This doesn't make sense to me. If she got suspicious and leery of him, why wouldn't she just have left at that point?

Nope... I think she was dead by that time and the the trip for TWO coffees was to stage an alibi.

According to the one hotel employee, they were arguing shortly after they arrived. It happened way earlier than he is saying and I always believed he was trying to extort her in someway that night. She was not a happy camper....She had the look of someone who was somewhere because she had to be, not because she wanted to...whether for money or sex. JMO
Amazing I go away for 24 hrs and all xxxx breaks loose. Glad the world is a safer place today.

I wonder if 'the sloot' will be as dramatic in this reenactment as he was in describing Natalee's death to the de Vries guy. the Aruban reporter.

He is one sick puppy, IMO.

Probably more so. He will enjoy it very much. Very, very sick person.

IMO, there is no chance of Joran going back to Aruba for the crime committed in Peru. He will do the time right where he is.

I think that his time in jail will give the Aruban police a chance to further their investigation and hopefully his laptop has a wealth of evidence about Holloway.

When his time is finished in Peru he could be sent to Aruba or the U.S. on an international warrant, IIRC.

BTW, it was mentioned above the Joran threw a bum off a bridge when he was younger. Why did his parents not get him help? Why did they foster this behavior in him? IMO, the blood of this girl is not only on Joran's hands but his families hands for not getting him the help he needed.

Robberies often escalate into murder. Happens all the time.

If she resisted and perhaps called him an insulting whatever, that would have been enough, IMO, to infuriate Joran van der Sloot....being the Phyco that he is.....don't you think?

He'd already been ID'd in the casino by the musician who recognized him and even warned someone of his reputation so he wasn't anonymous in Peru

Plus the fact of the mixture of alcohol with his volatile, rageous personality. Always a bad mixture.

21Merc7, The way he callously descibed Natalee's death will always haunt me. I am glad that his finally behind bars.....and so sorry that another beautiful young woman died by this insane young man.

I have a question for you guys. Is there any way to find out someone's IP address by their email address? If anyone knows the answer to this question, you sleuthers would lol.

Try this:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/trace-email

If that doesn't work, there are loads of sites the discuss it.

[ame="http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=ip+address+by+email&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8"]ip address by email - Google Search[/ame]

I know wm. He speaks as if he were just talking about going to the store and purchasing an ice cream cone. Very unbalanced. So sad.

RE: The video of JVDS' final departure from Rm 309 is indicative of a total psychopathic behavior and also the video of his personal items being searched upon capture - in neither of these two videos did he appear to be nervous.
(Reminds me of ScottP during LaciP, the good-looking attorney serial killer that spanned across the U.S. - Ted Bundy)
I am amazed at how quickly he was able to come up with a departure plan, leaving Lima. This makes me wonder if this was actually a pre-meditated murder???
We cannot understand the mindset of this type of person, and on the surface to those of us without training, education, and knowledge of personal traits - their appearance and physical actions "after the crime" lead us to believe they are totally innocent. It is only with the knowledge of what they are truly capable of doing, that we are able to understand how the mind of such an evil person operates. JMHO

Can someone translate this and give us the short version? I've read that it says Joran punched her in the face ten times.

I know this wasn't the part you were asking about, and I'll get to that, but I thought this was interesting:

" Luego la joven confirmó sus sospechas en los buscadores de Internet, donde hay abundante información del crimen de Natalee Holloway (17) y la extorsión a sus padres, en Aruba, hechos de los que él es el principal sospechoso."

It's basically talking about then the girl (SF) confirmed on the internet there was abundant information about the crime against Natalee Holloway AND the extortion of her parents, which happened in Aruba (I'm presuming they're more meaning the crime, though Joran was in Aruba during the extortion thing) and of which he is the principal suspect.

IMO, Joran will not survive 5 years in the Peruvina prison and will never see the white sandy beaches of Aruba ever again.

I don't know. Natalee's death became a joke to him. He knew his dad and ultimately his Country was behind him. In Peru, he is alone.

Post #165, they found coffee in her system that confirmed the account that she was still alive when he went to get the coffee according to this news report.

