She seems to never write one thing about not making enough money on her shift, worrying about paying a bill etc. She never writes about friendships with other women, going to the movies with friends, taking a class, reading a book, making a new recipe. She never talks about fights with a roommate or family member, missing an old friend or going on travel. Never anything reality based or important- HE WAS ALL SHE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT. Poor, poor Travis- he had no idea.

:goodpost:

I don't understand this at all. It totally comes across as Jodi getting a new trial. She's already been found guilty; the sentencing phase should have ended a long time ago.:gaah:

I still can't figure out why the defense needed so much time to prepare....and they're still are not ready.

#JodiArias is trapped in cycle. She can't get out. Wants to, but can't. Wants it to end. Contemplates suicide. (Commits homicide Instead.)

She was obsessed with him but at the same time she was able to butcher him and then go grind Ryan a few hours later. What goes on inside her brain? :scared:

Willmott reads, "I love Travis Victor Alexander so much I don't know how else to be." Writes same day, "I wish I could just die" #JodiArias

Has anyone seen her journals in their entirety?

How would Travis even know that she had a journal unless blabbermouth told him over and over again? It's not like he snooped and stalked her. He didn't hide in her closets and steal her journals. Besides, I doubt he ever cared about the endless drivel she wrote down as 'her truth'

He probably didn't know (though I think I read here it's common for Mormons), but any lie that's convenient is good enough for her.

She's like Linda Blair from the Exorcist strategically hidden inside a Stepford Wife.

I hope she testified long enough to give the jury a sense of how many ridiculous minor details she can remember. They can be asked to not consider her testimony, if the judge has to strike it. But the way she compulsively embellishes her lies kind of sticks with you.

ARIAS: It depends on the type of memory issue.

MARTINEZ: You say that you have memory problems, but it depends on the circumstance, right?

ARIAS: That`s right.

Agree completely, of course, but with one tiny alteration: instead of "kind of sticks with you," I'd say "makes you want to throw things and scream at your computer." There are a lot of different factors that go into being a "good" liar, and Jodi clearly has mastered some of them, for example: include a bit of truth; be as consistent as possible for as long as possible; don't confess to a lie unless you have another one ready to take its place; weave your lies into a complex, convoluted story so that (most) people will (usually) be too confused to notice inconsistencies.

That's just a partial list, of course. Jodi is mainly despicable, but she also interesting. In many ways she's a champion liar, but she also kind of stinks at it. As you say, it's the ridiculous minor details and compulsive embellishments. Even when she does construct a potentially plausible lie, she ruins it by adding some unnecessary, absurd detail. Sometimes just a little, sometimes a whole truckload. I think she starts yammering as a way to manipulate people and control information, but then she loses control and just starts adding stuff off the top of her head. It surprises me that she hasn't learned to keep things simple.

She told Det. Flores that she kicked the dog with her right foot. When she was trying to explain why her trip took so long, she told him 1) "I'm not above sleeping in my car," 2) "I'm a heavy sleeper," and 3) "I sleep a lot."

The night Travis molested her in her sleep (or whatever), she was wearing "cute shorts."

Even when she does tell the truth, the throws in absurd and completely irrelevant details, in an effort, I think, to appear forthcoming. She tells Det. Flores she likes cruise control. When she ran out of gas (lol) it was warm, but not too hot. She had a little bit to eat, from "snacks" she had in the car.

I'd hate to hear the Jodi Arias version of "may I use your bathroom?"
