Does anyone think TCM or SM did talk, but they couldn't find Heather's body? Or is that just wishful thinking?
Thee are plenty of restaurant jobs along the Grand Strand. The restaurant does not really determine how much money you make. How good of a waitress/server you are (and sometimes how attractive you are depending on clientele) determines your income. It's just odd that Amber and Heather both worked at TK here. Briana DID NOT work at TK in MB. She worked at the Columbia location (about 3 hour drive from MB)
Interesting thought you brought up about leaving the car and not putting it in the water. There have been at least 2 people to run off of PTL in their cars and drown since I have been alive. It is very dark down there and the road runs right into the river. Anyone that has lived here long enough like TM for instance would know about the deaths/accidents in the past. They could have easily drowned her, put her in her car and ran it off into the water, and possibly gotten by with murder. So why didn't they???

Wondering even more how LE can have proof of death, if no blood involved though.
They did search the river - for days, maybe two weeks. Again, they spent countless hours searching in and around PTL. Including LE, CUE, volunteers. They searched water and land with boats, ATVs, on foot and horseback. A LOT of search efforts were devoted to PTL and the waterway.I am not one to second guess LE... As I have no experience in that profession...
And these agencies have been having success in so many different areas in this case...
But... I have to agree that I am puzzled as to why there has been a decision to not explore/investigate this body of water to a greater extent... and/or for a longer duration of time...
:waitasec:
JMO, but I am not feeling that the M's are any kind of serial criminals other than maybe petty stuff, or fraud. I think this was a one-off personal situation and that SM was caught breaking a promise not to see or communicate with Heather ever again, and that served as motive for the crime. I think TM thought they would resume their normal "perfect" lives once she was out of the picture and that SM would never dare step out on her again.
But she could not control her anger and rage toward Heather...making that FB post clearly shows, IMO, that even after the deed, things were not rosy in Moorer land...

OK, I have that regional stupid feel again. That water is going in the opposite direction I would have thought it would go. I'm used to water coming out of the mountains and heading towards the ocean. In that video, it looks like the water is heading away from the ocean and going inland. Is that right? At about 25 seconds into this video, look at how fast that water is moving at the landing.

ETA: A link would help, sorry.
Hmmm...interesting. If that is PTL, then that is either a rising tide, or a strong wind blowing upriver (note Spanish moss moving in the trees).

But did they use sonar equipment? which is a more sophisticated source of finding bodies under water. How deep is it?
I did see some early pictures of a bunch of boats on the water but it looked kind of random. I guess I just have never seen where LE ever said they did an organized grid search pattern solely focused solely on checking the bottom of the river.
I do believe this type of searching would need a very organized and very thorough grid search of the bottom.
They did mention today something about grid searching so maybe it has already been done.
This is just speculation, but does anyone else think HE may have been strangled? I know the M's love guns, but it seems as though if the murder happened at PTL, there would be a lot of blood to clean up if a gun or knife were used. Wouldn't an arrest have happened more quickly if they found DNA sooner? I don't think they would have been able to clean the crime scene so well at night.
