That's some of the reasons I can't get past thinking what I do... Their "story" is too weird...but yet at the same time what would have been their motive in causing to happen whatever happened to BD... And then that's why I go back to the stranger abduction theory...

If we are dealing here with a psychopath or psychopaths, the motive might just be "because I/we could."

I definitely agree. Psychopaths & sociopaths usually don't need a motive in like we think of the term motive - they do it just because...it may be fueled by anger/rage or something else or maybe even doing it just for the rush/thrill.

And the above is another thing that pulls me towards stranger abduction. Somewhere in my mind I strongly feel that whoever the perp/perps are have done this before or something very similar and know the area well.

Even if the stories some of us have read via the various boards (Topix, FB, MDS, etc.) are true about PB he comes across as a hardcore party guy, player, who may do some things that are not kosher...but to go as far as to harm someone in any way...idk. Oh it's possible, I'm not ruling it out.

But the other thing I have to wonder...was there some kind of accident and people freaked? Or did they just realize that BD was missing and thought they would be blamed since there was apparently underage drinking and the possibility of drug use has been mentioned.

Exactly on the 4 other alibi's...and then if they went to a college party...there should have been many more alibi's putting ALL 5 of them in a spot with some kind of time frame...and I haven't seen in any news article that there are any other independent witnesses...

I would assume that frat party would mean a college party either hosted by a frat or at the very least at a frat house and involving the frat's members.

A college party probably simply means a party in which most of the attendees were college students and necessarily fraternity members.

BRADENTON - The Bradenton family of a missing girl is hoping to get the word out again this weekend.
17-year-old Brittanee Drexel disappeared on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina back in April. She is from New York State, but has many family members in Bradenton.
This weekend, they are having a poker run. They will make several stops throughout Manatee County and Lakewood Ranch.
Poker Run:

Was it ever determined exactly when BD & "friends" arrived at MB? I have heard they left NY on Wed. and arrived in MB sometime on Thurs. And I've also heard they left NY on Wed and arrived in MB on Wed.

JO says BD spent a lot of time away from them and was with PB...

PB says he didn't know what BD did all week...

The girls supposedly went to Club K on Thurs. They boys say they didn't meet up with BD until Fri night at Club K.

It's been talked about all of this time BD "spent away"... Just how much time could that have been??? It's not like BD had been there all week.

We know BD was at Club K one of those nights (maybe both?) and we know she was on the beach at some point with the people she came with since there are beach pics of them. She was on the beach for a bit on Sat. with PB & crew and then she leaves and doesn't see them again until sometime after 8:00 PM - so there is approx 8 hours BD wasn't with PB...who was she with then? The girls? Someone else?

What was she doing all day Fri.? Apparently not with PB according to what he and his friends said... Club K doesn't open until 10:00 PM... And if BD didn't meet up with him until Fri. evening and none of them knew she was there until then...Where was she spending her time???

And that goes as well for Thurs. Can't hang with someone who says they didn't know she was there...

Just some thoughts...

So many questions, so few answers... I wish LE would open up about the investigation... They don't have to show all their cards so to speak, but give us SOME clue as to what their investigation has offered up, what they have been able to prove/disprove, what is THEIR most likely scenario based on the evidence- ya know?

I have wondered if the LE treated either PB's room or the one BD had been staying in with the girls as if there could have been a crime committed in either room. Maybe I have watched too much CSI on TV, but it seems to me at the very least their cars should have been checked out thoroughly. I do realize at the time she was reported missing, no one was sure whether a crime had been committed, (and no one can be sure of that even now) but seems to me that should have been ruled out at least in the hotel rooms. I think I did read that PB had submitted DNA or was prepared to submit DNA and I think his car was searched. As tight-lipped as LE has been to date, I doubt we would know if they did check these things out. Also, how thoroughly are possible sightings checked out if they are reported in another city/state besides MB. I know some were reported in the beginning and I was just wondering when a tip would come in, how far would they go to check it out?

I realize we have been over some of these things before, but I am fresh out of ideas currently and just hope if we throw some things out...maybe at least somebody will think about something we have not brought up before.

