Camera thought.....

Do any of you speculate that the camera and taking photos in the shower were NOT in JA's murder plan?

That she happened on the camera and on the fly decided to incorporate it into the pre-made plan?

And since she hadn't thought through the camera thing ahead of time, she didn't think through the many liabilities it might generate, like what to do with it before during and after, or how it might get in the way when she was dealing with Travis, or underestimating and throwing it in the wash....
I have thought about that too. Her original plan may have been to shoot him while he slept in the morning and leave. But he wouldn't go to sleep. According to Flores report, Travis told Enrique that he only slept 45 minutes on the 4th. If Enrique remembered it correctly, then Travis was up moving furnitures around, assembling the cleaner, just not going to sleep.

The had to change her original plan then that included the camera.

Quick ?.do you still have to go to bk site to see all of the texts and emails and journals? I'm reading your threads on them from 2015,(don't judge me) and just wondering if there's been any change in how to acquire them.

Not sure who you're asking, but BK's site is still the only place on online with the text records (Dec 07-June 08) and all available journals .

I've re-upped for this one month to finally at long last these years later, to print the dang texts out. ;)

I think JM knew about the illogical timelines but stuck to his strategy which was to prove premeditation, 3 gas cans, and her attempts to cover up. He didn't get sidetracked by any of ' lies that deviated from what he knew to be true. He focused only on items that he could prove categorically and unequivocally and what were paramount for a successful conviction.

For example, he had the complete phone record but focused on her post-murder calls to Travis only. No detectives or phone guys testified about the time she called Ryan, MM, Leslie, and Brewer. When Ryan testified that called him at 10:30 pm/9:30 AZ, JM did not point out the impossibility of that timeline. Instead he focused on the lies told to Ryan by the and her promiscuous behavior with him.

Augh...I'm one of those minds that thinks about the price and considers that is 3gallons of milk out of my baby's mouth so on the fence!

Perhaps. JM knew, for instance, that Ryan had initially told Flores the called him at 11:00PM, not at 10:30.

For either Nurmi or JM, no point would have been served by questioning Burns about the discrepancy.

I'm still not completely convinced the lack of challenge to the timestamps' accuracy indicates disinterest or strategy, though.

The camera evidence was arguably the most important in the entire trial (as importsnt or more so than the gas cans, imo). It would be a curious thing if both sides shrugged their shoulders about the timestamps seemingly disproving a timeline.

As Salberg7 noted, yep, the COA has granted extension #4 to the 's attorneys for filing their opening brief.

The new due date isn't June 20, though, sadly.

The Court set a deadline of June 15 for the State to reply to the 's motion to seal specific portions of their brief AND to have the deadline extended yet again.

's attorneys were given until June 20 to reply to the State's reply, not to actually file the brief.

So, after receiving both replies by or on June 20 (theoretically), the Court will rule whether or not portions of the brief may be sealed, AND whether or not to allow what must be request for a fairly long extension of the 's opening brief.

Bottom line: there is no current due date for 's opening brief, and there is no end to the exceptional treatment of their brief 's attorneys keep demanding.

LOL I replied a little too soon. That was a very odd answer, and since she hadn't see TA since she went back to Yreka, how could they have gotten back to his house? I'm sure Flores knew she was lying right away, who leaves their watch on the counter and only wears it when he's sleeping? It begs the question though, why did she bring them back and leave them in that place after killing him?

A PST timeline (and evidence you don't accept, lol) provides one reply.

She woke Travis up at some point in the AM. Surprise! I had to stop by on my way to Utah because I want us to part as friends. I brought your ring and watch and the photos you asked for awhile ago, and guess what, your handwritten chapter too.

No hard feelings, OK? So, let's try out that new camera of yours.

Travis took some convincing. She hadn't planned for that. Ultimately he gave in. She took the photos. Travis didn't trust her. He deleted them afterwards.

When? After they went downstairs. He assumed she would be leaving then, to hasten on to her new BF in Utah. But she wouldn't leave. Why? Because she planned on killing him in the shower, and he hadn't trusted her enough to jump into the shower right after the sex he already felt crappy about because it made him feel crappy about himself. And her.

She wouldn't go and wouldn't go . He pulled out the tile cleaner as a most unsubtle clue she was no longer welcome. He took off the ring and watch and put them on the kitchen counter.

Maybe Zach called and told Travis he would be home in a few. Maybe she couldn't justify staying any longer.

She left but didn't leave. Zach returned then did leave. In between, TA went on his computer in the study, saw no need to greet Zach, Zach didn't hear him in the study because he TA was alone and occupied. Maybe he deleted the photos then, or did so upstairs, near the love sac where he had earlier returned the camera to its box/bag.....

Zach left. The snuck back in, checked his computer briefly ((4:19) to make sure he hadn't emailed anyone that she been there, then put up the doggie gate and headed upstairs to surprise TA in the shower.

Thank youand yes, quite the addicted addicted already lol right now,I'm just going over everyone's theories....at least until my phone dies

Welcome, but good luck with reading all the theories! There are so many threads in this folder, you'd be at it 'til the end of time.

However, you might want to find the posts for July 2016. Several of us currently active were guiding H4M live while she was driving around Mesa, exploring TA's neighborhood, getting on the road to Kingston, timing it, trying out different locations for cell service.... It was quite the sleuth job.

Hmmm...I don't hate this theory (well, except for the nudies and sex lolol) it does follow the evidence and makes sense given what we know about them and that day. Oh - she also gave him the check for the 2 months of wrecked-car payments she just kept forgetting about. ;)

Weren't the ring and watch found on the counter after he was found on the 9th?
I think I remember those two items of Travis' that were found in his house were were mentioned in court as having been collected and catalogued by L.E. -- or maybe they were just documented. Regardless, I've always wondered why Jodi didn't swipe them on her way out of the house as momentos of her kill. And it wasn't until reading the exchange of text messages that Hope just posted that I realized Jodi had actually swiped them on her way out of Mesa for Yreka, and she was actually returning them on June 4th! Wow! What nerve that woman had! And probably had all along! And probably still has! Sheesh, with friends like her, who needs enemas?

Oh wow! Ya,I've been reading threads from 2years ago.yoi guys are so much more informed than other places I've been.... honestly,I can't believe I'm dragging my soul back through this trial.yeesh!

The CTR ring and watch must have been relevant to some scam had going? Maybe some (or one) photo she had taken and planted when he was or wasn't wearing his watch. And she wasn't sure LE had recovered the camera (Flores was able to lie to her ,and this was an important detail). She was trying to convey that since he wasn't wearing a watch, he must have been sleeping?

At the very least, she must have needed the ring and watch detail that she offered up, because it protected another lie. Or she thought it might protect another lie. What lie?

Or in reverse....another lie protected this one?

BBM. The quote reads the opposite, IMO: TA only took the watch and ring off when he was sleeping.

I believe you can still go there. However you could look at H4M's extensive analyses in the summer of 2016. Maybe under their own thread (I've forgotten where she put them)?

There's a lot of stuff that was never available...
