Victim 6 begged Sandusky to seek forgiveness from Jesus.

Jerry (and the Missus) don't believe that he has done anything wrong, so why would he ask for forgiveness? JS will continue to proclaim his innocence until the day he dies and, upon meeting his Creator face to face, insist that there was a conspiracy against him and that he is a good man who only cared about "helping" wayward youth.

Whatever, Jerry

Christi Paul just said that Sandusky's lawyers have said they won't contest the violent predador part, even though they don't agree with it. They said that they agreed that was what the specialists say.

JS and his lawyers like this even tho he denies what he is, because he will be kept separate from general pop and receive 'treatment', not that it will do any good..

IMHO, that means that when he's, oh, 88, IF HE SHOWS REMORSE, he MIGHT get out on probation and listed as a violent sex offender.

Nope and thank goodness...MIN. of 30 years.....68+30=98, I believe....so unless he lives past that or wins on appeal, he's in for the long haul....and from the looks of ol jer today, don't think he will make it.....

Jer looks really angry

LOL I keep forgetting about that Grand Conspiracy against Jer :floorlaugh:

I am sooooo glad something hit him today that nobody believes his ridiculous lies and justifications and delusions of conspiracy vs himself....deal with it jer, the kids had to deal with what you did to them all during their childhood with no help, at least you're an adult and have the support of your everloving wifey.....the fool....

Good, that's Jerry Sandusky dealt with.

Now for the rest of the people who enabled him to get away with it for years.

Can't wait to see Curley and Schultz convicted too! and I really, really want Graham (I am so great and untouchable) Spanier charged and on trial too!

I am sooo happy for the Victims who chose to speak. They got their moment to look him in eye and say what they needed to say. God Bless them all.

They are and have been very courageous men and I hope they feel vindicated and can get some peace of mind that their unrepentant abuser will not be able get away with his lies anymore....They have the power now!

Jer is what 68? So almost 70. My understanding is he must serve 30 years minimum. I think the only way he will ever leave Prison will be in a pine box:moo:

Yep. I knew that was going to be the case. No way was Pennsylvania going to let such a high profile predator leave prison alive.

I wasn't worried for a minute.

It is a happy day!

They will be remembered for their courage in coming forward as adults, not for the assaults they endured on their bodies and their psyches as children.

Victim 1:
“He smiled and smirked his way through the legal proceedings. Through the end he wanted to manipulate the system and the victims. There is no remorse, only evil.”

The victims might not want cameras in the courtroom.

I'm happy this was not televised - at least that the victims were not. They have been through enough and I'm glad they can retain some kind of anonymity.

More like 98!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry Sandusky gets 30-60 years for child sexual abuse

By Mark Scolforo
Associated Press

Bellefonte, Pa. — Jerry Sandusky was sentenced Tuesday to at least 30 years in prison — effectively a life sentence — in the child sexual abuse scandal that brought shame to Penn State and led to coach Joe Paterno's downfall.

A defiant Sandusky gave a long, rambling statement in which he denied the allegations and talked about his life in prison and the pain of being away from his family.

Three victims spoke, often fighting back tears. One looked Sandusky in the eyes at times during his statement.

The 68-year-old former Penn State assistant coach was found guilty in June of 45 counts of child sexual abuse, convicted of molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period. Witnesses said Sandusky used the charitable organization he founded for troubled children as his personal hunting ground to find and groom boys to become his victims...

He really thinks he'll pull one over on the almighty? "Look God, I know you like to think you know everything, but your wrong about me."

HLN is doing an hour of coverage on this now.

I just saw a brief clip that I came in late too, but it appears NG is disgusted by this light sentence. I have to agree. He'll die in prison, but what does the sentence really say?

Would like to know how this Curley and Schultz are feeling about their upcoming hearings after today.

I believe they will take a plea deal before trial if the State offers one.

OOps! I think they said they'd talk about it at the top of the hour. They're doing other stuff now.

That was the audio he released last night. I am sure he expounded on the topic at the sentencing hearing. I call it unmitigated gall, among other things that would get me a time out.
My fault. Read the headline wrong. Should have known better as I was the one who posted the text of last night's statement. D'oh!

And I'm the one who added 68 + 30 and got 88! (I have since corrected my awful math!):great:

According to HLN NG and JVM will be all over this tonight.

Make that 98, he's 68 now...
