Okay, legit question for BritsKate, or any of our other posters who have been in real abusive situations: Have you ever used sex to "settle" your man down, and does it really work???

I was too afraid to get that close to try anything like that. I was afraid to be that near to him honestly when he was mad. But I can say in my case the ex was very highly sexual and if not real mad then sex would work,(temporarily) but it would have to be like you were the sex slave etc..and you were the one that had to do all the work and give give give.

I think you're right on target. And I think she thinks if she can only make the jury "understand" they will know she did what she had to do. And she would do it again. Because he deserved it. No remorse because she did nothing wrong.

I agree and keep saying the same thing. The problem for her is that any sane jury is not going to equate Travis not wanting to marry with abuse.
