OK, I have that regional stupid feel again. That water is going in the opposite direction I would have thought it would go. I'm used to water coming out of the mountains and heading towards the ocean. In that video, it looks like the water is heading away from the ocean and going inland. Is that right?

The Waccamaw is a tidal river in it's lower reaches, so sometimes the water moves 'upriver'.

Or maybe it could just be the wind blowing the surface upriver in that particular shot.

Do we know whether TCM really was moved yesterday? Where is she now, Georgetown or JBL? If they are allowed phone calls, I wonder who they're calling, and what they're talking about. Are they allowed visitors? I can't help but think one of them said something to someone that prompted this search, but it doesn't seem they did. Still ....

This is so frustrating! I can't imagine how devestating this is for the Elvis family.

JMO, but I am not feeling that the M's are any kind of serial criminals other than maybe petty stuff, or fraud. I think this was a one-off personal situation and that SM was caught breaking a promise not to see or communicate with Heather ever again, and that served as motive for the crime. I think TM thought they would resume their normal "perfect" lives once she was out of the picture and that SM would never dare step out on her again.

But she could not control her anger and rage toward Heather...making that FB post clearly shows, IMO, that even after the deed, things were not rosy in Moorer land...

I'm so glad you said that. It's one of the reasons I think TM will or did turn. I think she thought HE was the problem and once she was out of the picture everything would be fine. But I think TM found out that wasn't the case. She didn't feel any better or more secure. SM is really her problem. HE was disposable to him, and if they weren't arrested, he would have likely just found a replacement for HE.

I wish TM would have realized that sooner.

I think TM still feels the need to get back at SM for all he's put her through.

Out of the two TM appears to be smarter.
I always maintained it would be her that would flip.
I figured her own birthday would be the impetus.
I never felt that TM felt anything close to remorse (herself pretty much) until she was arrested.
One poster mentioned that a relative of the poster was at the jail and saw her cry after the smiling mugshot.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of HE and with the children of SM and TM.

The reason why I would be shocked if SM rolled first would be because I truly believe he knew all along what would happen to Heather when he called her and lured her out to PTL. THat is just my opinion. That whole sentence. He got her out there. MOO. As her lover (even if she was just a number to him) he had a duty to protect her. Instead he led her to the slaughter.

Even if she was put in the river, it has been over two months. Unless she was really weighted down right there, which it appears she wasn't, she could possibly be anywhere that river travels. Even if they could mathematically pin-point an area, there were storms and she may have gotten caught up along the way.

It would not surprise me if she was disposed of in the river. I don't think they gave it much thought or cared like the problem is solved so to speak...done-over. JMHO

Police, CUE Center continue to search

Horry County Police and the Department of Natural Resources continued to search the area around Peachtree Landing in Socastee.

The CUE Center says the search is still going. People are helping alongside law enforcement. Last weekend, they kicked the search up a notch. The CUE Center is called in more resources, brought in more, and began searching more than the water.

Monica Caison with the CUE Center said it's almost like Heather just vanished. They have been on the water every single day since her disappearance was reported. They have had people and teams of canines on the water. There is nothing to indicate she is in the water at this point, but it is cold, and they need to eliminate any possibility that she is there.

Caison wants to call out to experienced boaters and fishermen that have boats and can help search to contact her directly at 910-343-1131.

Thanks and at from what I am reading it is not the kind of searching that I am referring to. Having a bunch of people out in boats is all good to search near the banks and stuff but this is not what is needed to do a thorough grid search of just the bottom.

I am no expert of bottom water searching but my understanding is it needs a very thorough organization with divers and/or underwater cameras and to meticulously mark each covered area with either boyees or on GPS device.

The only good way to keep track of exactly what has been looked at and what has not been looked at.

Everything I have seen so far just seems so random and not solely focused on the bottom. The underwater bottom area is what I am really interested in. And to know it was meticulously marked off on a grid map.

One thing for sure is it would take much more than just 1 partial day to cover the bottom area that needs searched.

If Cue is just calling out people with boats, that is not the type of meticulous underwater searching that I am really interested in. What LE was doing today is more like it with the divers but 1 day is not near enough. It would take many days and a carefully marked off grid map by buyee or GPS mapping.

ETA: I am kind of an expert at using my sonar to locate fish. I have a really nice sonar device and it marks underwater structure real good. Sonar can also be used, but the problem with it is that so many things are possible bodies with sonar. So cameras and/or divers is most likely needed for bottom searching. Otherwise too many things show up on bottom as possible "hits".

To give you an example. If the bottom of the river has lots of rocks, my sonar will show all these bumps and rocks. They would all look like possible bodies. Whereas a camera or diver could tell a rock from a body.

But i do think they are making very expensive sonar devices these days that LE probably has. Some of them probably can show the structure much more detailed than mine would and maybe they can distinguish rocks and boulders from a body using a really nice sonar device. Sonar basically just shows outlines of things by bouncing off a sound wave from the transducer to the bottom.

That is a black water river moving through a forest preserve. The bottom is going to be covered in downed trees, logs, branches, and all kinds of debris.

Plus, while it's not Minnesota cold, that water is probably no more than 40 degrees F. Divers, even in wet suits, can only work so long in temps like that, and SAR divers are a pretty uncommon resource, even in coastal areas.

Finally, that river extends beyond what appears to be its banks. It's almost more of a flood plain that's always flooded to at least some extent. That means having to work small boats all through those cypress trees and underwater debris.

This is confusing to me. According to LE, the calls/texts started at 2am between HE & SM, but 15 min earlier HE is on the phone to her roommate and is upset (or said she was upset) after receiving a call from SM.

So when did the first call start?

Lord Berkeley Academy........SM graduated from.........is it a regular high school or a special school? Private? Wondering because we have academies here in PA, some are for troubled, problem children and others are for expensive private schools.

Does anyone know anything about his life before TM?
