That is what I have read in several articles as well. Cancelled because the confession is so thorough and convincing (matching the wounds inflicted on her body).
I think it comes down to this, he wasn't planning to kill her when they went in the room, something that we will never know for sure set him off, and he did beat her to death in a fit of rage.
They can go to the room and he can start his story from I walked in the door, it is a tiny room, only so many places the struggle started, he can be honest about the physical part and be lying about what set the events in motion. There is no way to prove what set them in motion.
That being high is a benefit to the accused is baffling to me, that responding to a *perceived* slight by the victim reduces the sentence to a possible five years is baffling to me.
Hopefully his reputation and world spotlight will lead the judge to sentence him to the longer sentence.
i agree with you on this...we still dont know WHY... and if jvds history proves accurate...we will prolly never know either....
