Lurker here! I have been reading this forum forever and wanted to address something that keeps running me around in circles. I hope it makes sense. I firmly believe JA is guilty. I look at Travis's picture and I get so mad and sad. (That's putting it mildly) I believe in the DP for killers such as these but I don't like the endless appeals process. With that said, since there was so much left out of the thousands of emails, texts, IM's, etc, how do we know for sure that some of what JA said about Travis is true? Everyone on this board is so absolutely sure about her lying and I do to; that is why I am so confused. How can she so emphatically state that the stuff is true without providing evidence? I am not one of those people that can watch JA in that courtroom and know that she is lying, seething, happy, sad. I am not made that way. How can you people read that about her? It is fascinating to read but I cannot see what you see.

So my question to anyone that wants to answer, how do you know? Give an example of something that has gone on that gives you that 100% feeling that she is lying. I have watched this trial for most of it, causing my mind to spin in every direction and that is why this post is so messed up. In one of her interviews, she says something about if you don't abuse me why should you be afraid....(paraphrasing), she says it with such conviction, how do we know that it is a lie what she has said about TA?

If you think I am approaching insanity, well, you are right. But I do wish someone could understand what I am asking and answer me.

I believe she can state things as emphatically true because she has convinced herself they are.

No, nothing about the Jury question today.
All the TH's, including BK, have stated that it is unusual in AZ for the Judge to not address the question in open court. Hope this helps

No--four-day break. If they don't reach a verdict today, then they would return on Tuesday.

Now we're seeing tweets that according to the Public Information Officer there may be deliberations on Friday. The key word being MAY.

wow...now, that's telling.

I couldn't look myself in the mirror if I had to be in the same room as the Alexander siblings, seeking justice for their slaughtered brother ~ and any living soul knew this was how I made my living. (brrrr, shiver...)

I guess some people can justify...just about anything.

IMO, JC got pretty defensive the other day when someone had tweeted or called in or whatever saying that JC was crying in the courtroom, when she was just sniffling and blowing her nose because of allergies.

I found it interesting how upset she got when speculation was applied to her.

We Salute you. We can only imagine how hard this is for you. I'm still hopeful for a true sentence of DEATH. It's what JA deserves.

Thanks for all you have done in this case, and to all who donated and helped the A's with their rooms and baskets and well....just going totally beyond the pale. Kudos, because you all really deserve it! But no one more than Juan Martinez deserves to hear this besides TA's family and friends. I know it's the only answer I want to hear: Death. And then the firm YES when asked is this your verdict. I need to hear the sentence of Death.

I will have to disagree with you. And heres why. I have a sister who has the exact look in her eyes that jodi does. I recoginize the tone in her voice to be exactly like jodis. When you have experienced the manipulation, the BS, the mind set, witnessing the enjoyment of trying to bring others down, creating situations in order to file law suits, renting a room from a NYC police officer and then calling IAD with false claims and having his gun taken away( this is according to her) trying to find a way to get my apt. and have me trown out. The list is endless. She could not get on bus without filing a false report against the driver. She would brag about the power of the pen and paper. Document BS. Says it holds up. I suspect that is what jodi is encouriging people to do. Its what she wishes she had done. When you personally experience people like this it does not take long to spot it in others. My mother died in Feb 2012. We could not bury her until Nov 2012. Take a guess why. I do not talk to my sister. I cut her out like a cancer years ago. I would see her at a wedding or other function. Not anymore. Noone talks to her now. Did I mention she NUTS?

It's very hard to explain if you haven't experienced it first hand. Both of them have been cut off by me and the rest of the family.

I'm a little confused about what you're looking for. She had already been convicted of premeditated, first-degree murder. No doubt about her guilt. The jury didn't buy her self-defense "defense", her claim that she was a battered woman, her claim of PTSD or that she was in a FOG and can't remember much about the murder, especially the stabbing and slashing of Travis's throat-the murder in general and the post-murder cover-up and lying to the police. She lied about the gas cans, dying her hair on June 3, Travis being a pedophile, the theft of the .25 caliber gun from her grandparents' home, the list goes on and on and on. The same jury also found her guilty of murdering Travis in an especially cruel manner. Now they are deciding whether to sentence her to death or life in prison.

Oh wow..I am so sorry for what you had to deal with. Especially about your mom's burial. I can't even imagine. I think you did the right thing to completely cut her off otherwise you would be miserable for the rest of your life.

I have been thinking that one of the reasons JSS has been SO careful during the whole trial has to do not only with appeals, but BECAUSE SHE KNOWS JODI's MANIPULATIVE WAYS. I really think JSS has her pegged, and knows she will stop at nothing to drag everyone involved in this case down if it doesn't go her way. So she has to be EXTRA EXTRA careful.

:truce: I'm changing the Juanettes Kickline from DP to JU => Jury Unanimity. I will be fine with whatever this jury decides, as long as they are unanimous! I can't imagine the Alexander family having to endure another several weeks of trial with a new penalty phase jury.
