It is like they are pushing the idea that Travis must pay for all the sins of every male she came in contact with in her life.

He already paid the ultimate price - for which particular sin we're not quite sure - but she knows.

I hope Nali87 who said that she is done with this trial comes back today. It's a shame to endure all these months of testiphony only to give up right before Juan's cross and rebuttal.
Don't give up you guys. Hopefully the end is in sight or at least the beginning of the end. :please:

Arias doesn't even need an official (ha!) punishment. She will scorch and burn with the very venom that she spits out at us. Her all-consuming and wretched hatred will be the death of her.

Is there any specific reason why Court is starting late?

Geff or the defense team knew that Juan could use the video of Deanna's prior testimony, so he/JA/df made sure he added in his testimony that these girls did not even realize they were being abused. SMH

I hope JM puts on the big screen the 6+ instances of judges on record disparaging Geffner's court testimony, and then asks Geffner if he was unaware of any/all of them.

I don't think it was said. But we ended last week with the judge asking for any juror conflicts so I wonder if maybe this has something to do with it? Or maybe I'm reading too much into that.

Question: didn't Nurmi have something to file with the AZ Supreme Court last Friday? Has anyone seen that? I thought it was a supplemental brief or something.

Financially he was the most successful person she ever dated. The very fact that she is willing to lie in court to discredit him shows she never really loved him at all. Her idea of success was marrying Travis. He stole from Jodi her ability to become successful and he was a threat to her future. That is how she sees it. jmo

Carp +

Every male in Arias' life 'choked her out', and every female in Travis' didn't realise they were being abused.

Disclaimer: I abhor violence of any kind and would never advocate it or excuse it.

That said, I believe she's quite capable of so enraging folks that they resort to violence against her. Bobby and JA did coke together. Coke + a maddening JA might well have led to choking her. Saying FU to her father in every way she could no doubt made him extremely angry.

She drove Travis to send a text filled with thoughts and language that by all accounts were otherwise foreign and distasteful to him. But the measure of his self control, and of his complete innocence on the charge of abusing JA, can be found in how he handled his rage towards her the day she confronted him about what she saw when she tiptoed into his yard, uninvited, and spied on him and whatever woman he was with.

According to JA, his response was to walk away from her , then to bang his head against a closet door.

Doesn't that say it all?

Agree. We have come too far. Even though it is painful to endure some days, the end result will all be worth it. Getting to see JA escorted away to her new home.

I hope to see JSS giving Juan the same wide latitude to rebut any of these witnesses. Sometimes I do think she hamstrings him more than she does the defense when he wants to bring something in that counters what the DTs experts are spewing.

A major hamstring imo is JSS's allowing a JW-requested approach and prolonged sidebar every 45 sec. of JM's cross of witnesses. I have no hope of that changing.

Was JM even objecting to Geffner testifying about how the affidavits bolstered his opinion? In the mitigation phase, especially, I don't think JSS had the option to say no to that. I could see objecting to (1) the ADMISSION of the affidavits as separate evidence to be brought back to the jury room, and (2) the discussion of certain paragraphs of the affidavits that were clearly irrelevant, e.g., "Jodi must have been brainwashed."

I don't know exactly what JM's objections were or which of them, if any, were sustained.

From what I read on BK, JM was objecting to content only. He asked for several to be ruled entirely inadmissable based on relevancy (secret witnesses giving their opinion about guilt phase).

For the remainder he stated objections paragraph by paragraph, and the DT responded in kind. Hence the epically long sidebar.

I think she is quick with her tongue and passive aggressive by her texts and testimony.....and the facial expressions, ugh. So, yes....she likes driving people to the edge. And relentlessly NEVER gives up. She is tenacious with absolutely no sense of shame or embarrassment. imo

AZlawyer, I have another question.

Now that so much as been let in during the defense case will Juan be able to bring up the statements he has in his possession from those he has interviewed or Flores interviewed? Can he do this through Dr. DeMarte like the defense is doing with Geff?

Questions about people who have given statements to LE/DA that Arias harmed pets? Or other disparaging things that we haven't learn about but Juan knows through witness statements?

Oh how I miss seeing Wilmcott get flustered and struggle as she makes feeble attempts to do 1/2 as good a job as Juan does. :)

Gonna have to watch some of the re-runs whenever they become available.

I don't think that will change either, Deb.:(

In her diary she thought of a new quote; Money flows where Jodi goes. She also, in the same place said 'one thing for sure, there is a lot of money'. She was talking about having some money problem at the time but I think her 'new quote' and her other comment was referring to Travis and his money.
