I think he got her to come to the room on the guise that he would pay her back the money she lent him......once inside the room.....he may have put a move on her and she told him.....Hey, I'm gay and not interested in you........(there's that magic word that would set him off.....NO ).......he was infuriated with her rejection and he bashed her in the face....then the head to the wall as his hands went to her throat......head hits the wall with such force it fractures the skull......beats her unmercifully and finally takes his shirt and smothers until all the air in her body is expelled.

He takes a shower to make sure there's no blood on him at all....changes clothes and goes out for coffee.
He returns pretending he can't enter room......gets the clerk to open the door for him,
he enters.....then he leaves with backpack and bag. He tells the clerk , don't disturb my girl.

He now has time to put as many hours between him and her as possible......

Lord this is driving me crazy......I'm going for a drink now.

If JVS is granted "special attention" and he is given
"bail" while they work on this case, where will he live
in Peru?I am sure they will take his passport so that
he can't leave the country, what will he do? Where will
he live, what monies would he have?

That's if they end up giving him "special treatment" while this
case is going on.:waitasec:

Mrs. G, understand what your saying, but they are saying her pants didn't have any blood on them. How can that be? Not being argumentative here, just debating and trying to find answers.....:innocent:

The question was: why didn't her pants have any blood on them. I was thinking because he tore the pants off, she fights back, he hits her in face causing the injury she bleeds after the pants are off.

Anyway just speculatin' of course.

Under no circumstance am I seeing him being out on bail (if they even have that option in Peru on murder charges). He is a foreign national and has already fled the country. MOO

Motive was definitely robbery....Money not Jewelry.....because he would have to pawn that for more money...but he knew she had her winnings with her.

Did he honestly think that once he got her in that room....and tried to take her money she would just give it to him?????
Absolutely not, this was so planned in my mind, he knew exactly what would happen to her once she said NO......you can't have my money.
He then may have tried to make it look like a rape took place......by the 2 robbers who he said was in his room.......one on the bed with a gun.

I'm not saying they will release him. I dont think they will, but it might earn him a stint in protective custody to where he doesn't get killed and gets 3 meals that aren't poisoned. For Joran anything is better that what he is facing. DONT GET ME WRONG on this IMO he is flat out is guilty. Just trying to anticipate where this might go.

I'm thinking she was already on the floor. I'm also wondering, wouldn't some of the spatter occur when her neck was snapped? The white shirt seems to have a lot of blood on it, and he supposedly used it to asphyxiate her, so that could explain so little blood on her t-shirt. MOO

I am thinking that when he broke her nose, she could not breath
and was breathing thru her mouth,I think he then put the
shirt in her mouth to stop the noises, she must have been making
trying to breath, and it stopped some of the blood.

This was a brutal killing, she suffered :banghead:

Let his defense lawyer take him to his home......and keep him there until his trial comes up.....you'll see how fast the atty. will bring him back to CC and into his old cellblock...

The lawyers house would probably be torched to cinders.

LOL

Well my quotes are getting boggled. Long day, let all family members that are facing horrible tragedy of their missing loved ones find some peace tonight.

ABC didn't do the interview, they bought the interview; there is a difference.

I am not misleading anyone when I wrote AVS wasn't making money; the reporter stated this in the article. :banghead:

Until I know otherwise that she is not making any additional money, then I will go with what the reporter indicated in the article.

Van Den Heuvel sold the interview to ABC. It is different if ABC did the interview first hand and paid for video/photos through ABC licensing agreements.

The Dutch TV company that interviewed Anita van der Sloot twice -- in Dutch and then in English -- late last week assured the networks that the money was not going either to the mother or the 22-year-old accused killer.

But it appears that a portion of the $100,000 fee will go to pay Joran's lawyers in Peru, where he is charged with murdering a young woman, Stephany Flores. He is also the main suspect in the disappearance five years ago of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

I understand what you are saying.