Apparently neither room was treated as a crime scene - as JH was allowed to enter both rooms. Also BD's items left behind in her hotel room were given to JH by LE.

One of the articles I quoted a few posts back states that JH was in both rooms.

And early on neither room was ever deemed a crime scene... My best guess is because LE thought BD was a runaway and didn't take this as seriously as they should have.

Other articles have stated that both vehicles were searched and nothing was found. Maybe I watch too many of the crime shows on Discovery ID and TruTV - but I believe the 2 vehicles involved should have been impounded until LE decided what was going on with this case. Same goes for each of the hotel rooms. Neither should have been touched.

The vehicle that PB traveled to MB in was not his car. I am not sure who it belonged to - but it wasn't PB.

I believe the vehicle that BD traveled in belonged to JO - not 100% sure about that though.

According to one of the articles - there was a quote by JP, PB's attorney, that he had submitted a DNA test.

I'm sorry, but respectfully, I don't see how that equates into BD spending a lot of time with PB.

The only way we are going to know how much time BD spent with PB is if there are several more video tapes showing BD entering and exiting BWR - or if BD herself turns up and answers that question.

The only other way I can see anyone knowing exactly how much time BD spent with PB is if that person was with both of them.

I am sure if the police had seen anything suggesting a crime in either room, they would have processed the rooms. Nothing happened in the rooms against Brittanee, she disappeared after leaving the BWR; outside.
At least this is what all the information is leading us.

I think we would do better brainstorming to figure the events from the time she left BWR. What are some possibilities?

***Investigators from the MBPD met w/a family friend of BD on Sat upon the request of the girl's mother. JH says he last made contact w/BD on Sat around 8 pm***


***JH told R News BD's bf, JG, 1st informed him of BD's disappearance in the early hrs of Sun morning through a text message from ROC.***

***JH found all of BD's belongings still inside her hotel room. JH also reports he found clothes & liquor inside PB's hotel room.***

***"When the police officer & I checked out the room, we did find beer cans & such in the room," JH said.***

***According to a MB police report, PB spoke to an officer on the phone & said the last time he spoke to BD she was walking back to the BH from the BWR.***

***According to PB’s atty, JP, PB met BD at a party last Sat & was later at his hotel room w/his friends. JP says BD left his client’s room to return to her gf's hotel but hasn’t been heard from since***

***At about 8:45 pm, BD sent a text to 1 of her travel companions, informing the companion that she was on her way back. What happened to BD after that remains a mystery.***

***When BD failed to return phone calls from her friends, they became concerned & notified others that BD was missing.***

***Those boys say BD left their hotel around 8 pm. Later that night, that group of boys left MB & headed back to NY***

***Several hrs later, sometime after 8 pm, BD, who had been in SC for several days unbeknownst to her mother, met w/a friend from ROC & some older guys she had been hanging around for the past 2 days. According to the friend, PB, BD left his hotel room shortly after 8 pm. He was the last person known to have seen her***

***BD, a Gates Chili Jr., headed to MB last Wed w/out her parents' permission. JO said she & the others on the trip did not know that BD had gone w/out permission.***

***According to witness statements from young men who were staying at the BWR, BD went to their motel room about 8 pm Sat but left about 10 minutes later to return an item of clothing to a friend with whom she had traveled.

JO said she last heard from BD, via text, about 8:45 pm. In that message, BD told JO that she was on her way back to the motel.

AG said her son, JG, 19, who has been dating BD for more than a yr, suspected something went wrong Sat night. She said the 2 teenagers texted each other until about 8 pm. Then after 2 to 3 hrs w/out communication w/BD, he started to worry.***

***They say they haven't been able to trace a cell phone signal since early in their investigation & there has been no ATM or debit card activity in the 17 yr olds account, meanwhile other leads have come up short.

