Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 34

I'm still writing a book-length post on the context for T's anger on May 28, but looking up again when passwords were mentioned in her journal absolutely clinches it for me that the trigger was her FB hacking and using what she found against him.

Succinctly, the trigger was that she went into his FB account, read his FB emails to Lisa and perhaps his new "hot" gal, then one time too many tried to play the "someone told me they know dirt about you" card.

The missing email exchange between them is from the night before. She had sent "part 1" of the dirt, he replied to it. That's why the text starts off with him telling her she was too lazy to read it.

(Just before he goes off on her, she texts him "I'll tell you the other part but I need a response from you about it. Deal?)

She claims in the text she didn't receive his email (bull),but also says she'll be calling her attorney on Monday(per Chris Hughes). My guess is he told her in the email that she was causing him enormous harm by interfering with his attempts to find a wife, and that if she didn't stay out of his social accounts he was going to go after her legally.

That she didn't even bother to acknowledge his email, much less tell him the truth and promise to stay out of his accounts is what helped keep his anger flowing.

I fervently hope Det. Perry Smith is the computer forensics equivalent of Dr. DeMarte - highly skilled in his field and unflappable.

I love the way Nurmi reveals sealed stuff in unsealed stuff. It's not the first time he's done it.

You've got to be kidding me! The State of AZ is going to hire another PI for her, in this the sentencing phase, over 5 months into it, within only weeks left???!

That one genuinely blows my mind.

ETA....is a PI a standard position in a DP defendant's entourage? As in, 2 attorneys, mitigation specialist and a PI?

Hopefully its just a formality- perhaps her Bond guy fled and the State is checking off a box by putting a name down for the position?

I bet that's pretty close, and I bet that's what the jurors were being questioned about-to see if they heard anything.

What will be, will be. But I wonder what became of Dorian Bond.

I don't think Bond was ever the court-appointed investigator. I don't know who was.

I can't see how MDLR could complain when she has instigated so much in this trial.

probably her PTSD was worse after Juan cross examined her...and the humiliation in front of an audience still haunts her to this day

Clearing the court wasn't enough. The DT got JSS to ban the media completely and seal the transcripts ... iirc. It wasn't having people in court or in an adjoining room that the JA/DT feared. It was having what she said reported contemporaneously that was the problem.

I don't really understand the duty of a mitigator for JA. From every description I could find, seems the mitigator should be advising the Family of Travis Alexander. THEY are the ones who need to emotional support and explanation of the judicial process.

Then you add what he had written about the "important" women in his life, in his journal(no mention at all of JA beyond reading between the lines as to what his "lame" comments may be in reference to), to all her bs with the lies, hacking, taping him, car, etc ... and I really can't see him letting her anywhere near him ever again.
