BBM: :rocker: Exactly ... I agree !

If I were a juror on this case, WHO is Caylee's father would definitely enter my mind.

WHY is he NOT in court ? Let's see -- we have the defendant's grandparents and uncle in court ... but NO father ? WHY ?

And if I was a juror on this case and the "Father" was never revealed -- nor showed up in court ... I would think "something is wrong" ... "someone is hiding something" !

MOO MOO and MOO !

Agreed. If neither LA or GA are the father, the SA should make this abundantly clear. We're still scratching our heads about now after three years of discussion!

I saw that on TV. She named a man and he is dead.. They interviewed his mom and dad (who would be Caylee's other grandparents) the mom was crying, she showed baby pictures of her son and said caylee looked just like him. they were sad they did not get to know her. Of course DNA was not done on them to find some familial DNA...but it seemed genuine. Of course Casey could be lying, and finding the real father would take the work of Maurey Pauvich.. Maybe he can do a "FROM the Women's Prison of Orlando - Lawall, we will begin the search for ICA's baby daddy"

Like you, I am certain if a man was out there "alive" and thought there was any chance he was dad, he would certainly come forward.

Huh? Who were they? Who was their son? I've never heard of this before...

According to newly released depositions, Caylee Anthony's biological father signed a waiver surrendering his parental rights.
Attorney Paul Anthony Kelley said George and Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony's parents, came to him for some legal advice.
Kelley said the couple told him that their granddaughter's father "had basically taken off and was out of the picture."

Kelley said he could not recall the biological father's name, but that the Anthonys produced an obituary showing Caylee
Anthony's father died in an out-of-state car crash.

By now you know Casey Anthony is Caylee’s mother, but detectives want to know who the father is. It’s a question Casey’s own family can’t answer, but there are some clues.

Channel 9 has learned the Orange County Sheriff's Office is interested in an FHP crash report that might be a clue as to who Caylee's father actually is or may reveal another lie told by the little girl's mother.

Eyewitness News spent the day knocking on doors Monday looking for relatives and friends of Jesus Ortiz, a 21-year-old killed in a car crash. In death, he’s being dragged into the Caylee Anthony saga.

“I’ve never heard that name before,” Cindy Anthony told Eyewitness News. Caylee’s grandmother Cindy claims no knowledge of Ortiz, slthough she has said Caylee’s father was killed in a car crash. That crash investigation included a blood test for toxicology. Now investigators may use that sample in a post-mortem paternity test.

There seems to be a very interesting clue on the Internet, as well. Jesus Ortiz’s MySpace page is still online and a condolence message was left in the name of none other than Caylee Marie Anthony. Meanwhile, when Channel 9’s Jeff Deal approached the potential father’s family, they were shocked at the mere possibility that Jesus might be Caylee’s father.

“The father? No,” family members told Eyewitness News Monday.

Another possibility has been tossed around as well, that even Casey doesn’t know who Caylee’s father is and made up yet another lie about the mystery father who died in a car accident.

The medical examiner’s office said the blood is still available for a paternity test. In the crash, Ortiz was found at fault and alcohol was not involved.

As far as I can remember, this was all debunked a while back.

ETA - CA made all this stuff up and didn't have documents to back it up.

I remember this too and remember feeling incredulous that KC could be so cruel and uncaring in her lies that she would drag in the family of someone who had died in an accident. I believe that this was followed up on - without result, as usual. Who can begin to imagine the pain this family went through as a result!

moo

I think that KC's pregnancy is when the lying began. I think who ever fathered her baby and then dumped/devastated her kicked in KC's budding sociopathy into full gear.

George and Cindy never knew what hit them. And now here we are.

(And Cindy...if you are reading here...my thoughts and prayers go out to you and you family.)

I would guess that Casey's lying probably started as a young child. Lying isn't something that just begins one day after years of being truthful. She probably started out lying about little things as a way of doing what she wanted.

IMo Caylee's father won't be brought up. He has nothing to do with Caylee's death. Besides wasn't there a rumor that he died right near Caylee's birthday?

I tend to think that Caylee's biological father is probably a one-night stand. If Casey was partying in late 2004 like she was in 2008, she might have met and slept with someone who was only some guy she met at a party. She may not even know his full name. As far as the guy is concerned, he might not even remember her beyond the brunette he slept with one night.

Given the media attention this case has received, I doubt this. Nonetheless, I don't think that Caylee's father has anything to do with her death.

I find it hard to believe that any man with a half a heart would not have come forward at this point... unless he had died. If the father is alive and he knows he is Caylee's father I have very little respect for him.

I will have to ask some men about this... but I'm still not understanding what the purpose would be?

If he had a suspicion when he saw Caylee's picture on the news... but had no way to confirm it... and was concerned he might be suspected in the case (maybe had a criminal record already) if he came forward...

