DT says after State rests (Dworkin is last) they want to call John Smith/Sue Do Nihm/I have one and use it on 2/20 and Geffner back after 2/25. JSS said get on with this trial wants Smith/Nihm/use it here on 2/17.

That's some "getting on". She wants him in 3 days earlier than DT proposed. Why has she never checked the DT's schedule? Forced them to be timely?

If the DT had any honorable intentions, Geffner would have been told to be available on short notice through February.

AZL- what if any authority does JSS have to force the DT to bring Geff back sooner?

Call me cynical but the Judge saying 'we need to finish this trial' and actually making sure that we finish it ASAP are two different things. I'm so used to the Judge saying one thing, having a sidebar and then granting the whims and demands of the Defense. This trial will go on for another month.

I think it's just time! I think she's wanted to finish this for a while but her hands have been tied by the defense. At this point, this mitigation phase is set to take as long as the guilt phase. That is ridiculous.

This is just so disturbing to me, I mean REALLY!!! With all due respect JSS--if a sense of urgency and setting boundaries early on with all of the DT's obvious stall tactics--had this been a serious consideration all along the re-trial would have ended long before now. The whole debacle of closing the court to the public in and of itself was a colossal waste of time, not to mention attending to repeated DT BS at the expense of and without any respect for jurors. JMO

I wonder what the defense is hiding concerning the computer. Maybe the fact that CMJA probably was the one that remotely put the *advertiser censored* site on TA computer in the first place. And on June 1 the "166 site accessed" was that the 166,000 idiot Dumbneister quoted at one time; only is math is way off. And another thing that was funny was the defense computer wiz with superdupper program has a flaw. WOW.... OMG and do we really have to listen to Dr. MF and Goofner again for two days.

When I had to testify in court, I had no choice. I had to show up when the court said to and be ready for a call back at any time. I had no choice. I told my employer and arrangements were made. I don't understand this delay issue. The defense witnesses apparently knew ( from the defense lawyers) that they had to testify again, so they should have made their calendar very flexible for the month. This is just a delay tactic. I hope the judge does follow up with phone calls and tells them they need to come in and set a date at her choosing.
