You got one chance buddy. You are going down for 25 years no chance of parole. You either talk now, or that's it. I can bring it down to Man 1.. 15 years, talk to your lawyer you got 15 minutes to decide. Tell us what you know, now, if not, no deal.

Yikes, I watch way to much law and order.

LOL!! You and me both. If there are multiple remains found on the farm I think the threat might be talk or we'll ask for Dangerous Offender status and life will mean life.

Perhaps neither DM or MS spilled the beans but rather it was discovered through forensics that some of what you recovered earlier is that of a female, and therefore not related to the murder of TB. JMO.
I tend to think you're right, and it goes back to the conflicting statements about "other remains" found on the farm week before last. That idea didn't just materialize out of thin air. In the e-mail, Kavanagh says there "no confirmation", but in another report he flat out denies it. I don't know what happened, but seems there was a disconnect somewhere between TPS and HPD. Then the same day, the 2nd suspect was named, and attention quickly shifted. The "other remains" were forgotten.

Forensic investigators are now working to determine whether the other remains are human or animal.

In an email to the National Post, Hamilton police said they could not confirm the report.
“Please be advised that information [second remains] did not come from [lead investigator] Det-Sgt Matt Kavanagh. The investigation continues and at this point there is no confirmation that other remains have been located,” Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said.

On Tuesday, Hamilton police Sgt. Matt Kavanagh said, "We're dealing with one set of human remains.

Wish we had a fly on the wall out there. I'm so curious as to what they are looking for!!!
We had a tweeter on the wall for awhile. :) Captured lots of great pics.

Question (as I am not familiar with the laws in Ontario) if DM was charged with multiple murders would he have to serve each sentence consecutively i.e.: 25 x 3 = 75 years or is he able to serve the sentences concurrently... or is it up to the judge? If he fears serving the sentences consecutively it would be a HUGE bargaining chip to get him to talk in return for concurrent sentencing.

I could be way off base but in my opinion I don't think he had anything to do with Laura... Unless she over dosed around him and he freaked out

Can I respectfully ask you to expand on why you believe this?

IMO I might suspect the did only a surface search and now considering he had a backhoe (was it a backhoe?) there, they want to look beneath the surface. Maybe they found some DNA on the backhoe?

Do we know the backhoe was his? I assumed LE had brought it in to assist them in digging....

AH, but semantics...WE are dealing with 1 set of remains. (Perhaps Toronto dealing with the other...would still be true while misleading the media to prevent their hand being tipped.

Concurrent in Canada

There was a track loader taken by police. More of a scooping loading type machine than a hole digging machine...especially in THAT ROCKY ground. I've worked in it digging holes and NEVER with a track loader.

taken in as evidence? do you have a link. Or do you mean that LE brought it in to use in the investigation?

Precisely. I've only read the statement, and I don't know if there is a video of the interview to hear the inflection. Without it, the words are ambiguous.

(Not so) patiently awaiting 6:00 pm and Nick Dixon's interview on CHCH with LE.....

Good question.I wish I could answer it!! I would hope for multiple murders life would mean natural life no matter how it's tried. It's so weird coming from the Jodi A threads where there's a good chance she'll get the DP for one murder to this one where we're wondering if the convicted will even serve the full 25.

The search is over for tonight due to severe t-storms.
