Thanks, giagreen. Odd that a prostitute going out on a call would wear sneakers. The boots sound more plausible... unless she left a comfier pair (such as sneakers) in MP's car, which would mean she was back in that car before her demise. Is there an LE theory for the discrepancy in shoes?

Did Coletti give a description of what she was wearing?

One thing that's struck me about her circumstances... for someone who was allegedly in some sort of psychosis when she was running around, she did an awfully good job of hanging on to her purse. Not impossible, I know, but very improbable, IMO. Now if you were running for safety, on the other hand, you might have the presence of mind to keep your purse with you. Just one of those details that seems off to me.

The only explanation I can think of for her "running out of her pants" would be if the mud was acting like quicksand and sucking her legs down, it may have been to take off the stuff that was dragging. Like the way you kick off your shoes and offload extraneous clothes if you fall into deep water. But then if she was psychotic enough to be running around like a wild woman, it's hard to think she'd have the presence of mind to do this, either.

Nothing adds up. It's like some busted Rubic's cube where no matter how you try to line things up, there's always something that doesn't match.

You are welcome. I remember a while back reading on one of these threads about the boots and sneaker incident. Along with one of her earrings found out side of JB house by her sister who had went there days later. It's very mind boggling to think she went in with her knee high boots on and left running in sneakers. Think the conclusion most came up with was that she maybe brought the bag from MP car in with her. Because I guess she did change on her way to a call once MP had picked her up that night.
From what I understand LE hasn't said to much about it.
I've also had the thought of her getting out of her jeans if they were wet. Wet jeans are horrible to run in and I myself have had wet jeans I've gotten out of because they were wet. However, I wasn't running for my life so it's a bit different.
As for her keeping her purse with her, I have to agree with you. You make some very good points.

Wait... do you mean a call before this one? Either way, it's weird that she would take her bag of clothes in with her. Granted I don't have experience with prostitute etiquette, but if your job is to provide sexual fantasy, would it make sense to show up with your sneakers in a bag? Why not leave them in the car?

I remember the earring. I guess she lost that while the doctor was "helping" her...

Still can't make sense of the extended call to 911. Why would a john (or group of johns) allow that call? Unless they weren't afraid of the local police...

So baffling.

I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure she changed before she went to another call before going on the call to JB house.
And that is so true about MP and JB letting her make the 911 call. And even then why would someone murder her after knowing she made the 911 call? None of it adds up. It could go both ways really. So confusing.

Based on what? By who?

It probably is true. He is not one to throw theories around without believing they are on the money. PD hails from that area and knows a lot about what goes on out there.

I tend to believe this whole thing is wrapped around a drug and sex culture that will bring in a lot of people who would rather not have their names out there.

No doubt in my mind the cops have a working theory on how the GB4 and SG got there. The answers are right at OB, not from someplace else a body was taken to for disposal.

What the cops need is another dead guy to pin this on.

gee, i hope you are 5'2' and eyes are blue with a shapely figure and a pretty face.

Show me a link to the "toxicology report". I mean, not to mention that SG's remains were found a long, long time after any traces of coke would be detectable.

"Lawyer: Shannan Gilbert's autopsy report inconclusive

(05/01/12) OAK BEACH - Two years ago to the day after Shannan Gilbert went missing in Oak Beach, her mother and sisters met with the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

A lawyer for Gilbert's mother says the results of the autopsy report they received today are inconclusive. Originally, police had said they believed Gilbert had drowned in the swampy area of Oak Beach. However, the attorney says the report contains no evidence of that.

The report shows that Gilbert had no traces of cocaine in her system, although the Gilberts' lawyer says that was the only drug her remains were tested for.

This addresses the job in Manhattan between Shannan's trip to the movies with her boyfriend and Pak taking her out to Long Island:

So... she changed out of her sandals into boots, then changed into sneakers? Did MP have a wardrobe closet in his car?

I'd love for MP to tell us exactly when he saw her in sneakers. So far as I understand his story, she was in with the john(s) then fled the house... nothing about letting her in the car before she fled to get changed again. Did she go in the house wearing tall boots and come out in sneakers? When did this all happen in relation to being hysterical? "911, please come and help me they're going to kill me... but hold on I have to change shoes."

Sorry to harp on the shoes, but the detail just really stands out to me. That and the purse.

Wish Coletti could describe what he saw her wearing.

p.s. Brewer was surprised when she, a call girl, asked for money, because he just thought they were keeping each other company? How dumb does he want us to think he is?

They are all full of that stuff that was once food and passes through your digestive system and out the other end.

Also, I am not sure if I have missed something or not but I seem to have only read or heard about black strappy sandals and knee high boots. Kinda makes me wonder where in the world the sneakers came from in the first place.
How many shoes is she carrying around with her? And why? With her being an escort the knee highs make sense and it also kinda makes sense she had on black strappy sandals before changing but where did the sneakers come from?
It's all a bit odd.

A sneaker was found on OP. This was at the time the 4 victims were found. A police officer had a sneaker in one hand and a clear bag with blue print in the other hand. I believe MP said SG changed into strappy ballet type shoes. No sneakers.

I remember the strappy ballet shoes. And I remember seeing the sneakers but maybe I was thinking of ones that were found with the GB4? So there was strappy sandals, ballet type shoes, and the boots? Or just the ballet shoes and boots?

I think she wore boots and changed into ballet. No sandals. I think someone referred to them as sandals because they had straps. I wonder whos sneaker was found.

The last two victims did not travel over a bridge to meet the killer. I wonder if that was a calculated move on the part of the killer. Perhaps as a result of knowing MBs mother filed a police report.

In the court of law that would be called "hearsay" and wouldn't even hold up there. And if most murders were solved because somebody said something then we wouldn't need to many detectives now would we?

I'm not testifying in a court of law, so I don't care what it's called there. And that little tidbit of info (that they were doing coke) doesn't "solve" anything; it would probably be odd if a 46-year-old man who was welcoming a prostitute into his home at 2 am was not doing coke (I mean, duh). So it was a yawner for me when I heard it.

The Page You Requested Can Not Be Found.

Well, since we know (from the link I provided upthread) that cocaine only stays in the system for a maximum of two months, then a test for it would always prove negative for someone found a year after dying, wouldn't it. Which makes me think that the Gilberts' lawyer is full of it (and that's not a new revelation for anyone).

John Ray may be the Geraldo of the legal profession. If Ray's theory is correct then SG wasn't murdered. If Ray's theory is correct he is going after Hackett when the people with the deep pockets ( Suffolk County ) skate free.
