As of Friday morning, police spokesman Sam Clemens said he does not know whether there's anything suspicious about the situation at this point. Officers have received several tips since Wednesday, but have not managed to find her yet, he said.

A relative called police and reported her missing, he said.

"She basically left, and that's unusual behavior for her," Clemens said. "She doesn't just do that, so there was some concerns."

Initially, the report was made to just try and find her and make sure she was OK, Clemens said. Then detectives reached out to him yesterday and asked for the public's help.

If you see Armstrong or her car, please call 911.
Sioux Falls police ask for public's help in finding missing woman
Wow! I just saw this on fb. I'm headed to the press conference/release.
Hope she found ok.....

I do not know any more info than the info posted to that page regarding the time. I think it was her older son if I remember correctly that gave the 12 - 1 AM time frame. No mention has been given regarding why she left or if they knew where she was headed. I know that some of her family was in Sioux Falls to search last weekend and they were trying to find her vehicle and her phone but that is all they have shared. I know people that have been looking in random places and parking lots around the area but they weren't part of the family search.

I cannot imagine how here loved ones are dealing with this. :(
So in reality we have the son's say that she left and would be back quick?

Still no trace of Angela Armstrong

South Dakota authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a dark grey Chevy Traverse as they continue their search for 45-year-old Angela Armstrong.

Armstrong disappeared at around midnight on June 3 from her Sioux Falls residence. She was last seen driving a dark grey 2017 Chevy Traverse, with South Dakota license plate, 44ZW44. According to Sioux Falls police spokesperson Sam Clemens, investigators have “hit a wall” while pursuing leads and have not been able to locate her vehicle.

“If anybody sees that vehicle, we want them to call police,” Clemens said, according to the Argus Leader. “Basically, any type of dark gray Chevy Traverse with 44-county plates, call police. The detectives have really done a lot of different things, but we just haven’t come up with any leads.”

“She basically left, and that’s unusual behavior for her,” Clemens added. “She doesn’t just do that, so there was some concerns.”

Clemens said that he doesn’t know if Armstrong is in and doesn’t have information on where she could have gone. When she left home, she told her son that she would be back shortly. No one has heard from her since.

Does a 2017 Chevy Traverse have GPS??

Where would she be going in the middle of the night leaving two young children at home? During a pandemic, what would be open at that hour?
Our Walmarts are all closing at 4-5pm due to the protests and have been doing so for quite a while. Convenience stores also.
Perhaps someone like their father/husband was at the house?

There is some more info on this FB page they say up for Angie.

Missing Angela Armstrong
They say: "The police are actively investigating Angie's disappearance.
1. The police are working with her cell phone provider and banking institution to obtain what is needed.
2. On Star cannot be utilized to locate Angie's car. Unfortunately, FCC privacy laws require the number assigned to a car to wiped clean without a current subscription or renewed subscription. Therefore, her On Star can only be activated from within her car. This is the only way even if you had a warrant or paid for a subscription to On Star for her car.
3. Family conducted a small search over the past weekend- June 6th-7th. If another search is organized the details will be posted to this page."

I have concerns at her leaving and saying she'd be back quick. Did I understand right, that her oldest son said this?

With all of these new missing persons cases, in the US (especially ones in the bigger cities) the first thing that comes to my mind is; did they come across a radical rioter? What is the likelihood of that happening? God, I hope that didn’t happen. Please, please, please be safe.
I think the likelihood is close to zero. Especially in Sioux Falls.

PS: they're called protests. :)
