I hope this is Not true that they will be in New York City tommorrow for a morning news show! The show should be Ashamed to be a party to this. I mean this is crazy, a free trip to NYC where a hotel room is $300.00 a night and last minute airfare has to be at least $500.00 per person. So, Haleigh goes missing and they get a $2,000-3,000. honeymoon paid for by their notoriety! They will probably take in the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, maybe they will find Haleigh there.

This is all silly for them to get married at this time when Haleigh is missing.
Anyone in their right mind would not even consider getting married at a time like this when your child is missing.
They are acting like immature kids to me. This marriage will not last long.

I am not so sure that both of them do know more of what happened to Haliegh than what they are saying.
They say Haliegh wanted them to marry, to me thats insane, a child Haliegh's age always wants the daddy to bring her real mommy home, not some teen age baby sitter.
It actually wouldn't surprise me if Haleigh had said she wanted them to marry. She knew her real parents wouldn't, and I expect Misty was fun to have around as a replacement mommy.

Most importantly, Misty had only been with Ron for 4-5 months, and she probably didn't want to worry about getting attached to another mommy figure cycling in and out of her life and thought marriage would prevent it.

Children are easy to please with anything that feels stable and happy, which things usually are that early in a relationship.

Aren't there any adults in the picture that can stop these two? Don't they realize how sickening it is to do this NOW ? Their lives should be devoted to finding Haleigh, not imitating hormones with feet !

Sad, isn't it? The only adult I trusted (judging by her presentation and obvious grief) before was Ron's mother, TN. That went completely out the window with the things she's said about this wedding; her justifications for it show as profound a lack of wisdom as I would expect from kids. :bang:

I was with my step daughter (a cop and a notary in Florida) this weekend and for some reason this exact subject came up and YES in Florida a notary can marry people!! (And she has.) I was shocked! I was a notary in another state and I don't remember anything about being able to marry someone.

notaries to perform marriages. It's fairly unusual. I'm a notary where I live and am admitted to the bar automatically as an attorney but I can't perform any weddings.

Yep. Just another example of where I think most of us would have said, "Rather than buying me a gift, please donate all that money to help fund the search efforts for my daughter." (and other missing children!) :(

Just another example of people being rewarded for bad judgment, poor choices, lack of responsibility. Makes me so angry, and I'm tired of it. I'd sure love to have a romantic trip to NYC with my hubby. Appear on national TV, take in some sights, stay in a luxury hotel. What, do they think Haleigh's in NY sightseeing at the Statue of Liberty? I guess they still be "searching" for her there, right? Uh, huh.

It's about 3:25 here (CST) So I'm assuming that the marriage is a done deal by now, or well on it's way to being a done deal.

I have only this to say now, I wish you both well. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy and I pray that your little girl comes home to be with you.

But most of all I wish you luck, because I don't think you both have any clue how much luck you are really going to need to make it work.

So now this is wedding is done. What's done is done. Let's get back to finding Haleigh.

Kat, I haven't heard that they were married yet.....do we know they did? Just wondering....it's 4:29 PM here (and Satsuma)

Some people are so tacky....and I'm not just referring to the 'newlyweds'! The network execs are also tacky in 'providing' this opportunity for the honeymooners in the wake of Haleigh's disappearance! What an outrageous distraction from the issue at hand..............FINDING HALEIGH!

OK ... well, I STILL say she's being hidden and kept safe, for money, publicity, etc.

I would wish that this is true, but unfortunately I bet that if she is ever found, (and I think the guilty parties are not concerned because they know she will never actually Be found), she will have been in heaven since the night she went missing.

I haven't heard confirmation yet Truthful Lies, I came in from an errand and posted that message. In fact, I've got to run out for a few in a minute or two again.

Hi Kat, I realized after I posted that my question sounded critical =(

I was just wondering if I had missed the announcement! =)

Okay, ttyl!

How in ANY sort of way can one think this is NORMAL??? PLEASE EXPLAIN!!! Your daughter is missing with out a trace! (let's not forget the last person to see her is the one you want to marry) And you have NO suspicions....... Not pointing fingers, but da*n she didn't lose your wallet! I find it extremely hard to believe one would not have an issue with that! I KNOW I would! Then You get a tattoo in "MEMORY" of her....... But yet hoping she is coming home....... Next your going to buy a home?????????? And last but I am quite sure NOT LEAST you are getting married this week!?!?!?!??!
Okay so this was suppose to be in the works...... That is why Ron was working all the over time, right????? But can no longer work because he is to depressed??????? So now you are not working, don't have your daughter, much less a place to live! So let's get married buy a home && go to DISNEY! WHAT have you done lately to find HALEIGH??????????????? If RC is such a good father, please please explain what he has done to find his daughter????????????????? And not to mention the way Misty was acting about the ring!!! WOW how we get over thing QUICKLY!!!!!!
Maybe he proposed to her to SHUT her UP!!!????!!!! I know this sounds so bad but what else could possibly be next???????????????? JMO JMO JMO

I didn't read as critical Truthful Lies :blowkiss: I took it as you were wondering if the deed had been done yet and did I have a linkipoo :)

Looks like the last flight out of Jacksonville (closet airport?) is at 7:55pm, so unless they are married and on the way to the airport already, I don't see how they will be in NYC tommorrow morning anyway...JetBlue has one from Orlando at 8:55p, so maybe ?

:praying:
As much as I'm praying you're right april, I can't shake the woman's yelling overheard on the am Haleigh goes missing, nor do cadaver dog hits leave me w a good feeling. Seems the happy couple knows--for one reason, or the other--that there is no point in postponing their wedding bells.

Jholi, AJenn omg, anybody else getting wierd flashbacks, "I'll steal, I'll lie, I'll get a tat, I'll get married and go on an all expense paid honeymoon or whatever it takes to find my daughter..."

:parrot:

I agree with you. Children ALWAYS want their parents to get back together.
