I hate, hate, hate this trial and all that it stands for. I have never seen one like it. It is so unfair. Everything about it makes me feel as if I have slid into a mud hole and cant get out.

I feel so sorry for Juan. He is one lone soldier standing on the battlefield surrounded by lies on all sides. None of the witness should be able to say these horrible things without Juan being able to cross them on their lies. I am sure he thought the witness statements would be typical character statements and nothing like this slime.

I would give anything if this had not happened to Travis to begin with, but since I know it did, I am glad that he is unable to know how his character has been shredded into little tiny pieces by this one murderer and her team of vilians. It feels that Travis has been burned at the stake during the very trial that is suppose to be about justice... with the defendant, DT, and so called experts wielding the torches. I have said many times I have never seen a case like this one, and as soon as I say it again.... it even gets worse.

My heart hurts for Travis' family. I don't know where they gather the strength to forge on through this maize of constant BS and mental torture.

How does this even make sense? What does Geffner have to do with the cowardly mitigation witnesses and their affidavits? Did HE interview them?

Someone upthread said Maria Delarosa did (so THAT is what she is being paid for), but unfortunately it sounds like she does not know her job well and screwed it up by letting a lot of crazies spout off about nothing.

I somehow skipped over the part where they have an affidavit of someone saying he saw TA watch *advertiser censored*. Yeah right. At first I wanted the affidavit in because I figure they're all BS. But it's not fair to put such a horrible thing into the juror's mind without giving JM a chance to cross examine whoever is claiming it.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Judge read the affadavits before they are brought into the trial?

Sort of the way they read the juror questions and throw half of them out?

Methinks this is the DT being a bit sneaky once again.

They have yet to sit in the circle and play nice by the rules (IMO) - they just tantrum and say they will take their marbles and go home. Then when everyone bends over backwards to keep them in the circle - they drop all their marbles from the bag onto the playing field and scream that no one is being fair and they are only doing what they were told. All I can figure out is . . . they have lost marbles and at this point - so have I.

What makes this especially frustrating is I don't believe these witnesses are afraid. I think this is a ploy to tilt the scales ,as usual, by this DT. I don't think Juan believes it. Or the judge. But since the DT claims it, and you can't prove otherwise, here you go. More special treatment for <mod snip>.

Another one opining that Jodi should not get the dp, and why? There is a reason the Alexanders could not recommend dp to jury , it is outside the rules. Nurmi KNOWS this bs will never ever ever be in front of the jury. He just wanted it read aloud today to give Kiefer a headline.
Another one claims he or she believes Deanna was abused by Travis. The record is replete with testimony BY DEANNA RIED UNDER OATH saying Travis Alexander never even raised his voice to her. That was NEVER coming in.

It is utterly ridiculous. What a waste of the court's time. It was November 4, 2014 when Juan Martinez mentioned Nurmi had these 14 Affidavits and he wanted them. The court wanted to see them too, I trust. So we have waited, six years, and certainly over 60 days since 11/4/14 ......and this is the crap the defense hands in?

All I can tell you friends is that Juan Martinez, unlike Maria DeLaRosa, does know the law and so does the judge and I doubt any of the nonsense that was hinted at today will ever find its way in front of a jury. In an Affidavit, in a Halloween costume, repeated through Geffner......even if any of it does, all that signals to me is another open door for Juan to rebut. SO for that reason ... I say BRING IT. Juan is ALWAYS ready.

- Is it because Juan can question Cougarlicious [however she spelt it] -- and -- she is NOT credible ?

In other words, Cougarlicious does NOT want to be questioned by Juan IF that is permitted.
