"I screamed, he screamed as he came up from the basement."
She meant what she said.
and said what she meant...
"I screamed, he screamed as he came up from the basement."
She meant what she said.
Yep, and gentlemen was used in the ransom note too....(this may be what you are refering to when you say "another slip". Who uses that word anymore, anyway?
yes,that's what I mean,the RN
I thought that it was, but wasn't sure. I don't know of anyone that even uses that word...unless, they are an announcer, or the ring master at a circus....."LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....presenting...." (IMO) That and the "and hence" phrase, are just a little bit too coincidental, don't you think??
13 PATSY RAMSEY: Pillows and things. Yeah,
14 this is the little pillow (inaudible). Her Christmas
15 doll.
16 TOM HANEY: That is 73, 74, 75, and 76 now.
17 PATSY RAMSEY: (Inaudible).
18 TOM HANEY: That I couldn't tell you right at
19 this moment. Do you remember any staining on that
20 pillow the night you put her to bed?
21 PATSY RAMSEY: No. It was dark in there, you
22 know.
23 TOM HANEY: When you put her to bed did you
24 turn on any lights that night, Christmas night.
25 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't think so. Maybe. I
0426
1 can't remember. I remember dressing her, her pajamas
2 pants on her. It was dark. I didn't turn on the
3 bright lights because I didn't want to wake her up.
4 TOM HANEY: But back up. John had carried
5 her up and put her on the bed, and then you took it
6 from there?
7 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.
8 TOM HANEY: But you never turned on the
9 light?
10 PATSY RAMSEY: I probably turned one on in
11 the bathroom looking for the pajamas. I would have
12 been in there.
13 TOM HANEY: How about this pillow, when is
14 the last time in the daytime would you have some time
15 on Christmas day gone in there to put away Christmas
16 presents, to do anything?
17 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't remember.
18 TOM HANEY: How often would say the pillow
19 case would be changed?
20 PATSY RAMSEY: At least once a week.
21 TOM HANEY: Okay. How about the rest of the
22 day, the bottom tucked in sheets.
23 PATSY RAMSEY: At least once a week.
24 TOM HANEY: Was there a particular day of the
25 week that --
0427
1 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't remember.
2 TOM HANEY: Okay. I mean, some folks are
3 pretty much on a schedule.
4 PATSY RAMSEY: I'm pretty laid back.
5 TOM HANEY: How about Linda?
6 PATSY RAMSEY: I know she did it once a week.
7 I don't know what day she did it.
8 TOM HANEY: So this particular sheet could be
9 on its last day of the seven or -- the holiday it could
10 be --
11 PATSY RAMSEY: Longer.
12 TOM HANEY: Was she expected to come in that
13 day?
14 PATSY RAMSEY: No.
15 TOM HANEY: 26th.
16 PATSY RAMSEY: She was supposed to come in.
17 She was going to come on Friday. Wednesday was
18 Christmas, so she was off on Christmas. She came
19 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She was there Monday
20 because she helped me get ready for the party.
21 TOM HANEY: When you were getting ready for
22 the party did she do the laundry?
23 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't know. We were getting
24 ready for the party, you know.
25 TOM HANEY: Right.
0428
1 PATSY RAMSEY: Downstairs. She didn't come
2 Wednesday because it was Christmas. She was going to
3 come Friday after we had gone, and I left her a check
4 because she (inaudible) cried she wanted money.
5 TOM HANEY: But if she comes Monday,
6 Wednesday and Friday, and obviously doesn't come
7 because of Christmas on Wednesday, we have the sheets
8 on at a minimum, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, so three
9 days.
10 PATSY RAMSEY: Probably.
11 TOM HANEY: The maximum number going back.
12 PATSY RAMSEY: Maybe the next Friday.
13 TOM HANEY: Or last Wednesday.
14 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.
15 TRIP DEMUTH: Did JonBenet ever have nose
16 bleeds at night?
17 PATSY RAMSEY: Not that I remember.
18 Sometimes she might pick her nose, maybe cause it to
19 bleed, but she wouldn't have one of those, you know,
20 dry, you know, to hold her head back kind of thing.
Does that mean what I think it does? Blood stains on her pillow case? I was looking at the autopsy pictures on the Bubble Bath thread and did think at the time that it was a weird colour for mucous. It looked to me like it was some kind of stain or something. After reading this interview, this section caught my eye. Looking back at the pictures I thought maybe that is blood smeared above her lip under her nose. Maybe then that would support the idea that someone had here, (I can’t remember who, sorry) that it was prior staging in her bed. How else could blood have gotten on to her pillow case other than maybe from the wound on the back of her head? (I am not sure if the head wound was bleeding externally) Is it possible that if someone was hit in the back of the head that there would be a bleed through the nose? Also, I imagine that if her nose was bleeding wouldn’t the blood have trickled down her chin and neck onto her top? Perhaps more signs of staging there and more cleaning up?

6 PATSY RAMSEY: I don't give a damn
7 how scientific it is, go back to the damn
8 drawing board. I didn't do it. John Ramsey
9 didn't do it and we didn't have a clue of
10 anybody who did do it. So we all got to be
11 working together from this day forward to try to
12 find out who the hell did it.
Ok, gals: how many of you refer to your husbands by both their first and last names?
I do ! And in DOI,she says JB liked to play "presenting" (where someone announces her and she pretended to walk out on stage)...and I bet PR heard that in all the pageants she went to.
13 PATSY RAMSEY: Pillows and things. Yeah,
14 this is the little pillow (inaudible). Her Christmas

Also interesting that PR isnt sure about how long that set of sheets had been on the bed. I think I remember reading on this site or somewhere on the net that the housekeeper had changed the sheets prior to Christmas Day and that the Beauty and the Beast ones werent put on by her. Who then changed the sheets? Wasn't PR in the habit of having them in the washing machine when the housekeeper turned up in the morning? Weird also that her child was a bed wetter and her sheets didnt get changed every day (according to PR in this interview) At least 1 sheet change a week? I dont think so!
I have been trying so hard to keep an open mind on this case. When I see things like this, I just cant help thinking that the parents had something to do with JBs murder. It is getting harder the more I read on this to try to come up with ideas on how someone other than the Ramseys were involved. I dont think I am really on the fence anymore, I think I just landed on the Ramsey did it side with a loud thud after reading that!
Just about to post this when I thought to read some previous posts on this thread. Sorry I had to copy and paste this, I don't know how to do it any other way.

