Hiya Elle! I'm not sure if you meant to quote my post instead of ICit's but I'll comment on point 3/sequence anyhow since I like ya so much.

I wonder what changed JM's mind about gunshot first/last, in the 8/7/09 evidentiary hearing JM was arguing it was first (mentioned on page 2, second paragraph of this minute entry:

It's hard to believe it was to throw the defense off course and make Nurmi blow a gasket (which he's still doing over this) but what in the evidence would make JM decide a month before trial that it was really last instead of first? In light of this though, we know his view of the sequence is able to change, just wish we knew why in the gunshot area.

There is also a damaged bathroom tile that to me, looks like a bullet ricocheted, which could of caused the bullet casing on top of the blood.

This is what I can picture what happened, and why else would she steal the gun?

It is beautiful, but not man-made. The water is spectacularly blue to look at from the rim and has some of the clearest water in the world. It is extremely deep. I'm betting the odds of a body showing up on shore would be minuscule.

Isn't it a caldera like the Valles Caldera here in New Mexico?

IIRC because it's been a long time since I was there, the pullovers on the rim road are rimmed by low walls. I believe the road is basically along the edge of the crater; below, the walls of the crater are scree, so it would be impossible to climb out even if someone were to sruvive a "fall." There is not a whole lot of traffic, and it's miles to get help (33 Miles around?).

The Park is spectacular; it is remote, but it has a lodge (1920's?); it would have rangers. Incidentally, I'm not sure it would have been open at the time JA was suggesting, since the average annual snowfall is 533 inches (yes, that's right), the rim road isn't plowed, and it's a massive ordeal when they get the plows out in spring. When they finally do, they sometimes have to plow through 15 feet of snow, in May.

A short road into the headquarters area of the park is mostly kept open in winter, but sometimes it can snow 4 feet in one storm.

The plows that are used for deep snow in the Cascades have large rotating blades that carve through several feet at a time.

Crater Lake is well worth a visit. It is the only National Park in Oregon. Don't forget a rain jacket and layers.

There are so many great places in the US to visit like this. One thing I learned a long time ago was never believe anyone when they tell you a famous place has "become too commercialized" or "too many tourists". They are still great and wonderful to visit.

When I was younger and trying to pick a good place to ski, we had heard how Vail, Colorado was "too commercialized" and so we almost went somewhere else. But we ended up choosing Vail and expecting to be somewhat disappointed.

Well, let me tell you. OMFG. One of the greatest ski destinations in the US and it was wonderful. I think I learned an important lesson that year. Places that are well known become well known for a good reason. THEY ARE GREAT. So go and enjoy them.
Whether it is Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Vail, Aspen, Disneyland, etc. They are all still amazing and wonderful.

I believe there was one picture of them in the act and it was not shown.

According to Det. Flores' investigative report (p.18), Det. Melendez retrieved eight nude photos: "six of Jodi and two of the victim Travis Alexander".

Of the six shown in court, four were of Arias and two of Travis. So, the remaining two must be of Arias alone (assuming Flores' report was accurate - it was fairly early days, written June 28, 2008).

WISE WORDS. I totally agree. Yosemite National Park is another great example. Half Dome is AMAZING. No matter how many tourists come to visit, it is still a WONDER of NATURE. And the Golden Gate Bridge in the beautiful city of San Francisco, one of the most gorgeous cities in the world. Come one and come all.

The gunshot first theory is one that I have flip-flopped on myself a lot during this trial.

For those who use the shell casing in the blood as indication it must have come last, there is another possibility I could see happening where the gunshot still could have been first.

If you look very closely at one of the tile shots where the casing is laying the blood. There is channels inbetween the tiles where the grout goes. Lets assume the shot came first and casing landed on that tile. I could see where later on, blood slowly dripped down those grout channels and slowly encompassed the bullet casing. Over time, the blood possibly flowed all around the casing making it look like the casing landed on top if it.

That is one possibility that still allows the shot to be first and explains that picture of the shell casing in the blood with no blood on top of it.

The bullet didn't ricochet. It was lodged in Travis's left jaw and showed very little signs of deformity. If it had ricocheted it would have been obviously deformed. The handgun ejects the spent casing out of the pistol after it's fired, then it landed on top of the blood. I believe that he was shot last to silence the sounds or noises that his body was still making (Air escaping his lungs and gurgling sounds) even after the throat slashing. The angle in that pic would be the same if she were standing over him at the shower after dragging his body back there.

There was a hearing on it before Jodi testified. The Defense wanted the Travis part brought in with Lonnie Dworkin who analyzed the Helio Phone.

IMO, interesting that women seem to be excluded from this capability, not to mention women watching adult *advertiser censored*. Now I see why JA keeps wanting "masturbation" and "Travis" linked. It's as offensive an event as sex with another person if you're not married, and would likely get you into big trouble with the Bishop. Until just now I've always thought the gunshot could have been first, despite the shell casing on top of pooled blood or any other kind of logic or evidence or forensics to suggest otherwise. But I'm now 99.99% sure the gunshot was last and here's why...

#1- she liked knives so she took her rage out on him with what she got off using, and torment him at the same time

#2- she probably wanted to make it look like two people killed Travis, and a gunshot would help do that

#3- even though a gunshot wasn't even necessary after that bloodbath, a shot to the side of the head was probably her final "FU" to him

Just thinking about all that gives me the creeps. C'mon jurors... don't fail us and don't fail the Alexander family.

She may have been truthful when she told Det. Flores she'd never fired a gun before (save for TA). But she sure had used a knife before, and I think she liked it.