I cannot believe, however, that the Dutch TV Company would conduct an interview with AVDS for free and put up $100k for joran's defense out of their own pocket and goodness of their heart. They knew that their exclusive would bring in a tidy sum from another network. In fact, the total sum is unknown.

I believe that this was an arrangement between AVDS and the TV Company just like AVDS arranged for the reporter to visit joran in prison.

So technically, no, AVDS was not "making" any money.

No problem and I know you must be talking about your son being Joran's age, right? :)

You must be a mind reader, I was wondering about the age of MG last night too. I've looked on the WWW and can't find anything. He looks to be in this mid 50's or a little older...but who knows these days.

And what if AVS has nothing to tell LE?

no offense Patty...but surely you know, as well as everyone here , that often the most smallest bit of info, is often the best...It tends to crack the case wide open... If I thought for one sec. that I may have anything to offer the LE to break a case.. I would do it...

I hope she visits him also. I was just making the point she says she won't and I say she will. I have no problem with his mother. Did I give the impression that I do?
IMO

John van den Heuvel said the only time Joran showed any emotion is when he mentioned his mother.
I also understand that her other two sons do not want her to keep contact with Joran but to write him off.
IMO Anita might be able to extract from Joran where Natalee's body is and what really happened five years ago. With the promise that she will visit him in Peru from time to time. She certainly must have doubt by now in his innocence. May be her husband was not involved in the clean up and that also would clear his name.
Yes, I dream a lot. But darn, why can those reporters not ask her those type of questions.

ITA, there is no chance in HELL that this guy sees the outside of a prison ever again IMO. No judge / court on earth would risk it. They'll find things to keep him stitched up forever if this one isn't enough to keep him in Peru for life. (He may of course commit more crimes 'on the inside' due to his propensity to violence which could keep him inside, I can totally see that happening.)

Here in Australia we have an option called imprisonment 'at her Magesty's pleasure' which basically means that you're imprisoned until further notice, and we'll decide when you get out, usually used for vicious criminals who the courts believe to be at a risk of re-offending for a crime which doesn't attract a life sentence, or for murderers who win a successful insanity plea.

Does the US have anything similar....assuming he ends up over there after his sentence in Peru is served for the embezzlement?

Then why only a little drop of blood on the tee. She was bleeding profusely from her nose and head? Splatter everywhere?

Believe Dr. Perper suggested that the blood was from the degree of force used to break her neck and that his extreme force resulted in blood "flying" all around the room.

We've seen photo of front of neck - The back of his shirt, which she was wearing over black t-shirt, was soaked. If he had on his white shirt during the attack, why is soaked only on back? We know now that he didn't use it for clean-up. Don't think he had on any shirt when he attacked her (but, I believe was sexually motivated.).

*If* he should ever make it to the US regarding the extortion charges, he would be in a Federal prison. I don't remember off hand what the potential sentence would be, as it would also depend on specifically what he was charged with. MOO

I think he said he tried to put the shirt on SF after she was dead... He said in his confession that he smothered her with it...I :waitasec:think anyway..

Things AVS stated in the media:

AVS apologized to the family of the woman allegedly killed by her son.

AVS says she's glad her son is in prison.

AVS says: I hope that he gets a chance to talk with the parents of Stephany Flores, and that he can tell them what happened.

I apologize for them ... that he's my son. He's not a monster. He can be very gentle, but it could be that he has bipolar personality. I hope he gets the help," she said.

Note: Poor English used when AVS stated: "I apologize for them, that he's my son" IMO she meant "I apologize to them that he's my son."

He didn't want to listen to his parents.

He didn't listen to me, this last time.

I tried to do my best. I don't think I could have done more.

He's considered an adult right now. He has to do whatever he needs to do, and that is tell the truth (about) what happened.

AVS has found it hard to proclaim her son's innocence, as she has in the Holloway case.

AVS stated: "I think a part of me still wants to believe that it's all a very bad movie. But I thought immediately of the parents of the girl," she said, referring to Flores.

IIRC Ricardo Flores did talk to Joran shortly after he was charged in Peru.
