Oh Rose it's not us I'm worried about. It's the jury. And I didn't mind if Mark McGee got on the stand as long as he got to be cross examined.

Think about it. The jurors listened to Geffner attack Travis all day. Bad enough. Now they're being asked to believe more bizarre attacks on Travis, this time by nameless faceless folks G is telling them about.

What would you think as a juror? Personally I'd be offended.

What happened to Wilmot finishing this morning.....Jodi must have given her new marching orders.

Not only can JM not cross examine ---but Geff gets to give his opinion about their lies.
I am sick this has been allowed.

What am I missing? Juan cannot cross. I do not get it. Why not?

What does this mean, or have any relation to this re-trial?

BBM - How can that be when he wasn't there to badmouth Travis?

Is anyone keeping count? This will make at least 15 witnesses who testified without cross from Juan. Jodi and Geffner and all the laughadavits and whoever else. Other than brief cross of Sue has he crossed any defense witness in two months of BS?

'witnesses" who gave their lies in writing and won't appear in court.

I am not a lawyer, but I think his complaint was that Nurmi & Wilmott didn't even try. I don't think Juan ever said he'd accept the affidavits without question. That's my understanding, anyway. We need AZLawyer (when she feels better) or another of our lawyers to weigh in.

I think he did say he would accept affidavits. Obviously the irrelevant bits shouldn't be read to the jury but I can't tell if they were from the tweets.

It must be so hard for Deanna to listen to all this BS. At the same time, her love for Travis and the Truth will power her through this ordeal. I also feel for the three trial #1 jurors who are in court today. It must be so hard for them to accept that they were unable to convince the four lifers to vote for death.

I am disheartened that this testimony has been allowed in but I do believe that these jurors have enough common sense to know the difference between the truth and preposterous lies. I think that this injustice is going to bring out the absolute best in Juan. His closing argument will be something spectacular.

I don't think the jurors are going to believe ANY of that BS about the child *advertiser censored* being downloaded in a file with TA's name, on his Bishop's computer. That makes no sense. TA had his own private computer in his own home. Why would he download illegal *advertiser censored* on a communal computer using his own name? FFS, that is ridiculous.

Let alone that total BS about assaulting Deanna on the bishops couch, in front of witnesses, while she was actually out of the country.

If this was all true, wouldn't the witness feel compelled to come share his heartfelt story with the jury? Why hide in the shadows?

I believe the second witness. If somehow I knew fooled me for years and then ended up killing someone, it would be hard for me to believe the person I knew could be capable of such violence. Don't change the fact that it happened though.

And Gefner is full of crap. Just because Jodi didn't lie about the sword doesn't mean she didn't lie about other things.

BBM--Well if the DT is allowed to go to very limits of reality and JSS has allowed this in, then Juan should be permitted to go through the very long list of well known criminals--such as Dahmer, who everybody said they never thought would be capable of the things he did-- with Dr. Geffner and have him opine on that.

So in a nutshell, everybody knew that TA was an abusive partner, and everybody knew JA was being abused, pretty much every minute of every day since birth. And no one in either camp really intervened?

I can see why they didn't want the mitigation specialist to read these - they make no sense. At least Geffner can honestly say the statements weren't made to him directly. Sure the words sound ridiculous, but he's just reading what he was given, told by a friend of a friend, to a third party, right?
I'd have a lot of questions as a juror, and I'd be embarrassed to say this on stand.
