What if Juan can prove BN broke the hard drive. What if his proof is an actual person who knows or saw it happen?
Just thinking because the tweet about Juan saying he can prove it sounded absolute.

Poking over at Youtube, now that the first trial is over, I found this to be interesting in retrospect:

Jodi Arias Sent "Good-bye" Letter to Travis 3 Weeks Before Killing Him. Days Later, Sends Him a Poem
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64j1x2UpxZM

She wanted to be known as the women behind Travis, etc etc.

I don't like the "can't control a courtroom" phrase because it sounds too much like a grade school teacher who "can't control a classroom." In my opinion, the failure has been in what has gone on outside of the court room (in chambers or muffled bench conferences) or inside when the judge denied public access.

That was extreme.

ETA: Thank goodness for Bodney.

I'll go out on a limb and revise the phrase from "can't control a courtroom" to "won't control her courtroom", because that's my honest view of JSKS.

He'd needs to look at the 2008 hard drive copy to figure out just why it was missed twice and if it's even there at all. That's important. All this info is stuff he got from examining the hard drive itself recently. He has to if there is anything that is on it that is not on the 2014 hard drive. He is a moron if he thinks it's not important to look at that copy.

And where was he the first time 'round to look for "*advertiser censored*"? He was already on DT' s payroll...Bring on the Febreeze this all stinks to high heaven. And p.s. no words for the post -testimony handshake with CMJA. Wonder if her shackles clanked during that encounter......

Melendez testimony from HLN updates 4/24/13:

5:50 p.m. ET: Martinez has called Mesa, Arizona Police Detective Michael Melendez to the stand. Melendez said he examined Alexander's laptop hard drive and did not find any images of women's breasts or images of children on his computer. He also did not find any pornographic websites in Alexander's internet browser history.

5:52 p.m. ET: Martinez has finished his direct examination of Melendez. Nurmi is now questioning the detective.

5:53 p.m. ET: Melendez said the laptop recovered from Alexander's home belonged to Reid.

6:18 p.m. ET: Nurmi is asking Melendez to explain how he conducts a forensic examination of a computer. Melendez said he makes a copy of the hard drive and then he can see everything that is on it.

6:21 p.m. ET: Melendez said the last activity on the laptop recovered from Alexander was at 4:54 p.m. on June 8, 2008.

6:25 p.m. ET: Nurmi is walking Melendez through the laptop internet browser history from June 4, 2008 at 4:00 a.m. in the morning.

It appears someone was looking up youtube videos of Daft Punk.

6:31 p.m. ET: Juror question: Did you find any *advertiser censored* or any nude images on of the items you examined?

Melendez said no he did not find any images like that on anything he examined.

Thanks for this. This is crazy. It's almost as crazy as spending half a day studying an enormously enlarged photo of the pupil of a man and seeing a Ninja.

I know that there are members (gifted with the virtue of patience) who feel that this Judge is doing her best. Can we at least agree that she is not the best Judge for a case of this magnitude? This trial cries out for a stern, no-nonsense type of Judge and JSS is simply not like that. It's not her style. I might like her as a next door neighbour but I am terribly disappointed in the way that she has managed this trial.

I am very late to this line of thinking but I'm starting to get on board with it. Her allowing this "expert" to disrespect JM this afternoon has brought me around..... So very sad IMHO.

Juan saw a German Shepard if memory serves me. Lol. Yea. I remember BN from the last trial. He was infuriating then.

While I refuse to concede, without actual evidence, that Neumeister found any *advertiser censored*, I think (from the tweets, since we're precluded from viewing or even hearing the proceedings) that his smoke-blowing and dust-throwing amounted to what he claimed was "searches for *advertiser censored*" versus actual *advertiser censored*.

Searching for *advertiser censored* is not necessarily the same thing as actually downloading pornographic images to the HDD (hard disk drive).

I can utilize a browser to navigate to a search engine and query for "cruel murderous pretend Mormons with debasing desires", but that doesn't mean that you'll find digital images of them on my hard drive, unless I actually download said images.

