Re: Heather being left handed based on how she wears a watch and carries her purse.
I am right handed, wear a watch everyday on my right wrist (I know this is not common-who made the watch rule anyway that it's supposed to be worn on your left wrist?), and I carry my purse on my right shoulder. So I don't think we can glean anything from this information.

Have I missed a post?
I posted that I observed Heather wore her watch on her right wrist while learning to drive stick shift which isn't the norm. There isn't a rule but isn't the norm from what I believe to be the usual for the majority of peeps.
I went on to say that my husband, although he's right handed, does the same - wears his watch on his right wrist.

How did Heather being left handed enter the conversation? Is she?
I'm asking because I think I read every post and didn't see the left handed or right handed topic being discussed unless it was mentioned in relation to how HE was carrying the largish bag on her right shoulder.

The fact that Heather had the watch on her right wrist is lucky in that it allows us to examine the time the picture was taken (assuming the watch was set and working).

What information are you referring to that we cannot glean from iyo?
Either I missed something or I don't understand. Thanks.

Lol I did not know people wore watches anymore...JK, do not want to start another whole conversation here.

I give up! someone post the missing poster... I'm on my phone and can't find it...

See my post above. Didn't know how to copy the poster so I posted a link to it.

For people that live in snow, myself, 55 is paradise. We embrace it. We love it. We are in the negatives constantly. It is actually usually the opposite. When you go to warmer climates, the cooler it gets, the more clothes people put on because their body isn't used to the temperature. As I mentioned we have homes in two states. CA and the Midwest. Our CA doesn't dress like that at 55. Heck, they barely dress like that anywhere in the 60's.

Just launching off this post to say - if anybody wants to freeze, or stay cooler, or wear fewer clothes, go ahead.

The point of the discussion about HE's outfit and her watch (especially the time noted) is to make sure the picture was taken the same night it was sent to TE.

If Heather was alive and well, I don't care if she was wearing a bikini.
Some of us are looking for clues and notice a few things that seem to be off.
Worth checking out imo.

I noticed in more than a few of HE pics she smokes (green) Camel cigs. I wonder if any butts were found around her car to say if she spent any time there or just dropped the car there.
She may have recently quit - which could be a possible reason for some of the weight gain.

does anyone know what is written behind her at the TK?
is it a whole word? a saying? just curious.

Not sure if I get what all the talking about the pic that she sent to her dad that night.
It is not a selfie, someone took that pic, I have to assume it was her date. I also have to assume LE have questioned him and asked if he took that pic. I also have to assume if that was not the pic that he took of her he would have stated that to LE.

Possibly, but best not to assume anything.
A few peeps have called the tip in just in case there's been an oversight.

If I was tied to this case in a questionable manner, I would not be able to look at those photos and not submit to a poly, answer any question asked of me and get my kids out of dodge until things settled down or there was closure.

I have lost a child under similar/different circumstances and anyone who taunts a family in the midst of that kind of pain is beyond cruel. MOO.

Are you talking about the OM and wife taunting the Elvis' or reverse? I am completely confused?

Honestly I really do feel like it is from that night. BUT, it perhaps isn't. Possibly it is a pic from Heather inside OM's truck from months before and TE and LE have decided to release it in the public's view to enrage OMW every time she see's it figuring she will eventually crack? It seems that all MSM "evidence" and/or statements have been calculated.

I imagine it is from that night, too...

But... Your theory here is very intriguing...

I have been given the ok from Salem to sleuth what appears to be the cap on the dashboard in the photo.... which was originally posted in the XOJane article.

I am of the opinion that it may be a girl's baseball cap. I know I wore them myself at that age. Another poster mentioned it looked like a Peanut's character on the last thread (can't recall if it was Snoopy or Woodstock)

Here are the images I ran past Salem, which were given the green light to start the conversation:

The point I'm trying to make is that the cap could be Heather's. I hesitated to post about this, because the cap would have been off limits if it wasn't hers. The mods are in agreement that the cap is "fair game" now that we can see that it's a girl's cap.

ETA: the Peanut's images are posted for comparison of the silver embroidered logo. I also noticed it matches her silver & white watch (accessories match from a fashion perspective FWIW) - sorry if I didn't make that clear :blushing:

Thanks for posting. It has been said so many times, it has become almost a cliche, but I simply cannot imagine the pain that this family is experiencing. I am new to this site having stumbled upon it by reading up on several young girls who went missing over 30 years ago from my hometown in PA and still have not been found.

I have long had an interest in understanding how a person could take another's life. I just cannot wrap my brain around how they can watch someone suffer the pain and see the terror in their eyes as they watch them take their last breath. I don't understand how they callously dispose of the body to cover their tracks. I don't know how they go on with life as if nothing ever happened. How they sleep at night and not wake up with nightmares of what they have done. I cannot imagine how they don't see the permanency of what they have done. Don't they realize that we are all given a short time on earth that we get one life and they just took it away from someone...for ever.? Do they think about that by taking one life, they have destroyed the lives of countless others. How it ruins each and every day for their family and friends? Have they thought through in their selfish minds the repercussions of getting caught and spending day after day for years sitting in a dangerous prison?

As a father of 3 young children, it scares me to think about these cases. I try to put myself in TE's place and wonder how I could survive. I think it literally could be the worst pain anyone could suffer. How could I ever stop looking? How could I ever eat, sleep, or return to work.? I just don't know. I respectfully think it's worse not being able to find someone than finding them with the worst result, but maybe that's just me. I am not religious, but I have been blessed with a very strong conscience and a great deal of empathy. I thank my parents for that and pray that I can help instill it in my children. I think empathy is so important yet I rarely see it valued nor the lack of it even noticed.

Although some people around me may sometimes think it is odd that I am drawn to these cases, I think most recognize it is empathy that brings me here. I suspect that is why many of you are here too. Keep up the good work. You are all amazing.

BTW, there is a picture of Heather wearing glasses and making a face that I have seen. She looks like her mom.

Kimi, I actually did a little minor sleuthing when it first came up, because I thought it looked like a hornet. But couldn't find anything (I was hoping to find it and settle the hat v. purse debate lol.)

Possibly Snoopy with a surfboard?

It's initials, but just wondering if it matters....[modsnip]. Not making any accusations, but well, I'd like to see the original photo.
