them stronger to kill.

Wasn't there a DT motion about a witness that Juan was gonna call this week? For some reason I think that witness was gonna rebuttal everything that the dt could offer. I think that is why they changed everything today. Jmo
