Does anyone else feel like there was a post karaoke "slumber party" the night before? Maybe MM or his floor-mate had a Sony camera as well and she took the memory stick from that session?

I don't know about a "slumber party" but there probably was an orgy in that apartment. It makes me wonder just who all made the Mesa trip with her, maybe not even in the same car. I know, I am a conspiracy theorist. :facepalm:

Yes, that's exactly what I understood Chris to be doing. I took Travis' response to be ironic: Jodi never had any money and TA always had to pay for everything, "so, Jodi, fine with me, but you'll have to pay for the room". Evidently, TA could have used some help in paying for his room, so there's a wry allusion to that. We might never know, either, if TA knew Chris had sent that text and he was just playing along. It's a very, very complicated exchange, because TA's response could have been going in all these directions at once.

I'd think just about anything is possible with her but in her nudes the sheets are clearly the same ones that are on Travis' bed.

Excellent point, as usual! But I still suspect she slept with one or both of those guys the night before because her quick "on the floor of course" sheepish denial when JM asked if she stayed over was a little odd to me. Because he (or maybe she?) was with CMJA the night before the murder, I imagine the roommate was questioned by investigators and I always wonder why that wasn't part of the trial. During the penalty phase retrial there was a quick mention of JA being "in heat" and I always wonder if that was from MM or the roommate's interview?

March 13-15 conference texts read like a Shakespearean comedy. Seriously. Looking for the Pao texts just now I read more of the texts between Chris H and TA.

Will post a fuller sense of what was going on- multiple peeps playing multiple games of various kinds, but here's a straightforward moment..

Chris is trying to get Travis to come up to a mini party in his/Sky's room. Travis wants to go, but tells Chris he can't shake the killer (and knows Sky would not tolerate her coming too).

Chris texts....".just tell her (killer) that you need to take a dump."

And quickly adds........never mind. She'd just offer to come in and wipe.

How in the world could ALV have read this and still came away with Sky + Jodi = Best Friends Forever?? Or honestly testified that, as an expert, she saw no evidence of stalking when even his best friend was joking about JA offering to wipe??? Wow, absolutely no evidence of anyone seeing her as a pathetic stalker there!

I've always thought Nurmi had incredible nerve complaining so vehemently about what a circus the trial was, with the unbelievable amount of hooey the defense was putting out there it couldn't have been anything but a circus.

But weren't at least some of the nude pics time stamped for that day? Earlier pics would maintain their own time stamps, so they were either taken that day or she somehow deliberately changed them to that day.

There's evidence that someone had been sitting outside his bedroom on the "lovesac" with the camera, that's where the new camera bag had been found and the box for the new camera was found sitting downstairs on top of his desk. I think that someone was likely JA.

I wondered the same thing. I was married for many years too and never was that observed. It was a curious pic and I don't think the camera or the enhancement procedures had anything to do with the color

Between possibly having just freshly shaven himself down there(which would include the whole package) and then used a bit of KY... I can see some irritation occurring.

There was nothing on the camera's internal memory according to the testimony, these pics were all recovered from the memory stick and the nudes were all from unallocated spaces whereas the shower pics had simply been deleted.

As for the internal memory of the camera not showing anything, maybe that's
the real reason the camera was left there, broken, she knew it couldn't be used to access its memory?

I never saw those compromising photos because they have all been redacted. I have heard rumors of extraordinary body parts, but that's all. How did you guys see all this stuff? If you tell me, I'll volunteer to "play doctor".

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are asking here. Are you asking for a description of her doo-dads? If so:

If her hoo-ha were a Rorschach ink blot card, the first image that comes to mind is a "Cow Catcher".

And all I can say about Door #2 is it looks like it was drilled and bored with a countersink drill bit.

Just mindboggling how ALV flagrantly gave opinions 180 degrees opposite the evidence. Equally mindboggling that she still gives professional talks and evidently has audiences for those. Why is anyone allowing her to take the podium at a serious conference? I hope bad karma sinks her retirement plans: I have no patience for fraud.

And finally, it's mindboggling that Martinez managed to get the "Jodi is a stalker" theme across when he was allowed no evidence to work with.

Does anyone know how PPL accounting worked? Came across a curious exchange and wonder if she was scamming him, but don't enough about the process to know if it was possible/how it would have worked.

An associate asked Travis if he'd sent the check yet. Travis said no, because he had seen that his account had already been charged and assumed the payment had been made.

I'm not sure how you'd end up with geneaology from a gene test. Certainly not unless your ancestors' genomes were also on file, and that seems very unlikely since it's quite a new idea. For the sake of their genealogies, they could have researched in the vast Mormon genealogical holdings, no genome necessary.

Genetic genealogy testing has been available since the year 2000. Since the original reference was vague, I offered the possibility that this was the type of test Travis was seeking, since his sister had said that both of them were exploring their genealogy. As to whether their ancestors genomes were on file, the way to find that out would be to have the test.

I still think she was in haste to clean up and grabbed towels to clean up the blood. (Not a every good job at cleaning, IMO). She probably wanted to wash the camera with bleach. She took out the SD card (which is very small) and "lost" it in her cleaning haste.

When Flores brought up the pics in the interview, she seemed surprised and wanted to see them.

The SD card, IMO, was what determined her fate, and without the pics, she may have gotten away with murder.

The shower pics were found where? Weren't they all date and time stamped? Travis allowed her to take the pics of him naked in the shower and the picture taking went on for more than several minutes. I doubt he asked her to take them, and she might have even surprised him in the shower after he thought she had left. But he let her take the pics.

(Up to the ones where he's sitting down, because I'm convinced she had pulled out the gun to make him do so).

IMO there is no way he would have done so if they hadn't been "intimate" earlier. It would have creeped him out or even flat out scared him otherwise, and he would at least have turned off the shower and made himself less vulnerable.

I have no idea, this woman was nuts and did stupid things and clever things, maybe there is a reason we can't conceive from a psycho like her, but you have a valid point, "why would she put fake photos on his camera. But the pic of him lying on the bed appearing to be asleep after 50 seconds of her rear photo doesn't make sense. This is a real puzzle for someone to figure out.

Every time I see a question in relation to Why or How or What, I secretly hope that the JM book release will have so much information that it blows our ever lovin' minds!

The things that man is privy to is astounding, and I'm positive his brain holds all the answers, even the ones we will never know due to all of the 'seals' in place. That dude is amazing, no doubt. I can't imagine how frustrating it was for him to complete this trial, dancing around all of the facts that he wasn't allowed to present.
