Besides, Griffin said, Alex Murdaugh had a rock-solid alibi in the hours before he returned to the family's Moselle hunting lodge in Colleton County to find Maggie and Paul shot to death near the property's dog kennels.

Murdaugh was visiting with his mother, who has dementia, and watching a game show with her and a caregiver, Griffin said.

If this statement from Griffin is what is taken as fact to AM being at mothers during murders I tend to not believe it.

Since those in AM's employ, including his lawyer, are inclined to do whatever AM's instructs, I would say AM does not have a rock-solid alibi, not even semi-solid.

I hope this piece of property is looked over real good, just seems that it was very important to get out of Murdaugh name in the middle of his meltdown.

A South Carolina statewide grand jury is convening in the state capital of Columbia, S.C. this week to consider matters related to the ongoing ‘Murdaugh Murders’ true crime saga.

This would be the second grand jury empaneled at the state level (that we know of) to consider criminal charges against 53-year-old Alex Murdaughand others involved in the web of illicit activity revolving around him, his family and the influential law firm it founded in Hampton, S.C.
South Carolina Statewide Grand Jury Meeting On Murdaugh Case

So…we know a grand jury investigation is currently taking place regarding Alex Murdaugh’s possible obstruction of justice in the investigation of Paul’s boat crash which killed Mallory Beach.

We also know a grand jury investigation is currently taking place regarding Alex’s “courier” and that person’s involvement with the Cowboys and the $200,000 check Alex paid to this person (who I think is Eddie-MOO).

So what is this one??? Murder, perhaps? (fingers crossed)

This dated nov 1

A state grand jury is looking into a trail of money from Alex Murdaugh’s alleged opioid drug habit to a Lowcountry gang based in the Walterboro-area and believed to be called the “Cowboys,” according to sources familiar with the investigation.

More than $200,000 worth of checks were written between early June, when Murdaugh’s wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, were shot to death at the family home, and in early September when Murdaugh allegedly staged a botched suicide attempt, sources said. The murders are still unsolved.

Prior to the June 7 deaths of his wife and son, Murdaugh had been writing checks of only about $10,000 to $20,000 a month or so to the go-between, the sources said.

“The checks make the money trail very easy to follow,” one source said.

Sources said agents with the State Law Enforcement Division have already targeted suspects in the case.

A state grand jury is expected to convene in November to investigate the drug pipeline that fed disgraced attorney Alex Murdaugh's decadeslong addiction to opioids, a habit that was exposed after millions of dollars went missing from his former law firm and clients, multiple sources told The Post and Courier.

Subpoenas began going out this week calling people to testify about Murdaugh's use and purchase of opioid pills, according to sources familiar with the probe. They spoke to the newspaper on the condition of anonymity due to the rules of secrecy surrounding the grand jury process.

The grand jury probe is said to extend beyond Smith and into a larger network of suppliers who fed Murdaugh's growing and increasingly expensive pill habit.

AM desperate to preserve his wealth, right?

Do you think Eddie is AM's liaison with the Cowboys? Has an ever more direct connection been suggested or named?

Thats the way I read it.

On November 1st, FITS News reported that a grand jury had convened to investigate “checks written by Alex Murdaugh to a drug courier for the Cowboys, a local Walterboro gang that deals in opioids and meth.”

FITS news reported at that time that “sources familiar with the investigation have indicated an attorney representing one of the individuals at the heart of this grand jury inquiry recently approached the office of acting U.S. attorney Rhett DeHart in the hopes of securing a “proffer” for his client.”

So who is it that Alex paid over $200,000 to after the murders of Maggie & Paul? Well, who also lives in Walterboro? Who has faced prior methamphetamine charges?
My opinion is that it’s Eddie.

Now, whether or not the grand jury finds enough evidence to indict this “courier” is yet to be seen. If this person under investigation is Eddie, he may not have given Alex’s $200,000 to the Cowboys.

I think what’s most important is that we now know that if Eddie & Alex are both already under investigation, so this new grand jury investigation announced today might mean one of them talked (hopefully).

It took AM's lawyer until the middle of October to explain the particulars of his rock-solid alibi? They let their client be called a POI by SLED and be widely speculated about because of that.

AM's lawyers (neither did his brothers, one being a lawyer himself) never said he was watching a game show with his dementia-inflicted mother, during the timeframe of the murders (according to the coroner) and this was corroborated by a worker who was present also.

Opening up about the particulars of a client's very important alibi took 5 months? That, IMO, seems extremely...lackadaisical...for want of a better word. AJMO

What possible senario, related to the double murders, can either AM or his cousin Eddie give LE that can blame the other yet keep themself clean?

Even if AM's lawyers want to work out a deal for their client to proffer information, if it has anything to do with cousin Eddie and paying massive amounts of money to him right after the murders, I doubt LE will accept any offer squealing on Eddie before he gets to have his say about it all too.

What a tightrope SLED is walking. I sure hope somebody at lower levels, maybe a "Cowboy" or two, comes clean about what they know. Someone knows besides AM and his "drug courier." AJMO

Murdaugh lawyers file motion against freezing of assets

https://www.counton2.com/the-murdau...wyers-file-motion-against-freezing-of-assets/

The motion argues that South Carolina law requires three elements for a preliminary injunction to be granted– (1) that the plaintiff would suffer irreparable harm if the injunction is not granted; (2) that the plaintiff will likely succeed in the litigation; and (3) that the plaintiff has an inadequate remedy at law — yet the order freezing the Murdaughs assets “only addresses one of these three requirements.”

Lawyers for the Murdaughs also argue that the appointing of co-receivers is a “drastic remedy” and is unwarranted under the given circumstances.

Getting nervous they are. Jmo

While attorneys said they could not release the exact amount of the settlement, Bland, speaking on behalf of himself and his partner, Ronnie Richter, added that, not only has the Satterfield estate resolved its differences with Palmetto State Bank, "We've recovered in the aggregate an amount in excess of $6.5 million from a number of sources."

Those sources, he added, include Westendorf, Fleming, Moss, Kuhn & Fleming, several insurance companies and PMPED.

Bland stated that, after Murdaugh allegedly stole the Satterfield heirs' settlement, one of Satterfield's sons was struggling financially and lost his family home to repossession.

"Alex knew about this, and let it happen, and it was absolutely despicable," Bland said. "This caused Brian, the vulnerable adult, to be pushed out onto the street. That fact alone keeps my oven hot every day."
