Ronald Cummings Knows Where Haleigh Is: Needs $35,000 to get her back safe.

Here is my problem with the $35K thing. If it were true that RC needed $35K to pay off a kidnapper in order to get Haleigh back, safe and sound, he would have told LE and LE would have come up with the money secretly and put the swap in play a long time ago.

Further, if RC knew who the identity of the kidnapper/ransomer, all he had to do was tell LE and Haleigh would be home.

To me it sounds like a huge miscommunication/misunderstanding among the players.

Further this check written to RC is just foolish. Tell me any situation where the kidnapper releases the ransomed person and then waits for a check to be cashed. So, here's a check but first go get Haleigh and then you can have the check to cash and go pay the ransomers?

Foolish? Tim Miller just said on HLN that Roy Moffit had no problem flying to FL with cash, green dollars and would be glad to accompany RC to bring Haliegh home. That's a man who cares enough about Haleigh to put his money where his heart is.

IMO, a rather short period of time is going to show who the fool is.

Thanks for the link Amster. I think that's what we expected to hear from the lawyer. I still want to hear what TM has to say, I put his word above anyone else's in this case. I wonder what time HLN comes on MT? I"m still lost since I moved another time zone west last month.

Tim Miller would not have let it get to this point if he believed Ronald, or if he thought Ronald did not say this. And if he thought for one minute it was true.he would have made that money available and no one would have heard a word about it untill it was over.

I imagine Tim Miller is getting really tired of being a scapegoat when he is doing something so amazing with his life...finding missing children. How can anything top that? I am glad Tim is standing up for himself and not letting himself get thrown under under the "liar's" bus. He is taking this seriously, finding Haleigh. It seems those closest too her are not so serious about finding her. ThanK God for people like Tim Miller.

Hmmm, just call me a skeptic. On the fence here. There is more to this than meets the eye, we don't know everything or much at all. TM would not waste time going to these lengths on a crank Hank call alone, especially with MN's counsel ---- unless there was a key bluff being called.

Why say that RC needs to go under hypnosis as well if this was simply a mis-understanding over search money.

That would be Hank Croslin Sr., imo. Tim Miller clearly said this stems from the voice message left on his phone and never does he indicate he EVER spoke to Ronald about it. I don't think Ronald is lying. I don't think Tim is lying. I think Hank Sr. lied on purpose to put Ronald in a bad light with Tim and TES, imo. One would have to question why Hank Sr. would be interested in trying to get TES to stop searching for Haleigh.

"Misinformation" is still rather mild and vague term to me considering the circumstances; If there were nothing to it at all, why not say that it is an outright lie, or "THAT IS NOT TRUE." Say it in some unequivocal manner.

I have to agree with what Mr. Croslin said on that tape......"lets be fair, out Ron under hypnosis"......but I am aware Misty asked for those test to clear her name.

And I agree with posters who say, "if all it took was money to go get Haleigh, then why did they wait almost 7 months to tell someone they needed money to find Haleigh". But hoping Hank Sr does have witnesses to this. IMO

This has probably been mentioned before.. but isn't it more likely TM made mention to RC about the average/usual cost of a search? RC misunderstood and when relaying it to his father he assumed it to mean he himself (RC) had to pay 35k?

This just doesn't make sense. If Haleigh was being held for ransom this case would have been over 5 3/4's months ago.

It is both heartening and frightening how quickly folks will pick up and believe any statement from anyone and run with it as theories or evidence. In much the same way that there still seems to be a disturbing large number of people that seem to think that there is in fact a "Zanny the Nanny" over in KC land, some are listening to all of this and not seeing the common and self serving element.

The only person to have stated that Haley could come home of Ron would put up $35k is MISTY'S FATHER. Hardly a disinterested party in deflecting attention from his daughter. This is misdirection. Smoke and mirrors to build doubt now or raise other made up theories in order to get the blaring spotlight off LE attention off of his daughter.

It's obvious TM saw it for what it is, and is calling the bluff. If he seems to be acting a little more blunt and harsh about this sort of thing recently, good for him. He is there to serve the missing child. Not the assorted family members under a cloud of suspicion. I am sure his experiences in the Anthony case have taught him some rather painful lessons, which he is applying to this case.
