Zenya mentioned JA wrote a suicidal letter in HS
JA wrote abt wanting 2 die in her journals
Sandy said JA would call & says she wanted 2 die

ITA

And I would chalk it up to trial reporting by Tweet, except that would be giving LKN too much credit.

Unless he's really just trying to throw everything -- all at once -- against the jury and hope it sticks to at least one of them.

Ugh what is the jury doing? Are they taking notes? Are they sleeping?

No evidence anyone got Jodi help

Noon recess until 1:25pm MST #jodiarias #3tvarias

I do wonder if JA's mom would be in court day after day for one of her other children if they had committed the crime instead of JA. Was JA considered the "favorite" of the kids and that is why her parents are still backing her? Do they just overlook all of the evil things that she did to everyone else, including to them?

On the 13th juror's blog for yesterday, he says MDLR would be the one accompanying JA to the death chamber. Is this correct? The mitigation specialist hangs out with the about-to-be-dead convict and "holds his/her hand" through the episode? No wonder JA is cozying up to MDLR!

MDLR would be drawing SS by the time they would get around to inserting a needle, never going to happen IMO. I would think that when the butcheress is sentenced, MDLR will just be a fleeting memory for CMJA. Maybe AZL can answer it for us.... yoo hoo, paging AZL. TIA.

Right, she had to hide behind the mask because the 'true reveal' would scare any man to death.

I used to think that, but so many of her family members and 'friends' described her as a chameleon.

I don't think there is a "true reveal" -- other than the one we see in the photos on June 4, 2008.

I always imagine that there is preoccupation in her expression that day.

Planning murder while posing for nekked pics will probably do that to ya.

What I personally think is the deal with BPD is that it really has more to do with the temperament of the child. I am one of six children and I have a sister diagnosed with BPD- she promptly STOPPED seeing the therapist that diagnosed her. She always blames my mom... my mom neglected her as an infant, my mom neglected her as a child yada, yada, yada. My mom pretty much neglected all of us except my oldest sibling. I think with the oldest was the only time she was happy in her marriage(s) and unencumbered with other children. That didn't last long. I have so much more to say but my most important point is we would (at least four more of us siblings) all be BPD if that was the criteria. I really think it is my SISTERS temperament that is the issue.

It's just a poor strategy. He wants to discredit Demarte on the things she said and used to diagnose Jodi. Can't have the jury thinking she is overly attached and clingy because then they will think that's how she was with Travis and they need the jury to think she was the victim in that relationship and all her relationships. They want you to accept some of what she's saying about BPDs, like feeling neglected and invalidated, abused as child, suicidal, but the rest is hogwash. Demarte diagnosed her because of her behavior and symptoms, not what her childhood was like. They want it both ways. If they had gone all in with this BPD diagnosis it would have been better instead of trying to paint her as the victim all the time and trash Travis.

It may not matter anyway. Demarte is doing a good job of generating sympathy for her, which isn't a bad thing. She's just being honest. But if she avoids death it won't be because of anything the defense did.

You're in Asia?? I'm sooooo envious. Where?

A few different countries over the years but mostly Nepal, Maldives, Japan and India. I'm currently in India. I might move back to Canada eventually. :)

so how come she thought about this much, but never went through it….she never even tried….jailed attempt doesn't count

someone who has this many suicidal thoughts would have succeeded.

Or when they wouldn't let her grow pot on the roof?

Or when she corrected their grammar and just didn't amend their oral ways?

We don't miss a thing here with our collective brains....lol.:):):):

Poor Jodi:

Simple answer. She never intended to actually follow through with it. It was a show to gain sympathy or get something that she wanted.

MOO

Is the jury supposed to believe her father watched, then told JA all about it years later?

I know, right? And then Mom confesses to Jodi that she smoked some weed within hours of giving birth to her. This trial is filled with craziness.

Who am I to second guess a psychologist, but I did raise five children. They were never spanked, or belittled, but they did understand that they had to accept responsibility for their actions. Meaning, I think, behind all the psych babble, Arias was an over-indulged child who developed a distorted sense of entitlement, amongst other nasty traits. Just my opinion.

Jodi told DeMarte she was sexually attacked by a family member when she was 5 or 6 #jodiarias #3tvarias

And yet it was the non-sexual assault she experienced from a stranger she reported to Geff. Oopsie.

Duh. Juan doesn't ask for sidebars every minute.

for goodness sake I've had a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder since I was a teenager. It's not easy and I'm difficult to live with ( ask my hubby) it's been manageable with CBT.
While I am sorry to say I can recognize some of my own personally traits in Jodi NEVER have I planned to murder a person in cold blood. Know why? cos it's wrong and I know it's wrong!! If she had an episode and picked up a cricket bat and hit Travis on the head in the moment I could possibly understand. But NO this was planned weeks in advance. Nothing to do with borderline personality disorder no no no.
It took a long time and a lot of research for me to accept this and I've never spoken about it outside my family but I had to say something here. I hope no one will think less of me for it.
I'm sorry but Jodi is just a bad un.