Surveillance photos were released by police of BD Sat night - the last night she was seen - entering & leaving the BWR. She left there about 8:45 that night***

***As the BD missing person case nears its 6th day since the teen was last seen in MB the police are poring over hotel video surveillance footage & following up on new leads. BD was last seen Sat around 8 pm. She was reported as missing at 5 am the next morning by a family friend concerned that her friends had not heard from her for several hrs***

***On Thurs, Knipes released hotel surveillance photos showing BD entering the hotel of several male friends around 8:25 pm Sat. About 15 minutes later, she is captured leaving the BWR, & is not seen again on surveillance video, Knipes said***

***BD met a friend from NY & 3 men Fri at Club K, according to a police report. She briefly met them again around midday Sat on the beach, & again around 8 pm that night, police said***

***Monroe Co. Sheriff's Office investigators interviewed PB while a MB police sergeant asked questions via conference call***

***She left after receiving a call from another girl angry that BD was wearing her shorts, JP said. PB & his friends then went to a party at a local college.***

***Investigators have also tracked her cell phone, Knipes said***

***“I last talked to her Sat around 2:00. Her bf spoke to her around 8:00,“ DD said. “She sent a text to 1 of her friends around 9:15 pm & said she was going to see another friend who was staying at another hotel. She never came back,“ DD said. “It’s been almost 48 hrs, & I’m really worried. We need everyone to be looking out for her.“***

According to his lawyer, PB is helping MB Police w/their investigation. "We're doing every single thing to help find BD & at the same time convince everybody PB has been treated unfairly from the beginning," said JP.

***BD actually came to PB's hotel room to pick up the ff’s. "That was some of the text messages I left my ffs there I got to get them so she showed up around 7:55," said JP.***

***According to JP, Monroe Co. Sheriff investigators have searched the car PB & his friends rode back to ROC in. They didn't find anything suspicious & have since released the car to the owner. On Sat it will be 1 week since BD disappeared.***

***DD said she heard from her daughter Thurs, Fri & Sat, but BD never told her she was in SC. On Sat, DD said, BD told her she was at the beach, but since it was 80 degrees that day in ROC, DD figured BD was referring to an area lake***

***The others, according to a police report, told detectives that they had only met BD, through PB, the night before at a night club. None of them, he said, are considered POI’s at this time.***

***PB's lawyer, JP, told ABCNews.com that BD began hanging out w/the men after several disagreements w/the friends she was traveling with***

***After BD left the hotel, JP said, the men went to a nearby college party, but left shortly after. Since they had to check out of the hotel the next morning anyway, they decided to just leave then and get a head start on their trip.***

***MB Police have released another piece of video that shows the last known hr of missing 17-yr-old BD. The video show her walking southbound on OB around 8:15 in the evening on Sat 4/25.***

***Police say that's around the same time a group of men from near her hometown in NY last saw the missing teen, as well. MB Police say they are satisfied after questioning PB, PW, MA & KC.

Questioning revealed BD made additional contact w/the group of men at an area of beach near the BWR around 11 am Sat. Police confirmed w/surveillance video that BD met the group a 2nd time in their hotel room later that night.***

***Investigators said earlier in the week that a cell phone signal from BD's phone was traced to a cell tower in the N Santee River area. Capp said the cell phone was active Sat night into Sun but that there has been no activity on it since.***

***But around 8:15 pm, BD got a call from 1 of her gf's at the BH. That friend wanted BD to return a pair of shorts, so BD left BWR & was heading to BH, but according to police she never made it.***

***So far police have only been able to question PB by phone, as he left before officers were told of BD's disappearance, local police spokesman Capt. David Knipes told Fox News***

***BD, 17, of ROC was last seen leaving the BWR around 8:45 pm on 4/25, but no one has heard from her since***

***JG was possibly the last person to communicate w/BD. JG sent her a text & she never responded. He broke the news to her family that she was in MB & missing. “Once I talked to her friends I found out that she walked back to her hotel alone & that was the last contact I had w/her & that's when I knew something was wrong.”***

***The bf of a NY teen who disappeared on spring break in MB said someone knows what happened to her, but he doesn't believe the male friends she visited there are involved.***

***But JG said he doesn't think PB is involved in whatever happened to his gf.***

***BD disappeared around 8:45 pm on Sat 4/25 & according to MB Police, a signal from BD's phone was beamed to a tower near the Santee rivers in G’town Co a few hrs later. There was an additional signal beamed to the same tower on Sun but there has been no activity since.***