Now, why in the world is she asking about blood? This is the first time blood is mentioned in this interrogation, and she's the one that brings it up! Haney does not reply to her question...just moves to next question! Patsy is wondering why there isn't any blood on the drapery. Should there be, Patsy?! Is this the scene of the murder - not the wine cellar?
I caught that too....when I read bits and pieces of this interview a few months ago. I STILL haven't gotten through the whole thing. But, I after reading that about the blood...I also have wondered if that was where the actual murder took place...and then she was placed in the basement.

So she thought that maybe there was blood on the drapes? I wonder what actually happened in that bedroom?
Her skull was split all the way to the bridge of her nose,so yes,I would think it possible, and maybe very likely her nose would have bled from that.perhaps JB was killed in bed with the FL,or her head was slammed up against the headboard(or both)..wasn't it messed up,I think? Was that what she was talking about with the drapes? the draped headboard..maybe she was asking if there was blood on it?
It sounds like she wasn't cooperating, likely from being so tired, and someone lost their temper, manually strangling her at first, and then the rest came next.
I think it's possible the head wound occured in her room, knocking her unconcious, and she was moved to the basement, where she was strangled and killed with the ligature. The urine stain on the carpet outside the WC is likely from that,IMO.
This nosebleed subject is pretty interesting...I am going to start a new thread about it...hope you guys don't mind.
I should say so....check this out....

Signs and Symptoms of head injuries that alert the need for medical care include:Notice the very first one listed in loss of consciousness, which I believe happened to JB...and I believe thats when Patsy screamed (the scream that the neighbor heard)...and she started shaking JB frantically, trying to revive her (thats where the bruises on the sides of her head came from). Another one that I have redded and bolded is BLOOD COMING FROM NOSE. Could this be the reason that there were blood stains on JB's pillow...(based on the interviewers questioning about nosebleeds)? I am also quite positive that JB went into convulsions too...I have always thought this, before losing consciousness. These are SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAD INJURIES THAT ALERT THE NEED FOR MEDICAL CARE....only problem with that is...the Ramsey's were afraid to get medical care, because one of them...I believe Patsy...was afraid of being arrested right there on the spot, in the ER, because SHE is the one that caused that injury. Doctors are not stupid....they would have figured it out. How in the world would she have explained that massive head injury? You know she heard the crack...it had to have been extremely loud....so she knew there was a bad fracture, and if she had of taken JB to the ER, they would have x-rayed her and found it out. What excuse would she have given them for such a horrendous wound? She was skipping and she fell? She was riding her bike, and she fell off of it? She fell down a whole flight of stairs. I mean, come on...how believable is THAT? But, thats what alot of IDI posters say, that she could have said...IF she did it. Do they not know that Doctors go to college for that, and they could tell by the injury, that a staircase didn't do it? Instead, they would have figured that it was some sort of tremendous blow to her head that was intentionally caused by one of her parents. So, what do the Ramsey's do? They stage a crime scene, and HOPE that they can fool people (which they did) and stay out of prison....OR, they can take JB to the ER, and lie to the Dr, who would have not believed their story...and for SURE been thrown in jail? Of course...IMO..they choose to stage an "intruder" crime scene...and hope and pray that it works. IT DID.....
- Loss of consciousness, confusion, drowsiness
- Inability to move any part of the body or weakness in an arm or leg
- Dent, bruise, cut or blood on the scalp
- Severe headache
- Stiff neck
- Vomiting
- Blood or fluid that comes from the mouth, nose or ear
- Loss of vision, blurred or double vision, pupils of unequal size
- Convulsions
that, and I wonder if they didn't want JB to wake up?after all..what might she tell the dr's????
14 Q. (By Mr. Kane) You say
15 apparently, during the autopsy, an issue was
16 raised about the possibility of JonBenet
17 having eaten pineapple. Do you recall -- do
18 you recall, during the interviews in June of
19 1998, being told that there was, in fact,
20 pineapple in her system?
21 A. I don't remember the specific
22 discussion. I believe someone said there may
23 have been something that looked like
24 pineapple.
25 Q. Okay.
0056
1 A. I'm not - no one ever has told
2 me that it was definitively pineapple.
3 Q. All right. Did John -- so John
4 never told you that Lou Smith told him that
5 it was definitely pineapple?
6 A. No.
Here's another oddity.
In his 1998 interview, John Ramsey was told my Lou Smith that the substance in Jonbenet's digestive system was pineapple - no question. He said this was the big "bugaboo".
Yet in DOI, which was written AFTER those interviews, Patsy Ramsey dismissed the pineapple as an "urban legend" (p 273 DOI HB).
Patsy was questioned about this in the 2000 interviews:-
John Ramsey knew the pineapple was important - Lou Smith emphasised that to him - yet John Ramsey didn't see fit to tell Patsy?
Does this mean JR didn't believe Lou Smit?
Does it mean that John and Patsy didn't discuss important things?
Does it mean that despite the interview with Lou SMit, the Ramseys saw fit to lie about the pineapple in their book? (we know they didn't expect those interviews to be made public)
Other reason?
