Found Safe SC - Three children, ages 2-4, Smoaks, 9 March 2016

Unless you're reading a different article, I think the children were in the custody of their great uncle. In the latest video shot this morning, he states that he went inside to get a cigarette and when he returned, another child said "Daddy, where's Deuce"? So the idea that he was chatting with a neighbor when the kids disappeared apparently has morphed. I will be very surprised if these little ones are found wandering in the woods, which at first seemed very likely until the guardian's story changed so significantly.

Thank you Jeanna. I need to re read.

I think it's likely he may have been asleep, or not even on the property when the kids disappeared.

Yes, it's possible he was asleep or online, not just stepping inside for a moment to grab a cigarette. If this is an accidental wandering off, I think the kids were unsupervised for awhile.

I'm hope the kids wandered off, but am feeling uncomfortable about the changing story ("I turned my back" is now "I stepped inside for a cigarette").

I can't find Bent Gate Lane in Smoaks, SC on Google maps.

In rethinking, if all he's guilty of is greatly fudging on how long the kids were unsupervised, it does seem to lead to the theory they wandered off. If they were completely unsupervised, say for an hour or more, it's likely they just got bored and took a hike. I'm still wondering about the OTHER son who alerted him that "Deuce" was missing. Is there really another child involved who could shed some light about where the kids are?

You have to go to Zillow. The maps don't match up at all, but the trailer is such an unusual color you can find it on satellite. IF you google sunrise and augusta highway, Bent Gate is near there.

According to earlier reports, he noticed they were missing at 6:00pm, he and others looked around and called police at 6:30pm.

How long he hadn't seen them prior to 6:00pm, I don't know.

So there was only about 1/2 to an hour since he noticed they were missing and the police were called in, unless all three, 2, 3, and 4 year olds were hauling a$$ deep into the woods, I just don't see them in there.

I had to double check because I just rolled out of bed. But I thought I had read that right. Prayers for these babies. :(

Now the mother is saying that they would NEVER go into the woods:

Mom & grandma of missing girls say they know the kids weren't playing in the woods "that's not what they do"

That makes the legal guardian guy, mother and grandmother all saying the same thing.

When did the school bus drop them off? He noticed them missing at 6pm, but that doesn't mean they actually went missing at 6.

Kids are unpredictable. Younger kids are very unpredictable. My hinky meter is going crazy right now.
I highly doubt that these kids are not in the woods unless there's more to the story that they are not telling us.
If they had a fenced in yard, I would understand leaving them out and checking every 15 minutes. I don't know. I'm on the fence. These are such young kids. Ugh!
I hope all 3 are found safe.

Don't know what time but he says they came home, got changed, did homework and went out to play, like usual. ( not sure if he mentioned they had a bite to eat in that, he may have done)

I haven't read anything about them being dropped off by school bus prior to doing homework, then playing.

He may have said it in MSM video news reports.

Here's the comment about him talking to a neighbor. Turned around and then they were gone.

Just watched a video posted of the grandmother on the WCBDNews Facebook page. She speaks of justice of who would take her take her grandkids. I also read another article that the boy is a cousin of the two sisters.

How truly terrifying! They are all precious. I'm with you all here - baffled and trying to make sense of it all.

The children's grandmother Tracey Valentine believes the kids were "taken" and pleaded for their safe return.

Valentine said the children were being watched by her brother from across the street.

Valentine said she thinks the kids left the front yard, went to the side of the house where they were playing with some trucks that had previously been on their back porch. She said she believes someone took the children from the side of the house because that's where the toys were left.

"They're not going to wander off," she said. "I know my grandkids. They're not gonna wander off."

She begged for anyone who may have taken the children to bring them home and said the family is "going through hell."

"Shamyra, the two year old, she cries a lot and I know she wants her mom," Valentine said. "'Cause she don't go nowhere without her mother."

She also said she believes the children were taken by someone who knows them because the kids would not go with a stranger.

When you see this area on the map, it is a pretty remote area. I cannot see anyone just happening upon them and abducting them! One maybe, but three??? I so want to believe this story that is being told. I hope these sweet babies show up very soon. I am of the opinion they have wandered off.

The guardian has said "thee is no way they went to the woods", but also has said "if anyone grabbed him he would have screamed loudly"! to me these are conflicting statements about what could have happened.

1. They wandered off.

2. They were abducted.

3. Someone did them harm and is covering up.

BTW-all pictures of these kids look like they are taken care of very well. They look to be happy kids. I really do not see anyone harming all 3 kids.