***BD was last seen leaving the BWR around 8:45 Sat night. Surveillance video shows her leaving alone. Police are still treating this as a missing person's case, but as more time passes the tougher it is for the family to stay positive***

***TVF, a friend, said she talked to BD about 3-4 times a week for the past 4 yrs. TVF said she did not know BD was coming to MB & said she didn't see a "big change" in BD's emotions in the last yr.***

***At about 8 pm on 4/25, BD left the BH where she was staying w/some girl friends, to go to the nearby BWR to see PB***

***But he doesn't think the group of boys is involved in her disappearance, he added. "I don't believe he had anything to do w/BD's disappearance," JG said. "I do believe there are people out there who know what happened to her."***

***The searchers are scouring areas around the N. Santee River community in southern G'town Co for any signs of BD. The ROC native was on Spring Break in MB when she vanished around 8:45 pm Sat 4/25, after leaving the BWR on OB.***

***PB says he's being singled out. As to why he & his friends checked out of the hotel at 2 am Sun he said it's a long drive home & all along they planned to leave early, even packing before they went out on Sat night.***

***She wasn't there long, he recalled, because she got a call from 1 of her friends who was a little mad at her for wearing her shorts, so she headed back to her hotel room. PB said that he was surprised that she didn't seem mad that she had to go back because she had just walked a mile to his hotel room.***

***What started out as a 5-mile search radius turned into more than double that by late this week. Exhaustive foot, horse, dog, & ATV searchers were conducted for almost 2 weeks in the area, but searchers came up short every time.***

***“My personal opinion is that she’s not in this area,” BD’s bf JG said. “I believe they are searching for clues to where her stuff was last located.”***

***JG & BD have dated for the past 3 yrs. He was the last person to speak w/her. “We were mid conversation about what she was going to do that night,” JG added. “I knew once I didn’t receive a response from the text I sent her, I knew something was up.”***

***BD's father, JK, of Tampa, FL, said he and BD had reunited just 18 months ago. "It was love at 1st sight," he said. "Now she's gone again. It breaks my heart." He said BD planned to visit him in FL this summer.***

***On Sat 4/25, at about 8:45 pm, BD was seen leaving the BWR on OB in MB. A friend reported her missing to police the next day.***

***At about 8 pm on 4/25, BD left the BH where she was staying w/some gf's, & headed to the nearby BWR to see friend PB.***

***“It’s seems to me that someone took BD. Either she got in the car willingly or may have met somebody here that maybe she trusted that she was hanging out w/since that Wed when she came down to SC,” DD told Dr Phil.***

***PB appeared on the show w/his attorney, JP, who told Dr Phil that PB talked BD into staying before she decided to leave the BWR where she met PB & a few of his friends.***

***“I’m on spring break. I’m not there to baby sit anybody & I don’t know BD like that,” PB replied.***

***That evidence includes surveillance video, interviews, even text messages***

***BD was "in a decent mood" the night she disappeared on Spring Break. That's according to the young man from Webster who was the last person to see the 17-yr-old Chili teen, who went missing in MB.***

***PB appeared w/his atty, JP, who was quick to point out that PB had fully cooperated w/police. PB said that BD said she told him she may call later if he wanted to party & despite an apparent phone argument w/a friend, didn't seem too upset. PB also said that she didn't mention plans to go out to meet anyone that night.***

***"I'm on spring break. I'm not babysitting anybody," said PB. "She was there w/how many different friends? I don't know what she was doing all week."***

***Dr Phil then had PB tell about the last time he had seen BD. He said she had walked over to his hotel room & they had just begun watching the Red Sox baseball game when she got a call & began arguing w/1 of the friends she had went to MB w/over taking a pair of shorts that belonged to her friend. He said he asked if she wanted him to drive her home & she declined. PB said that last time he saw her was when she left the hotel room at a little after 8:00 pm.***

***BD met a friend from NY & 3 men 4/24 at Club K, according to a police report. She briefly met them again around midday 4/25 on the beach, & again around 8 pm that night, police said.***

***DD has worked out a theory, & it's not a pleasant one.***

***"From Wed to Sat, she was by herself a lot. Somebody was probably watching her. & ended up either, she got in the car w/somebody, that she thought she knew, just from meeting them there, or, they took her," said DD.***

***The 17-yr-old's disappearance has taken a toll on her family. Her father was sobbing during the vigil. Many of her friends came to support 1 another. However, the girls BD went on vacation w/did not go to the vigil.