I think post #165 just says that coffee was found in the room not her system. I don't think autopsy results have been released yet unless I missed something.

I think hotel staff testimony will help determine the time of the argument, as one of them heard it. This also suggests to me that it was in the morning when cleaning staff would be "afoot."

I agree. I think his temper will get him killed. (Or some jail justice because of who Stephany is.) JMO, as usual.

Per RF on Today show, "We have his computer ... I think there have been many more" (murders) - "wants to speak with Dave" (Holloway)
Per DaveH (same show) - "knew nothing about the extortion plot (when told by the FBI) ... only Beth" - "I was totally unaware" - "Hopefully, this is the end of the road" (... for Joran)

Re: SF murder, I suspect she found some sort of diary or log of his personal notes regarding the X plot and confronted him (there may have also been other murderous things she found also per her father's comment above)- JMO. Per what I have learned, JVDS had been extorting money from SF the whole week prior to her death,.

Good Morning Websleuths,

Gosh, I woke up this morning to the news of Joran's confession!! I'm trying to catch up and drink my coffee... The bolded part is news to me - is this something I missed? Extorting money from her for the entire week prior?

Thanks!

She was killed by reviewing your laptop
By J. Yucra

It is professional poker player and believed to have an ace up his sleeve, but his alibi collapsed like a house of cards. The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot (23) had no other choice but to confess to the murder of the young Stephany Flores Ramirez (21), whom he met at a casino in Miraflores. "Yes, I killed her. I did, I accept," he said with a breathtaking cold, with no sign of repentance.
According to police sources, the murderer, during interrogation by more than ten hours, attributed the crime to the anger that caused him to find the girl reviewing the files on your laptop.

It is presumed that she opened her e-mails that the subject had known about his criminal acts. Then the girl confirmed the suspicion in the Internet search engines, where there is abundant information of the crime of Natalee Holloway (17) and the extortion of their parents, in Aruba, facts of which he is the prime suspect.

Van der Sloot had confessed his crime minutes after 9 pm last Sunday. After a deep breath and fell silent for long seconds.

Would have revealed that the crime occurred after 8:20 am on Sunday 30 May at the hotel 'Tac' of Miraflores, where they had taken after meeting at the casino 'Atlantic'. Joran had gone to buy bread and coffee for breakfast. She took advantage of his absence to check your laptop and discovered he was a murderer and extortionist.

Punching and racket
"He came back and was enraged. The two began to argue violently. The man shot to death," a police source told.

This version is confirmed by the coffee residue found on the floor and the victim had bruises on various parts of the body.

Also, the summary of autopsy determined that she showed signs of ten punches in the face that broke his nose and mouth, causing a time-to-eye inflammation.

In addition, five blows to the head and neck with a racket head trauma caused her death necessary. She also had bruises on the hands and feet, as they tried to defend himself, but was little he could do to a man over 90 meters tall.

Then, after committing the murder, the stranger kept his belongings in two suitcases and valuables from the victim, as well as jewelry and money, to leave the accommodation.

On the other hand, it was learned that yesterday three Forensic psychologists were gathered for at least five hours with foreign countries.

His public defender, Carla Odría, waived the defense when he heard the confession.

Wow! I am just now seeing this news! I have to say that I am very surprised that Joran has admitted to anything whatsoever.

Now is the time for the FBI to place a retainer on Joran just in case he does make it out of the Peruvian prison alive. I feel the Peruvian authorities would honor a retainer from another country. The FBI needs to do this as insurance, IMO. Of course Joran will most likely not live out his time in the prison, but I would like to know that he is aware of a retainer from the United States.

As surely as Joran has given the confession, he can retract it. We have known of such cases. Joran may say he confessed under duress. I cannot wait to hear what his lawyer (whomever that may turn out to be) says about this confession.

I have to say that I am impressed with the Peruvian authorities as well as the authorities in Chile.

JMO

I heard via the reports last night through Jane, that it was two cans of soda found in the room. I haven't heard coffee was found in the room yet and still waiting of the video where he left to get the coffee.
