Enrique Garcia called him to see why he wasn't at the party ((called hotel))
but I seem to recall SF's brother saying another good friend was at the casino too making enquiries ((would have to go back in the early media file to find that) -- from what I recall

I hate to state the obvious but a couple of things that really anger me about this Joran van der Sloot situation.
It didn't have to be this way. Stephany didn't have to die.
Assuming Joran van der Sloot was responsible for the death of Natalee Hollway, if he had just come clean and admitted it was an accident or a mistake he would be doing time in Aruba working on getting his life back together one day.
And Stephany wouldn't be dead.
If his Father didn't cover for him, lie for him, instruct him to lie and if he had simply instructed Joran to come clean.
Stephany wouldn't be dead.
If the Aruban authorities and or government had actually successfully investigated and prosecuted this crime as opposed to covering it up.
Stephany wouldn't be dead.
I can't believe the Arubian authorities want to speak with Joran about the Natalee Holloway case now.
What were they doing for the past 5 years?
Why do they think now it's different?
What makes them think they get a do-over now?
Stephany is dead because of their inability to investigate a crime committed in their nation...
and they want to talk with him again now?
Isn't it a little late?

I thought the guy (Garcia?) who LE had interviewed said he had someone from the casino call the hotel---no answer so he went over there, by that time, her body had just been found. My understanding...only.
Does Garcia work at AC Casino? (Can't recall - seems like ages ago. LOL)
If Garcia does not work at AC Casino, then it was not him since JeanC said she has confirmed that it was an individual who worked at the casino.

There are reports stating that a translator from the Dutch embassy was with VDS at his confession. He confessed in Dutch and it was translated into Spanish.
As I mentioned earlier, I'm sure this same translator was available to translate the confession written in Spanish for VDS before he signed it.

ETA: The media pronounced it like Blades (razor blades) but it's pronounced like Blah-dez.

Getting confused now. LOL Garcia was JVS's buddy. Blades is the singer. It was the owner of the casino (a woman) that called the Hotel, IIRC.