"I knew they weren't gonna show up," said BD's best friend Tara Friedman. She was 1 of the first people to get the call that BD was missing. "I just miss her. She's alive. Until I am proven otherwise, she is alive," said TF.***

***BD was last seen as she left the BWR in MB on 4/25. The last place her cell phone gave off a signal was on the Charleston/G'town Co line the night she disappeared.***

***A veteran MB police officer said the investigation into the disappearance of a NY teen in Apr has circumstances "that are different than any that I've worked since I've been here," but would not reveal the details.***

***"We're looking at every person, every possible scenario because we don't want to cross anything out prematurely until we have some type of physical evidence to tell us otherwise," Crosby said.***

***“Somebody knows she got into a vehicle. Somebody must have seen her on the 25th, the day she went missing, between 8 at night or 9:30 because that last cell phone ping was in McClellanville. We just don’t know if somebody took the cell phone & threw it & took her in the opposite direction. We just don’t know where she is,“ said CW.***

***Detectives say they are continuing to work on the case, but right now there are no suspects & no POI‘s. They have said in the past that they consider the case to be an abduction & not a runaway.***

***Almost from the very beginning detectives theorized BD was abducted & feared she was in danger. During the 1st few weeks of her disappearance, police & volunteer searchers w/the CUE Center for Missing Persons initiated exhaustive searches.***

***Investigators followed several leads in the initial search & even identified a POI, but never arrested anyone.***

***"We will be planning in the Fall, a large-scale search, & I don't want to disclose the area, but we will bring in multiple teams & quite a few hundred people to conduct the search effort," said MC, of CUE Center for Missing Persons.***

I am sure if the police had seen anything suggesting a crime in either room, they would have processed the rooms. Nothing happened in the rooms against Brittanee, she disappeared after leaving the BWR; outside.
At least this is what all the information is leading us.

I think we would do better brainstorming to figure the events from the time she left BWR. What are some possibilities?

One thing I would like to know... When BD texted JO at 8:45 to tell her she was on her way back to the BH, did JO text BD back and tell her that they weren't at the BH but at the Boardwalk?

If that transpired did she ask one of them to come and pick her up or did she see PB & Crew (or any of them) exiting the BWR and ask them (or one of them) for a ride? Or did she just simply get into someone's car when they asked if she needed a lift?

Did BD begin walking and encounter someone else she may have known (from home) or someone she had met briefly while during her stay at MB?

Did BD stop by one of the other hotels where other "friends" were staying?

Did someone lure BD into one of the parking garages that enters/exits directly from OB?

Did a cabbie or a police officer see her walking - knew she shouldn't be walking the strip alone and offer to take her back?

Did someone just walk up to her with a gun or knife and tell her if she screamed he'd kill her right there?

I would hope she didn't get into a car with someone she didn't know or barely knew.

But that doesn't mean the possibility should be eliminated.

I don't remember anything being stated that she texted JO saying she was on her way back, because I thought supposedly she was going to another friend's hotel. It was said that she made that text in reference to going to another friend's hotel, but it hasn't been verified that I have seen.

Her encountering someone that she met briefly while at MB or from home, could be a possibility.

I don't think she made it to another hotel, by what the articles say. She was gone soon after leaving the BWR. The police reviewed the tapes and came up with the 7 min. time line because she wasn't seen on the next camera she should have been seen on in either direction. Per the article.

As for the last post about a text to someone else:
It was completely ignored because it didn't exist. There was no text to someone stating that she was going to another hotel. There was the text to JO about her returning at 8:45 and all others were w/JG. He was alarmed and called DD because in the 3 years that he has known her she has always responded immediately and this time she didn't. Also given the content of her last text he knew that she would be following up w/something else. Given those 2 things and no response from her, he knew something was wrong.
