IMO, Pat Brown does not have enough information to make that kind of statement. It just amazes me how all of these talking heads are just making stuff up.

I've been watching that casino video... they seem to be very comfortable with each other. I'm thinking the story that they had known each other for a few days prior has merit.

From all indications it looks as if Joran was out of money and desperate. Maybe Joran did not initially intend to rob her. He wanted to play in the larger tournament and if he robbed her he would have had to leave Lima immediately afterward. He might have been making friends with her, and being nice to her (getting her breafast and perhaps sharing his drugs with her) with the intention of borrowing money from her. When she refused to lend him money he killed her in a rage.

I'm just a little shocked, it looks to me like she was the aggressor and wanted something from him. (drugs perhaps?) I was expecting it to be the other way around. She clearly wasn't drugged, shy or bamboozed in any way to go with him....she seems to be leading him out and in a hurry.

I didn't think she was the aggressor from that video, jmo. We don't know what the conversation was between them. Just because someone is nice to someone, doesn't make him or her an aggressor. Joran is a psycopath who manipulates people.

Interesting! When X said she wouldn't pay him the money, he was cold to her. But kept on begging and stating I can double it when I am back in Aruba. Gambling addict, yikes!! <not to mention drug addict too>

By the way,

Marijuana stays in your system for around 30 days. Just because he tested positive does not mean that he actually used it during the time in question here. It could have been from a month before.

Cocaine stays in your system around 5 days.

With the sticky residue from pot, there could be remnants of it anywhere in that room....or on SFR.

Wonder if JVDS knew enough about peruvian law to shave his head- not to change his appearance, but so that hair testing would not be as accurate.
IOW, if his hair was longer, the test could show how long he had been using it, but he wants them to believe he was high that ONE night....and 'the drugs made him do it'.

My husband just told me that someone can blow through US$10,000. easily in four hours gambling in a casino.

I asked him to look at the video of the casino and he said that SF just doled out seven (700) somethings (sols?) that she took out of her little white coin purse and the dealer handed her chips in return. He thinks they were playing blackjack but wasn't positive. He had no patience to study the video to help me decipher anything else about the video.

I know zip about gambling.

Apparently the drug issue will bring a lighter sentence. Even after JVDS gets sentenced however, he won't last a year there. I seriously doubt he will be able to hack prison life. But like all thugs, he may fit right in!

I find this article interesting. The story of the two men in room was apparently initially told to the Chilean LE. Also JVDS had no clue that there were video cameras documenting his arrival and departure in the hotel. I have a feeling other versions will follow after those two to date so far. All lies ofcourse.

just read the article about his initial details of the killing. Blaming it on the police, a man with a gun, and a man with a knife. I'm gobsmacked.

The most incredible part of your story has to do with what happened in his hotel room, where he was found dead Flores.

As narrated as they came to his room found a man in bed, who had a pistol in his belt, and another man emerged from the bathroom with a knife. He added that one of them hit the girl in the face.

According to the Dutchman would have said, their alleged attackers were the same police who asked him for money on the road.

I guess this is before he knew a camera was on him most of the night, eh?

I love the term "gobsmacked"! Great word for how myself, and maybe many others, felt when they turned the tv on and heard JVDS was wanted for a murder in Lima, Peru. The day this story broke I did not check my computer until late in the day, after I heard it on the tv. Gobsmacked - Yep - that is exactly what I was! Thanks for the new word!

A little "pee-pee" test will give them plenty of results as well as a blood test. The only problem is, if you smoke, snort, shoot or whatever, it is in your system for a while and the hair folicle test is the "grand prize" test result.
