I think the only truthful statement made by Joran in his confession is that he killed Stephany after she tried to leave/escape. He was in a rage that his meal-ticket was walking out the door, jmho.

I agree with you.....The Peru authorities have already witnessed for themselves how he can...convincing lie.....They have already aquainted themselves with his HISTORY of lies ..starting from Aruba...and now in THEIR country..killing THEIR young women...BEATING THEM and crushing their necks.to death..and even more lying......He is going down..and fast...all in my own opinion

Just JMO, but I think Joran changed his hair color to change his appearance, not to obscure drug use. There is still enough hair to pluck and test for drugs, IMO.

For approximately 6 years, casino employees have had the hair strand test done for employment. It does not matter if the hair is dyed and peroxide is in the dye. My sister was a pit boss at a major casino and that casino does the hair strand drug test. She has dyed her hair forever, LOL, and I have teased her about it.

OTOH, I have worked at a jail/detention center and had to be certified to drug test employees. That was done with urine drug test kits, tho. They are reliable as well. If Joran wanted to bring his drug use into the murder, then that give the Peruvian LE leeway to do a drug test, IMO.

Just as a side note, I think the Peruvian LE has done a great job. BUT, there needs to be much more value placed on a human life in that country. I wish Peru had at least LWOP.

JMO, MOO, and IMHO

Ditto for Chilean LE for apprehending/expelling him so fast .

Thank you.

..."that the supporting affidavit remain under seal at this time due, in part, to the sensitive nature of certain information contained in that document."

Hmmm...

I've also been curious from the beginning about this being an amended complaint. I sure would like to see the original to see what was amended.

It says so within the document... the original Complaint was for only one count, and the amended Complaint was for two counts. Apparently, something must have occurred to make it possible to add the second count where they didn't feel that they could at the time of filing the original Complaint. Happens all the time even in civil Complaints. New information that enables amending the original Complaint to add that new information can be so common that there can be amendments to the amendment of the amended Complaint. LOL!

The "sensative nature" bit could be anything from sensative to the Holloway family or to the case in Peru or even the case in Aruba or could be because it would reveal tactics the FBI uses that they wouldn't want the public to know about because if they did those tactics would no longer be useful or perhaps the identities of undercover agents they wouldn't want blown or they couldn't use them again. Could be anything really but it's probably something along those lines or a combination of them or something mysterious we couldn't possibly fathom (ok, I doubt that last part, but it does make it seem more exciting). Then again, who knows... fun to speculate a bit on what mysterious unfathomable thing it could be.

:woohoo: <---- I have absolutely no reason for putting this here other than the fact that it cracks me up.

One NEVER knows with Joran.

But it can happen even with his high propensity for lying. I have known more than a few people robbed while traveling in various parts of the world.

But I am fairly certain the vast majority of it was gambled away and used for drugs. He certainly was not staying in nice hotels.

..

Thought I read somewhere that his cc's were left in a hotel in Chile?

For what it's worth, I'm clearly seeing Stephany take money out of a small purse when she sits down at the table.

Me too. (many thanks to the member who posted it).

It's really interesting to see this video, where it looks like SFR is calling the shots, with JVDS meekly following- the exact opposite of the hotel vids.

Maybe it's because she was in her comfort zone at the casino, but there is a marked difference in her demeaner between the two vids. (although she still looks a little unsteady on her feet at the casino).

They sat in the jeep for a while between leaving the casino and arriving at the TAC right? IMO, they either smoked pot during that time, or took the Rohypnol then. (keep in mind she may have willingly taken the Rohypnol- since the wrappers were allegedly found in the jeep, not the room)

Please don't throw any stones or rotten tomatos my way, because I don't want to sound like I'm being critical of SFR in any way..... I did waaaay more careless things at that age!
But as an ex-druggie, and in my own experience it is very common to use a 'downer' after being on coke/amphetamines and being out all night, so you can get some rest before heading back out.
ALL JMO

two lies and counting ... :banghead:

Why didn't he claim that the police who he found in his bed - the ones that held him and Stephany captive in a white car - took his money and his credit cards.:waitasec:
He ran for his life with only the clean polo shirt on his back and his laptop.

bolded by me....He also, showered, shaved.and had breakfast...in between..running for his life..

What is SF handing JVDS in this video at :37 seconds?

Looks like a typical drug transaction to me.
Theory: He wanted some- she knew who to get it from, since she's local. She returns with the baggie, passing it to him in a handshake. She's waiting for him to leave the table to get her 'cut' for getting it for him.
It's 'drug etiquette' to share with the person who got it for you.
I've done this so many times in clubs and casinos. (many years ago)

good god...and then they went back to his hotel to do some...she thought.

thats why she went

I bet the reenactment was called off yesterday and today because Joran realized that the snooping in my laptop story "ain't gonna fly". He and his attorney are now thinking up another story, but having a difficult time of it. Maybe he could say that he fell asleep and when he woke up he discovered that Stephany had peroxided his hair bright orange and that is what sent him into a murderous rage.

IMO it won't matter What story they come up with..The girl is dead..and he not only confessed to killing her...but the survellience has ONLY him leaving..I am sure that the forencis in the room, on her body, her blood, the violence upon her..will prove to the authorities...there was only him...him enraged, beating her to death.....But I agree with you...they have to come up with SOMETHING...Maybe he could say there was a BIG fly in the room and it landed on her and he kept swatting it off her..until he killed IT and HER...something along those lines...that makes as much sense as that...all in my own opinion...

I'll bet he wishes he had invited Deepak and Satish along on this gambling junket.

Plus I guess the two coffees were also for those invisible armed ""to the teeth" hotel room invaders.

that got my attention, that they called off the reenactment . The way they portrayed it on the NG show, the govt. called it off, and the TH's came up with some lame excuses, one of which was, the lawyer did it.

but the official announcement (acc. to the NG show) was that the govt. cnx it, saying "they didn't need to do it."

which got me thinking, who and why?

anybody else? obviously the lawyer did it,

but what if he didn't?

could the govt. have clear evidence he is lying in his "confession" and are content to have him present his obviously false story to the judges, as is.

then attack it in court with the facts? case closed.

Flores Stephany friend: "She was very confident and playing poker was leaving"

I think this is a new article and the translation is really bad but from what I can understand, they're interviewing one of SF's friends. He's saying she was a great poker player then seems to imply that she knew about Joran but didn't believe the stories about him?! Not sure....again, translation is really bad.

ETA: Wait, just re-read the last paragraph and I think it just means that she was naive, wasn't aware of evil in the world and was open to dealing with foreigners. Sorry for the bad interpretation!

I have a feeling we'll learn he has been formally charged when the presser takes place in the morning. It will be interesting to see if they charge him with robbery too.

maybe post in our translation thread so our WS translaters can take a crack at it?

I wonder if he made an amended confession. This time telling the truth with the crime scene and forensics backing it up.
