It is no secret that Investigators will lie to get your reaction, to get you to talk, to keep people off balance and to further their investigation.

Yeah, but do they lie to the public in a presser like that too?

Just because Billie is saying that there was no child *advertiser censored* found on the memory stick doesn't make it true. I only believe a "little bit" of what comes out of her mouth.

Well I wouldn't think so. I don't believe what BD said today. I believe she may have made a deal. Seems to me she wants everyone to know it was Shawn's and in his dresser.

Billie also said it had pictures of Shawn and other women (remember, that made her REALLY mad.)

Investigators said that there was child *advertiser censored* on the memory stick.

Perhaps, one of Shawn's "other women" was a girl, not yet a woman?

We have to remember that 16/17 year old girl would still be child *advertiser censored*. There doesn't even have to be sex involved.

If he took a naked picture of or was sent a naked picture of a 16/17 year old girl, that is child *advertiser censored*. Whether Shawn knows she is under 18 or not would be irrelevant and not a valid defense.

The memory stick had over 300 images of *advertiser censored*, including child *advertiser censored*. Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said the memory stick contained “320 images and videos of pornographic nature” with images depicting bestiality and child *advertiser censored*

I think Billie is lying. Or, LE may have lied to her to gauge her reaction and help determine what she knows. In either case, I'll take the word of Sheriff Toombs and the Mitchell County DA over that of Billie Dunn in regards to the memory stick's contents.

This reminds of the leaked bloodhound information at the start of the case. Billie went on Nancy Grace and admitted that LE wanted to be tight-lipped about pending results, but she defied their wishes and told a story that supported her and Shawn's version of events. Later, Kampfer corrected Billie's misstatements; the bloodhounds hadn't tracked Hailey to the hotel (just a false hit at one of many hotels they were led to). He also explained that the dogs would have traced Hailey's scent in the direction of Clint's and MB's because Hailey went in those directions all of the time; nothing indicating that was Hailey's trail on Monday 12/27 (I'm paraphrasing). Same deal with the mystery man leak; it was released by Billie apparently without LE authorization and has never led LE in another direction (that we know of). I think this is just another inaccurate leak from Billie in attempt to convince the public that they should be looking away from her house.

LE have to prove BD knew there was child *advertiser censored* on the memory stick in her house and Shawn put it on there and I don't see how they can. LE will have a tough time proving who googled child *advertiser censored* on Shawn's mother's computer too.

Personally, I can’t imagine who would do a search for child *advertiser censored* on ‘the family’s’ computer. Without solid proof by LE, this allegation against SA or BD won’t fly IMO.

I totally agree.

At first (even before her statements of no cp found on memory-stick) I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe the media had the report wrong on where the cp was found. We all know they love to sensationalize any story that will bring ratings and viewers, they have been wrong before. However the fact that grand juries in both counties are looking into this tells you that something WAS found in THEIR house as well.

Without closely following the Somer Thompson case as some here have, I remember that Jarred Harrell, the man who harmed her was turned in by roommates after they found child *advertiser censored* on his computer. From what I remember it took a while from when the roommates turned him in until they issued the arrest warrant. Even though the roommates brought it to the attention of LE, LE needed to make sure it was Jarred Harrell who downloaded the cp.

With a shared computer I'm not sure how they would prove with out a doubt who downloaded it but what could include or exclude SA as a suspect would be the times the images were either downloaded or last accessed. Was he at work at the time? Were any of the images on his moms computer the same as the ones on the memory stick? What other sites (such as the myers forum that used a login from him) were accessed immediately before or after the CP was downloaded?

I know of that case, but the extra info you gave was helpful. I wonder how long it really takes to figure what time this was dl and where so and so was at that time. For so much CP etc, it has to be more than one department can handle. I hope they have it all together for the gj. KWIM?

Well, remember Billie said she didn't know anyhting about the grand jury or even what is is. Shawn may be so sure that nothing will come of it if they both just say "dunno" that he has told family not to worry.
