Would that be The Second Book of Nephi or the First?

Whatever teaches her that "Thou Shalt Not Kill" and that to be a good Mormon- murder and adultery are the top two sins. She's lost any Temple recommendation she ever had, and hopefully they excommunicated her!

Completely agree. She was a stalker and password hacker, not a tech mastermind IMO

I agree that password hacking was probably her preferred method. She was a master stalker though. Could she have sought help from confidant Matt McCartney re technology? Key logger programmes were very easy to install and required little more than physical access to set up initially (and remove). Interestingly, Spybot was often recommended to check such programmes were present on a computer. Would experts have found traces? If so, it seems unlikely that the programme was present on June 4.

There are hardware and software options for key logging. One of the most well know uses is for checking if a spouse or partner is cheating. Could Arias have resisted a tool that would give her the widest possible access? Cell phone spying software was also available. It's a possibility she could have used this for some of the time then used Spybot to remove all traces? I don't know if forensic examination would then find some trace. Without this evidence, I fall back to the password hacking techniques.

Ex-communication has to be a must. Remember in court where Juan Martinez asked her about the tenets of her faith (including lying) and she shot back with the arrogant Nephi quote? Another gem where she shot herself in the foot. Little Miss No Knowledge correcting Juan. Every time she did that, he won.

The AZ DOC just changed vendor policies. No more Barnes and Noble, no more Amazon, for books, CD's or cassette tapes. WalMart it is. No doubt explains the timing of her book drive charade.

BTW, she's full of it if she thinks she's gonna be allowed to receive piles of books (even if they were forthcoming) and to hand them out.

A. Rules strictly limit how many books (or anything else) she's allowed to have at one time

B. Rules strictly forbid her from transferring property of any kind to inmates she designates.

That said....my favorite suggestion tweeted: "rip out the last chapter of any book you send, so she'll never know how the book ends."

LOL. How wicked. :D

She's saying she's going to donate any books sent to the 30 yards library..

http://www.walmart.com/browse/books/top-200-books/3920_1057224

Walmart has more books than I thought...wonder if they have to be paperback. Wouldn't want Large Marge slamming some inmate upside the head with War and Peace..

Hi TW

IMO computer forensics would definitely reveal key logger program. I don't think she was that resourceful. I don't think she'd ask Matt either. Martinez and the defense interviewed him. If the computer experts and/or Matt had given Martinez evidence of key logger being used Martinez would have used it. Imo

Top 3 treatises on my list for Jodi:
"Accelerated global warming and the desertification and dessication of Goodyear, AZ, especially as pertains to the high certainty of catastrophic numbers of desert rats, fire ants, cooties for pooties, navel-loving spiders, and lice that have evolved to luuuuuuurve dry hair".
"Teach yourself to be rational for Dummies".
"How to get along with your prison warden: the one thing you should know." This is a 100-page treatise that reiterates the same point over and over: kiss butt; she's in charge.

I'm thinking Jodi needs that Dandruff shampoo 'cos she's got lice. Maybe some of the other stuff is for bed bugs.

Maybe she treats her crotch crickets with it??

The first few choices on their page would be good for her: 10-day green smoothie cleanse, first 100 words-picture book, and Jesus Calling.
tried to edit, but my connection cr*pped out- Nora Roberts also has a new one titled "The Obsession", and there's one called "Fool Me Once"!

Whatever. As in whatever she's thinking, ain't gonna happen that way. The whole thing is ludicrous, and more about about getting attention than books.

How about sending her a Jodi-journal-knockoff? Pages randomly and retroactively inserted here and there, sometimes from other books? Subbed-in sentences with words from erudite academic wannabes? The title of the journal should be Nothing of Consequence. The title should be on every page.

Has she started teaching Spanish yet to the Hispanic inmates at Perryville??? What about donating her hair?

Am finding it difficult to imagine that her airs and pretensions are endearing her to fellow maximum security inmates on the 30 yard.

Wonder if they know she's claiming to do a book drive for them, all by her slashing self, and is trying to dictate their reading choices?

Even better if they find out that this is actually about getting folks to send books to her that she intends for herself, only donating them to the library after she's read them, because she's not allowed to keep more than a handful at a time anyway (and no hardcovers at all- she'll have to wait for Conviction to be released in paperback).

Agree. She thinks she'll be seen as Jodi the Benevolent, bettering the lives of the Wrongly Accused of Perryville.

Maybe she thinks she's Andy Dufresne from the Shawshank Redemption

"After a couple of years, Andy uses his skills to help the prison officers and guards with their taxes and investments. This ensures that Andy is no longer troubled by other nasty prisoners. With time, Andy is made responsible for the prison library. He becomes an unofficial financial consultant, while he works diligently to upgrade the library by requisitioning for books and funds."

Yeah, she still trying to control things and people to fit what she wants.

That's still more charitable than me... I wouldn't waste a single cent sending her anything.

Iirc, TS had formatted the laptop at one time as well, which would surely have removed any old traces of such programs that she may have installed while in Mesa. Now whether TA attempted that on his own after being told he should just junk it in May, who knows. I know formatting is not that difficult as long as TA either had the original discs or some way to re-install the factory settings, which TS must have had when he worked on it. That could be why JA flipped out in May... maybe she'd lost her direct access and had to go back to online stalking on FB/Myspace and hacking into his email accts to try and keep tabs on him, at which point TA caught her.

Okay kids, who feels like flooding her with erotica, romance novels, and Westerns??? We should also send her 1,000 places to visit, and copies of Travis's book, Juan's book, Nurmi's book, and maybe the Hughes's too... Any other good ideas?
Ohoh, how about the Book of Mormon?

LOL - how is that list going for her?? I am sure PERRYVILLE is not included! :steamed: :rolling: :rolling:

Yes, I think this book drive is the altruistic earth angel's code for 'No one is sending me any books to read, dammit!'.

Happy 1st anniversary, .

The prize you won, brat, were the bars of your cage,
A hoard of sardines, butt creams, and your rage
At being seen for the monster you killed to disguise
As a victim of Travis, twice buried in lies.

Those 1,000 places you felt entitled to see?
Checked off now in tears shed in self-pity—poor me!!
For you, though, some wishes, to honor the day,
And for them to come true? For that I will pray.

May your every minute feel twice longer than last,
May you be haunted by your lost dreams of the past,
May you be laughed at until all jokes of you stale,
May all your appeals be denied or just fail.

And above all else, may thoughts of you fade
As you wither in prison and die an “old maid.”

I think it's a possibility that she installed key logger software at some stage and removed it. It was easy to do and she had plenty of opportunity and access to Travis' laptop in 2007/early 2008.

If the computer was wiped completely, traces of past installations may have gone. I agree with TexMex re the computer experts finding nothing in June 2008. It lowers the likelihood massively at that point. Arias was a control freak and obsessive psychopathic stalker. Could she have resisted the chance to spy on Travis' every key stroke? Got to admit it would have been a mighty temptation for her but I always return to the evidence.

Yeah, she still trying to control things and people to fit what she wants.

This made me laugh. Get out of Arias' head NOW. Run, run.
