I don't think so Adalena. Broken hyoid is indicative of strangulation, but I don't think the ME would report it as a broken neck. That's a huge stretch. ME's are usually fluent in Latin and English, based on my medical background.

I just keep wondering if he stomped on her neck. I find it hard to believe that a tennis racket could cause that kind of damage. I can see him stomping on her to finish he off in all is rejected rage. Makes me sick to think about.

Thank you. It was a stretch on my part. The whole thing makes me sick too. My heart aches for the families of Natalee & Stephany. Can't imagine the grief. I'm so glad they have him in custody. When I heard of him wanted on this homicide in a foreign country I was reminded of Beth Holloway so long ago begging he not be free to harm another. Don't remember her exact words but she turned out to be right in my opinion. The injustice of someone daring to take another person's life & they were so young. In both cases they were the only daughters. Untold losses.

so BAD he HAD to murder Stephany????

Stephany's brother said one of her eyes was gone or nearly gone. I'll never forget the sound of his voice choking.

But....the report JC showed on NG tonight stated she was having her period and a pad was present under her panties....ok, this is gross I guess but if that was true and she was not carrying a purse did she have extra with her possibly in her vehicle? Can't imagine not having a change with her. Just thinking out loud here.

Even more reason why she might want to jump into the shower after he left. She may have used tissue paper on top of it.

Just want to point out that in many countries a purse is what you carry money/CC's/ID in...not like a clutch, or over the shoulder bag that we carry around make-up and all sorts of junk in.

According to Peru.com, the Police Division of High Tech Crime has confiscated the laptop and is examining it for evidence. They will make a report when finished.

I don't think it's a matter of the hotel knowing whether or not you are gay, it's a matter of gay people feeling comfortable there.

I'm not so sure that the hostel was welcoming just gay people. I'm thinking prostitution, swingers, S & M er's, etc. That was my point. In other words, no sexual activitiy monitored at this relatively low rate hostel. And that could also be why they had video monitors everywhere. LOL

Sorry we were the motel business here in Florida for 35 years. Lots of overnighters. LOL

I have.....a few times actually.Sometimes to do drugs, sometimes to just hang out somewhere when I didn't want to go home to my family.

If it is true he confessed and I think it is, my prayer tonight is with the victim's family...they now have it from his own mouth and I hope they can handle this and go on.....it would be hard not to want to get their hands on him themselves.

If the confession is real, and I hope and pray it is, they probably have already looked at the laptop and determined it was used at a time where video shows Joran elsewhere. So they probably knew that it had to be Stephany who accessed it. Depending on what the computer accessed info was--they may very well have been able to figure out what may have happened.