Then Casey was immediately arrested and they quickly made it clear they felt Caylee was dead.

After December 11, 2008... what would the purpose have been?

Say it's a guy who has since married and had another child.

What purpose would it serve him to come forward?

What purpose would it serve the Anthony's?

What purpose would it serve the state?

Other than the guy making a victim impact statement that he never knew his daughter... I can see no positive result. I CAN see the defense using him as simply someone else to blame.

This is exactly what I think too...guy has no distinct memory of her and never saw her again, so he would have no clue that he fathered a child. JMOO.

Would you still want to come forward after seeing what has happened to everyone in this case?

They have accused the man who FOUND the body.

If the father stepped forward, you don't think they would immediately try to blame him for something?

Use it on appeal as "this was information we did not have before."

What I want to know is, are there any unsolved homicides
from late 2004 - August 2007 when Casey started claiming Caylee's father was dead around her second birthday?

What if some man found out he was likely a father... and knowing the mother was unfit, decided to fight for custody?

If that man had not told people about that child prior to a DNA test, there would not be a known motive for a homicide if one occurred... now would there?

Just a thought... it wouldn't be the first time that scenario played out.

Yes I would come forward. No I don't think I would be blamed for anything. Theoretically, the pregnancy would have resulted from a one night stand, not a long-term relationship (based on her history). The only thing I would be guilty of would be having sex with this sociopath, but if the result was that she became pregnant and it was my child I would want to own it, however horrible the outcome. The "father" can't be responsible for what ICA did to the child, but IMO the father should step forward. How could a man remain anonymous knowing his daughter was murdered?

Well let's get on with the test then...

Ain't gonna happen.

KC never told the guy she was expecting as she planned on neonaticide via/or abandonment, IMO. I mean, if she wasn't planning on telling anyone she was pregnant, what do we think she was going to do when a baby magically appeared? I think she thought she could hide it like the prom girl that threw her newborn in a trashcan. But she gained too much weight and was (literally according to Rick's assessment of her belly button) outed.
By the time it was revealed she was pregnant, she may not have even been running in that guy's circle anymore. Someone out there might suspect, but as other posters noted, he can shed no light on the guilt phase.

Hypothetical:

Say the father came forward shortly after Caylee's body was found. Maybe he lived out of state and he just didn't hear about the case. A friend calls him and says "Hey, didn't you meet this chick?" And he went and looked it up. Remembers he did "date" her a few times in late 2004. Realizes the kid looks a lot like his family.

The defense finds out that he has come forward.
DNA tests prove he is the father.

Hypothetical defense opening statements...

"Caylee Anthony was conceived through a violent assault at a party. No, there was not a Nanny. Caylee was violently abducted by her biological father, the man who assaulted her mother. This man showed up unexpectedly after he learned Caylee existed. Angry he hadn't been told about his child.

Caylee's devastated and loving mother believed he was returning her in time for her birthday. She waited and stalled her family just as he told her to do. Perhaps Caylee was upset and cried for her mother and this man became angry, killing her in a fit of rage. Perhaps, he was simply destroying the evidence of his crime?"

Would it have explained all the evidence? No

Does the defense's current story explain all the evidence? No.

The biological father would have been a perfect suspect... for the defense team to try and pin it on. Obviously they are good at making up stories, they would have had many more scenarios with the biological father. :twocents:

Roy Kronk is being thrown under the bus because he found the body.

George Anthony
Cindy Anthony
Lee Anthony

All, thrown under the bus because they loved and supported their daughter/sister.

At various points other people have been thrown under the bus as well.

I can't imagine willingly admitting I was associated with Casey in anyway. The possible consequences of that could be devastating and lifelong. If they child had survived, absolutely. The child would need a father.

When the child is gone, if he has nothing to offer to the criminal case... the state isn't begging for the father to come forward... doing so would seem very self sabotaging to me. :twocents:

so if the Bio. dad is alive the defense should have tried this! much more plausible except Bio dad prob had a solid alibi....
but I like the idea.

If the biological father is alive and knows he's the father I think he's wise to stay away. He can't help Caylee at this point and would probably just be thrown under the bus by the defense and if not there'd be endless internet speculations as to why he was so irresponsible he didn't know or care that he was a dad, why he didn't seek custody or visitation and pay child support, and if only he had done this or that Caylee might still be alive. It's hard to be associated with a notorious criminal case and not be tarred by the association.

Just my opinion but. we have heard ICA had many lovers, yet no one has said she was a one night stand kinda girl. Not that she wasn't there is just no proof she was.

Yeah but you could get pregnant from your first and only one night stand, and it might not have been your intention to have an one night stand, maybe the guy just doesn't want to see you afterwards.
