Hoping Peru is less corrupt than Aruba appeared to be.

imo the tweets seem authentic b/c JVDS is a smug cocky *advertiser censored*, and that behavior wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Please don't throw anything at me, but I don't think he did this. Just too messy for him.He covered himself too well with Natalie to screw up like this. imo moo etc

Nah he had professional help to get rid of Natalie, I believe her death was messy too, but that one phone call to help get rid of her saved him. I think Joran did not think anyone would give a rat about some Peruvian girl and since daddy is dead, he had no one to call to clean it up this time.

He did do this.

HLN Breaking News:

Natalie's father: "This time he won't be able to walk away."

I would be shocked if he actually wrote that 2 hours ago. My guess is that either this is a fake Twitter or, if it is his, it was hacked. If you look at the previous posts, they are from July 2009.

That last tweet was not written by himself, but by one of his followers (friend?)

Different circumstances. This is one of their own that was killed. No influence from his father this time around. This girl's father is supposed to be a famous race car driver.

It is sad that this young girl had to die at the hands of this monster. He should have been stopped years ago. I hope he's caught soon and put in the worst jail Peru has to offer.

He better pray the wrong people don't get to him before interpol, or I suspect he will meet a tortuous end. To be truthful, although I understand innocent until proven guilty, and all that blather, this creep justifies all the expletives I can conjur up, even if by some miracle he is totally innocent (not). This arrogant liar, conniver, user, manipulator will meet his destiny, and it won't be good, nor soon enough!

This time they have him on videotape leaving the casino, he is seen at least once at the hotel with the girl, perhaps more. The room appears to have been a bloodly mess, with a struggle and brutal murder. My guess is that they will have his dna in all the right places this time around.

Poor girl never stood a chance.

Trapped by a snail-paced legal system, most foreigners – and Peruvians – are locked up for years awaiting trial, facing drug trafficking sentences that range anywhere between five and 15 years. Exposed to corruption, drugs, prostitution, overcrowding and sometimes rat-infested cells, most smugglers say they have “made the mistake of a lifetime.”

just a peek at the peruvian system.

"Aruban Prosecutor Peter Blanken said that an Interpol international arrest warrant has been issued for van der Sloot...According to Blanken, he is examining the new details but does not expect it to affect the Holloway case or provide new evidence. He says that they will be contacting the Peruvian authorities later today to see if they can offer assistance."

Right. Because they did such a stellar job after this kid's OTHER (probable) murder.

Enters at 5am and killed at 8am. The casino connection as well. All too similar to what happened to Natalee. A sexual predator for sure.

How do you know Natalie wasn't the first kill that sparked this predator instinct? He had to start somewhere.

Every morning Sarah Jackson wakes up praying she will find herself back in the pretty bedroom of her home in Milton Keynes.

But when she opens her eyes, she is still in the narrow bunk bed of the cramped 4ft by 4ft cell in Peru, where she has spent the last 20 months.

And the chances are she will remain in the overcrowded, rat-infested Santa Monica Women's Prison for another 10 years, after she was caught trying to smuggle over half a million pounds worth of cocaine into Britain.

There are parts of that region where I would not want to be wanted and sought for murder. Mr. Joran is way over his head this time. Whatever he got himself involved into will be his undoing. Interpol had better find him first is right.

He can run, but he cannot hide, figures it was a matter of time before another was found dead or gone missing and he the suspect, hope they catch up soon and lock him away forever, no woman is safe around him!! JMO

Wow...I wouldnt accept a free trip to Aruba with the promise of a truck load of spending money. That is one place Im never going to support with my tourism. It has been on my black list for sometime, now but this just solidifies it for me. Corrupt.

I hope Peruvian Authorities kindly decline Aruba's offer of assistance. MOO
