but wouldn't there be allot of evidence on the ground? Watch parts, blood, bone fragments? Yet nothing. BUT Terry said in 20 minutes LE KNEW HE did not leave PTL willingly. ??????
I am thinking TM would be in a narcisssitic RAGE.............hands on, personal kill.
JMOO

If there had been obvious signs of a murder from the start, it would not have taken twenty minutes, IMO. I think he meant that after seeing car and making calls, he knew it was bad. Also, yellow tape would have gone up and her car would have been towed away on a flat bed. I think LE found traces later or tied some video in that shows Heather never left the dock. JMO

Does anyone have old pictures of the Ms house compared to the ones from the warrant day?????

JMO I really doubt the M's were framed. I doubt anyone could ever get into their house or vehicles or on their property to do so, between cameras and people seeming to be there all the time. And it does not explain the phones. PM's and other evidence LE seems to have, including maybe some video.

For me, the work at the dock today is more likely to be because no one IS talking...and LE is trying to find Heather on their own.

JMO

Unfortunately, I agree. Since Heather wasn't found, I doubt that TCM and SM cracked. I thought for sure one or both did when news of the search was reported. But now, it looks like they aren't saying a word. I was hoping the Elvis family would be able to have Heather back today, I hope their faith keeps them strong until Heather is found.

does anyone know if crime scene tape is up at PTL?
are searchers leaving? Will they be back?
This was way to much money and LE time to be a reenactment, IMOO

Im really quite surprised that there isnt longer attempts at searching the river area. On another case where they were looking for a body in the water, LE and divers searched for 4 FULL days straight and finally found the body on the 4th day about 3/4 mile downstream.

It may just be because I am assuming too much but it seems like the effort to search the water is kind of sporadic and just not extensive or thorough enough.

Sorry but just frustrated that we have no confirmation of where she is yet. If I was near there I would take my john boat out and do some searching myself with my underwater camera that I got at a garage sale and have not tried out yet.

I shared before about how relatively cheap they are these days. Around 1500-2000 gets you a really nice underwater camera that fisherman use but could easily be used to search for bodies. They come with long video cords up to around 100 feet.

Gators do hang around boat ramps. Fishermen usually throw out the old bait fish at ramps and usually there are gators hanging around to get a free meal. However, gators would not have been hanging out at the boat ramp during late December.

Glad our fishermen don't; they'd get more than an earful. Kids swim at all our county boat ramps. In fact, our rivers are more brackish-we waterski and swim everywhere in the river...

So, according to this video, the reporter says that trying a case without a body is very rare, but Horry County has done this twice in the past 6 months.

What was the word he said? Means "Body of Crime".

Does anyone know where this water goes to? Ocean or inland?

At the beginning of this segment of the thread (post #4), OkieGranny has some nice maps posted where you can see the river, then where it joins the Intracoastal Waterway. The ICW has many connections over to the ocean.

I highly doubt that she worked at the Myrtle Beach TK. She graduated from Elgin HS and was/had been working at both TK and Hooters in the Columbia-Irmo area.

Thee are plenty of restaurant jobs along the Grand Strand. The restaurant does not really determine how much money you make. How good of a waitress/server you are (and sometimes how attractive you are depending on clientele) determines your income. It's just odd that Amber and Heather both worked at TK here. Briana DID NOT work at TK in MB. She worked at the Columbia location (about 3 hour drive from MB)

But why leave her car there? Kind of gives away that something happened there and would be the first place LE looked for clues/Heather. If they did drown her, surely they'd have been better to place her back in her car and put it in the water too?

I'm still leaning towards them looking for evidence there, rather than for Heather.

I still don't get why her car was left there though, whether she is in that location or not.

Interesting thought you brought up about leaving the car and not putting it in the water. There have been at least 2 people to run off of PTL in their cars and drown since I have been alive. It is very dark down there and the road runs right into the river. Anyone that has lived here long enough like TM for instance would know about the deaths/accidents in the past. They could have easily drowned her, put her in her car and ran it off into the water, and possibly gotten by with murder. So why didn't they???

OT- If you guys keep posting pictures of cute kittens, I'm going to start posting some of my Boston Terrier's

I am not one to second guess LE... As I have no experience in that profession...

And these agencies have been having success in so many different areas in this case...

But... I have to agree that I am puzzled as to why there has been a decision to not explore/investigate this body of water to a greater extent... and/or for a longer duration of time...
