Honestly, I don't think it makes a difference to his ticket sales any more... The people who were going to attend Cosby's concert despite there being 35 alleged victims aren't going to suddenly stop and care if they find out there's now 38.

An admirable sentiment but there's doing something wrong and then there's doing something wrong to tenth degree. My friend, if you sexually assault forty people, I will stop calling you my friend. Clearly I didn't know who you were at all.

Bill Cosby’s “Far From Finished” comedy tour, whose final scheduled show is May 2 in Atlanta, has come at a precarious moment for the former TV star. In the face of tremendous scrutiny over Cosby’s alleged past of sexual assault, more and more women came forward to claim the comedian assaulted them. Cosby’s shows were cancelled or protested (Gloria Allred, the lawyer, has said the Atlanta show will see a protest). A planned Cosby special on Netflix was indefinitely postponed, and an NBC sitcom in development was halted.

Why is it, then, that Cosby seems to be thriving? His shows—those that were not cancelled—draw crowds, and Cosby himself apparently feels liberated to joke with his fans about the allegations of date-rape drug use, saying at an Ontario show, “You have to be careful about drinking around me.” His disregard for the turn in public attention against him would seem to be proof that he does not believe himself to have done anything wrong. Further, though, it indicates he’s aware that any public-relations crisis a male celebrity undergoes can be outlived.

There were at least a couple of unfunny moments at Bill Cosby‘s concert at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, as the scandal-plagued comedian faced down hecklers intent on disrupting his performance....One attendee went on at length, in an interruption that the paper likened to “performance art,” about how he felt like “Cosby’s sweater.”...A second heckler, identified as Wilmington, N.C. resident Ashley Leonard, interrupted Cosby’s childhood reminiscence about his mother threatening to beat him by yelling out, “She didn’t beat out of you how you treat women!”

To which Cosby replied, “Stop it! This is our show. It will be over soon.”

A Bill Cosby stand-up performance was once so tame as to ensure its own safety, but now a Cosby set is police-state comedy. Venue security ran attendees through a dual checkpoint. At the first checkpoint, security asked me for a photo ID to check against a “Security Watch List,” which at a glance, appeared to contain around 125 names. “That’s the bad people list,” said a cheerful security guard to a slightly rattled couple. “As long as you’re not on that list, you’re all good.”

Atlantic City police are currently investigating sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby made last week by former Cosby Show guest star Lili Bernard.

According to Press of Atlantic City, Bernard began speaking with police last week in a five-hour interview about the incident. Bernard claims that Cosby drugged and raped her in Atlantic City in the early 1990s.

New Jersey has no statute of limitations on rape, meaning charges could be filed if an investigation finds enough evidence.
Allred said Bernard provided police with information and evidence, saying that she could give them more, if asked. No details were released publicly.

A federal judge is scheduled to hear arguments in a defamation lawsuit filed by three women who allege Bill Cosby sexually assaulted them decades ago.

The hearing, in U.S. District Court in Worcester, represents the first in the suit, which applies solely to the defamation allegation and not for any of assault allegation. It was originally filed in December.

Judge David H. Hennessy denied a motion filed by the women’s high-powered attorney, Joseph Cammarata, to subpoena records from the lawyers for Andrea Costand — the first woman to sue Cosby for sexual assault.

That case was dropped in 2006 after an undisclosed settlement was reached.

Despite the ruling, Cammarata remained optimistic that he would obtain the records.

The case is scheduled to be heard June 9 in federal court in Springfield, where a judge will consider a motion to dismiss filed by Cosby’s lawyers.

Cosby on Thursday and Friday will speak in several cities across Alabama's rural Black Belt region.
The actor and comedian will speak with high school students as part of the non-profit Black Belt Community Foundation's campaign to improve area schools.