Anyone that has ever used a search engine should know that they can and will bring up links for anything that has the words searched for, including *advertiser censored* sites. That doesn't mean they were accessed.

Of course! He found the *advertiser censored* via reflection off the circuit board, at just the right angle. Explains the damage.

From AZLawyer's post (thanks!)recounting Martinez's testimony: he says (paraphrase) "there were no pornographic websites in internet browser history".
Perhaps I am wrong, but the files they were talking about today were not found in the browser history (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc) - correct? it sounds to me like the ones this guy was talking about were in the cleaning process files like spybot tracks, correct?
I'll bet this is all semantics, too, and depends mightily on context.

We don't know yet, but it's certainly a possibility based on a motion filed by the prosecution. Travis used Spybot. It sounds as if Neumeister was referencing registry files (which the experts for both prosecution and defense in the first trial phase would have been aware of). He is not a reliable witness, and if he is making references to registry files that existed on the computer briefly before being disabled by Spybot, he is being very dishonest.

Can you add defile and de-edify too? :)

And Disparage. (Which, weirdly enough, is pretty much what "de-edify" means in PPL parlance. You're supposed to "edify" your higher-ups to prospective associates, basically make the higher-ups sound like the PPL-equivalent of rocket scientists and brain surgeons. Not like I'm obsessed with any of this stuff or anything, or wasted any time trying to figure out what the heck Jodi was talking about.)

:sigh: Fine. I'm just pissed off because the smiling and the shaking hands, to me, says he actually likes the killer. And I just cannot like/trust an expert that actually likes JA. I hope JM can dig up some real dirt on this guy. On one hand I can't believe he'd put his career on the line for JA but myb he thought he could get away with it... (Speculating)

Speaking of shackles---are those removed while Jodi sits at the defense table or must she wear them even during her *advertiser censored* doodling moments? Anyone know?

Remember JW's little sneer at the mention of SpyBot in her browser, and how it was 'only freeware that anyone could download? After reading Beth Karas, it seems BN used a freeware forensic tool that supposedly uncovered this *advertiser censored* that professional forensic tools missed. Oh and her notes said the reason he was given until Wed is because he says he's going out of town to testify on Mon-Wed. Still not sure why he needed time though, because he says has a staff of 20 people and has already made these copies. Oh well, what's another month or 6 in this trial....

Another view from The 13th Juror, from the Juan Martinez Prosecutor Support Page on FB:

https://www.facebook.com/JuanMartinezProsecutorSupportPage/posts/319045524955697

A snippet:

"...The Jury watched in rapt attention as Juan pursued his prey. I saw the seven note takers writing furiously. It is one of those note takers that the Foreperson will arise from.

I saw the Jury act more interested in the events on the floor than I had seen in all the days of Dr. Fonseca on the stand.

The path to Justice is not easy. The path to Justice requires genuine passion. Juan Martinez showed more passion in one day than the defense has throughout the length of the trial.

These Jurors will not have answers, yet. There is still a long path to walk. They will not have formulated an answer in their mind.

But, they will be impacted as they go home for the weekend.

They have not seen Dr. DeMarte. They don't know that Dr. DeMarte will finish the execution of Dr. Fonseca. I call her the "Psycho-Killer" in my book, "Brain Damage: A Juror's Tale", for a reason.

Finally, I feel as if we are making forward progress in our collective search for Justice for Travis and his family...

Justice 4 Travis Alexander."

But those 'numbers' are coming from this guy, the one that stood up from the witness stand and made a bee-line for the killer, so he could smile and shake her hand.

And those numbers cannot be verified until he hands in the raw data. Which one would think he could do easily and quickly. What's the hold up?

Yes, indeed, and if he tries/tried modifying it in any way, there'll be a record on the HDD I hope.

Expert witness Brian Neumeister holds up print-out of 70,000 deleted *advertiser censored* files.
