Well not to you or I or probably 90 percent of the people following this trial. But this "Travis was a dog and treated JA badly" worked on at least one person in the first trial to spare her the death penalty. So they're going all out in this phase.

Big mistake is giving them any kind of a foothold on impeachment of solid prosecution witnesses who are just trying to get the truth out there. If someone is consistently messing up with the time frames, how is that any different that McWitness messing up his time frame? Just thought it would have been important for the Bishop to be absolutely sure of Jake's time living at his home before getting on that stand for cross. The mistake is by the prosecution for not checking out Jake a little more. In fact, why didn't they just supeona Jake?

Of course JM doesn't have the luck that the DT has of getting 4 day weekends in between every witness to look stuff up when there's a discrepancy.

Huge difference in accusing a older man of God, of lying about something that happened 13 years ago and a attention seeking you know what you suddenly has insider info but doesn't have the balls to come to court. Don't even compare them, it's not even close.

Martinez was not at the deposition. He reads transcript, says Parker was asked if he changed his story on the advice of his attorney.

So MM, when he was hanging around the supporter page, realized that maybe TA had been living at the house when he reported these popups to the Bishop and he emailed the Bishop to find out before starting his lies about TA? The Bishop erred because he seems a little confused (early dementia?) and told him that TA did live there around the time the fiancé was there. He thought nothing of this email or question so he did not verify the exact dates. It was the same year though. The Bishop was also rather vague about things when he talked to Nurmi. He was never called on in the first trial so that was the end of it as far as he knew.

Until now. And suddenly it became important to get the information exactly correct. He screwed up with the date Jake lived there and when the "pop ups" may have first appeared on the computer. Big mistake IMO. Unless Jake did live there between Travis and the fiancé because he was having trouble with the wife.

I hope JM clears this up.

I don't think it is a big mistake. Like the Bishop said it was 13 years ago. It would be very hard for anyone to have exact time frames that long ago with some many different guests. Juan will clear up the Jake issue and move it forward.

Is there any possibility the jury is NOT revolted by all this? I honestly can't imagine any of them thinking this assault is ok.

Unless, of course, the theory is to have the jury hating the DT so much that they go in to deliberate determined on death. Then, they are overcome with guilt for blaming her for her despicable lawyers, and over-compensate by voting LWOP. Would he gamble? Yes, IMO.

I find this absolutely an offensive comment. Ageism is alive and kicking, IMO. Like the rest of us don't have faulty memories especially from years ago? Sheesh. Perhaps he wasn't thorough enough- now that's a fair critique.

My mother got early onset Alzheimers and died of it before reaching the Bishop's age. Trust me, I know about early dementia and didn't intend to offend.
