TM and SM were in Atlanta, GA at some point according to one of their FB page posts. I don't recall the dates. Banks county would be about a 5 hour drive.

The remains were found just off I-85 at GA441, and one of the driving routes Googlemaps recommends for getting to Atlanta is going through Columbia and Greenville. That would take you right past that junction.

I think it's extremely unlikely to be her. That location looks like it's directly north of Athens and probably somebody missing from there. But it's not impossible.

How do you load the new posts if you don't refresh? That's the only way to see new posts and comments.
Its been especially bad today....I have trouble staying on. I can't get my replys to go through. I get kicked out. It's been tough all afternoon.

 I think Lambchop was trying to say when everyone refreshes at the same time and often....

LOL...Lambchop said, "Please don't refresh!" I was like, What?! My career on Websleuths would be very short without refreshing. I love that refresh action, ya know? It keeps things....going.:drumroll:

Plus don't refresh. Admin has said it does slow everything down if a lot of people are doing it.

We had trouble with this during the Anthony trail (trial) - if you set your preferences to 100 posts per page you don't have to refresh as often and that helps the board run smoother. Thanks LambChop (good to see you!)

Sorry softail. That's why I put ????? After it. Guess the cop doesn't have good info.

I hit the new post button instead of refresh. That way I don't miss anything. lol

my heart just stops, for real skips a beat when I think of how Heathers blood must have run cold... however it played out, you know there was a defining moment when that precious young lady realized it was not going to end well.

I hope she haunts them.

How do you update if you don't refresh? I think WS has an issue they need to fix.

I set mine to show 200 posts per page. A whole lot less refreshing is needed.

I posted this in the media thread. FYI....

Texas donor helps pay for Heather Elvis search

Nicole Carney was heartbroken when she learned that Horry County police have charged two people with the murder of Heather Elvis.

Like thousands of others, she had held out hope that Heather Elvis would be coming home to her family.

Carney had played a major role in the search for Elvis over the last couple of months, even though she lives hundreds of miles away in Texas.

Monica Caison, founder of the CUE Center for Missing Persons, a Wilmington, N.C. group that’s assists in missing persons cases, said Carney has been the sole source of funding for CUE’s search for Heather

"Thanks for what you do Monica Caison; The Searcher, and Nicole Carney; Researcher"!

Heather's roommate: I thought more "in the know" posters could add to this or correct what I may have wrong.
Heather received a disturbing call from SM that caused her to cry around 2:00 or so am. At least after her date (who has been cleared) dropped her off?

Heather then calls her roomie crying to talk about the call.

Heather seemed distraught.

Mentions to roomie that she was going to meet up with SM?

Roomie doesn't hear from Heather again.

I hope I have that right. There is some confusion that Heather called her roomie crying to say her date had gone well. I thought she only called the roomie after she received the call from SM after the date was already over?

Thanks in advance.

Also, I could be wrong but doesn't the page refresh when you thank people? Is it better to jump off the thread and go elsewhere like your UCP or something?

I forgot this option. Good to see you by the way. It is LittleBitty35 from all that jazz. Just new handle. They merged my account under Bittiness39. How do you do that? I forgot. :(

No problem. :) It just bugs me to see stuff like that for a couple of reasons.

1- I would hate for something like that hurt the investigation because someone "leaked" something they were not supposed to. Then somebody else who thinks they have "scoop" blab it everywhere. I would hate to see the PD accused of any impropriety. Defense attorneys have a field day with that kind of stuff.

2- To me, it is like yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. So many people are interested in this case, they get their emotions all jacked up. Then nothing. :sigh:

IMO - Rumors just don't belong here period! I didn't post about it this morning because it pissed me off. So, I :shush:

I go back a page, then view first unread. Does the same thing. :)

I just when to my CP and turned off all your sigs too!

And, at the bottom, I marked all forums as read.

I don't see how LE does their jobs....just to realize that these two know where Heather is. They know but won't tell. It would take a lot to treat them according to the laws of the land.
